Growl has a long development history, is popular and performs a useful function. Many of your background applications use it send messages to your screen that tell you all kinds of useful things (if you're interested). Some applications ask you if you want them to install Growl for you - you or someone using your Mac may have answered 'yes' a long time ago, or it may have occurred without your permission. In any event, you might set it uyp and give it a try for a while, I think it will grow on you. If not, just remove it.

If you do not do such backups to any software you download, you are effectively throwing away your payment with a crash unless it just happens to be someone else has a link or copy they will share. You still need your S/N for the install.

Unfortunately, Adobe has quit support of earlier version. They have a version of AA9 Pro for Windows posted, but not for the MAC as I understand it. You can try Adobe Acrobat X (10) Pro, Reader, and Suite Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools, but again I can only find PC versions. Someone may drop by with a link or you might see if anyone locally has the CD (that you could get the install file from). You will still need to use your original S/N.

Did you set up virtual pads to assign the Simmons kit in layout mode? In layout, select the group controls tab in the screen control palette. Select the desired pad group(8, 12, or whatever) and drag it onto the layout area. Select a pad and press assign in the screen control inspector. Tap on a Simmons pad and it should be able to learn the pad assignment and note number. Repeat for the other pads. Hope it works for you.

Manning777 you should be able to download the software from the page you referenced. I would recommend trying a different web browser or perhaps checking the security settings on your browser.
