i lost my iphone 4s between my sociology class and my house. The battery is dead its ios 7 and i dont have another apple product or itunes on my computer to use the find my phone app is there any way i can still find ??? please help!!! also if stolen can I track it or burn the ipod from being used?? can I get any of my data off my phone if backed it up but on I cloud its saying on the site that i must be conected with ios 8 from being used or what ever or locate it once it turns back on

Disappointed userDid you not back up your MacBook Pro at all? You should have had a backup of the computer's hard drive to restore your new computer from. That machine backup would include your iPhone backup. Hard drives fail, all the time for any of many reasons and usually with no warning. That's why backups are essential, not optional.

FInd my iphone is not something that is installed. It is a built in feature that you would need to turn on from the iphone itself before it is lost. If you did this, then you may be able to go to icloud.com and get an approximate location.
Otherwise you cannot track it.
The find my iphone app that you can install is only used to find your other idevices from your iphone. It has nothing to do with finding the iphone on which it is installed. -

Having the imei won't help you find your phone.
If you setup and enabled find my phone prior to losing it then go to icloud.com
If you didn't set it up - then there nothing you can do.

The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS. -

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store.
