I lost my apps and games somehow...HELP!

I somehow lost the apps that I had on my IPOD...it might have been when I synced and it asked if I wanted to put the purchases from my IPOD to itunes...I said no...
Any way to get them back without paying all over again?

If you are referring to apps and games for an iPod touch, this Apple article says you can just re-download them again (at no cost).

Very disappointingly, when I restored my iPad 1 backup to my iPad 2, I lost some but not all apps and games save data etc.
Some of that stuff took hours!
Any way of recovering it? Why would it affect some and not others, I wonder.

The same thing happened to me. All apps loaded (though I lost my folders), but not of the data. I was almost done with Angry Birds, and now I'm back at square one. ggrrrrr....

Try:

I bought a few songs and alot of apps and games on my lost Ipod.
When i buy a new one am I going to be able to download them again with out charge?

If you copy all your purchases to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, then the update will be able to restore your apps and their content and settings back to the iPad after installing iOS 5. Before starting the update you should also backup the device (right-click the iPad 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, files, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab in iTunes, wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe.

Does anyone know how you can save your apps and games on your iPad when you switch iTunes accounts?

We are a family of 5, each with our own Apple devices (at least 2 per member). We have been using one iTunes account for the devices with the exception of my wife's iPhone. All of the kids devices have been on my iTunes account. We would now like to set each of the kids up with their own iTunes account but we are concerned that to do so will mean that we will have to repurchase all of the apps and games and that the progressive games like Dragonvale will be lost. Can anyone help?

You will have to restore and thus erase the iPod. If you stuff is in a backup y can restore from backup. Otherwise it is lost.

You can sync iOS apps from your compute's iTunes library to your iPod. An iPod will only run iOS apps/games. It will not run or even sync computer apps/games.

Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and right-click the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and select 'Restore From Backup' from the pop-up : backups and restoring.
You will need to restore the complete backup to the iPad, you can't just restore photos.

in order to restore your songs and apps, you should just reconnect to itunes and sync your data. your phone ran a backup before it upgraded, and you can also do a restore. but the key is still to go to your itunes and sync back to your phone what you wanted there in the first place.

Because now many app require iOS 4.3 or higher. The 2G iPod can only go as high as 4.2.1. If yo want those apps you need a newer model iPod.
