I lost my iPhone and cannot access the " find my iPhone" app. HELP!
Ok I was sitting in my couch last night, shoved the phone under the couch and left it there. It is the following night, I checked every couch cushion, AND NOTHING!!! I can't get the "Find my iPhone" app on my iTunes on a non-apple computer. I need help!!!!

Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on your iPhone in its settings? If so, go to www.icloud.com and use your Apple iCloud ID to use the Find My iPhone app.

I would like to know what is accessible on an iPad that has been stolen and Lost Mode has been enabled via the Find My iPhone App.

It is my understanding from these documents that if it is on and connected to the internet you can track it. In there it tells how tell if it is online by the color of the dot.

I still think this person is bluffing, but what confuses me is how this person knew how to contact you (?) You must not have had any security on it at all when lost.

If it were mine, I would erase it to make an expensive paperweight out of it and call it lessons learned - that is if at this point you still can, punch the button!
I can only go by what the Apple documents have told us, as your situation seems totally unique to any I have heard. -

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can) -
I have a new iphone and cannot delete the backup from icloud. It says that it is in use. I have read some of the other threads and it only seems to be haphazard solutions. Is there a definite way to fix this? I am not able to change icloud accounts.

I've tried everything: Power Down, Reboot, delete to uninstall and reinstall app, turn off in tray, etc.
Nothing works.I cannot see your screen shots for some reason, but here's a suggestion:
Open iTunes on your computer, look at your playlists there. Go to your "Voice Memos" playlist, delete all its contents, and then sync your iPhone to iTunes. -
My Imac is ejecting every disk inserted in it, I cannot access the disks, can any body help me troubleshoot the problem. I am using snow leopard.

If those don't help you can try a cleaning disc or a quick shot of compressed air. Chances are that your drive has failed, join the club it's not all that uncommon. You can either have it replaced or purchase an inexpensive external drive. Don't buy the cute little Apple USB Superdrive, it won't work on macs with internal drives working or not. -

The frist thing to try is a drive-n disk. They are cheap (US$5-15) and easy to use. Many unresponsive drives, even ones declared "dead" by an Apple tech, have returned to service after a cleaning.
Check with home entertainment specialty shops, electronic superstores and office supply outlets that sell computer accessories. -

A friendly reminder: In order to use Find My IPhone Successfully, you need to 1. Turn on Location Services, 2. Lock Location Services (Using Restrictions in Settings, General, Restrictions) so that if some one else finds your IPhone, they can NOT turn off Find My IPhone And/Or Location Services itself! 3. Add your Mobile Me and/Or ICloud Account to your IPhone. 4. Lock Accounts (Again in Restrictions) from being changed or Deleted so that your Mobile Me And/OR ICloud Account can NOT be Deleted! 5. Look Up the Location of your IPhone Before Suspending Service to the IPhone, NOT after Suspending Service (simple common since applies here as well).

I have lost my iphone,and did the same thing as you and activated the Find my iphone app unfortunately i haven't yet found or got it back,to reactivate your phone you will have to call apple support contact them to unblock your phone.

If it is not turned on and connected to the Internet it will not show up. If has been restored to factory condition it will not show up.

You can purchase Lion from the Mac App Store. You will need to meet the requirements for Lion, but the Mac App Store will tell you whether your Mac is capable of running Lion or not. -

Find My Phone REQUIRES an internet connection in order to work. Either WiFi or Cellular Data. So, if you turn off Cellular data, you're defeating Find My Phone.
