I lost my apps icons

I have lost my app icons. When I go into Apps and do a search, I can open them, but the icons aren't on my screen. Also, I lost my calculator and other utilities. Anyone know how to get them back?

They are most likely on a different page. Try swiping all the way from right to left.

Have you checked to see if the Apps have been placed in an App folder?
Try swiping down from the middle of the screen so the search bar appears. Type the name of the App and if the App appears it is indeed on your phone.
You could also try restarting your device by holding the power and home button until the Apple logo appears.

Do you mean the App Store app or a different app ? If the App Store, then if you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I lost an app icon. The app is still there but the icon is gone.

I did something and one of my app icons disappeared from my phone. The app is still there because when I double click on the home button and it opens up what apps are open, that app is there. It's just the icon that is missing. How do I get it back?

Check Settings < General < Restrictions < Enable Restrictions and then restore the icons back to the home screen.

Missing an icon for a magazine app. Can open the app from the search screen, but where is the icon? Checked all screens and folders. Disappeared when I tried to drop icon into a folder.

I don't think so and it would appear to have found its natural home! I am sure you could live with it.

go to settings > general > restrictions and make sure Restrictions are not on,
Also look in any folders on your ipad to see if it is there.

Its a preinstalled app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you in the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press until the icon wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I have gone through the router reset for home network, Router reset at work. Restarted my personal hotspot on my iPhone that is running the same IOS.
I have performed the Network settings reset on the iPad.
I have performed a hard reboot on the iPad, (Home button and power button until logo appears)
Also I had to update the Apple driver on my laptop for iTunes to see my iPad after I had updated iTunes, I'm not sure if I lost wifi after I updated the iPad IOS or updating iTunes.

Upgraded App World.. Lost the App World icon

I have a BB Tour 9630. I got an alert today telling me I had to download the upgrade in order to continue. I dowbnloaded, was told the download and install were successful but not the App World icon is no where to be found.
Any ideas??

first of all make sure that u didn't enable restrictions.go to Settings>General>Restrictions. turn it off if it's on. then will get back itunes.
if u the matter is not about Restrictions, plz make sure u didn't put itunes in any folder.
If none of this u should restore ur iphone.

I have lost my iBooks and iTunes and iBooks does not load plus I cannot download anything from my app icon.does anyone know what the problem is.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Hello. Need some help. Somehow I lost the Camera icon and already did the following:
Restored Settings
Review restricted status (unblocked)
Double tab the Home button
And nothing :(

Hi Jazzyjaz,
First go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout
If that doesn't work:
Reset your device. Hold down the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time until the silver Apple appears on the screen (ignore the red slider bar if it appears).
If that doesn't make it show up, do a spotlight search - swipe to the right from the first Home screen, and type Camera in the search window - that will show you that it is there somewhere. Go through all of your home screen pages - it should show up on one of them (may have gotten moved accidently).
You can't actually delete it, so it is just a matter of finding out where it went!
