you've lost you're phone, you can report it stolen but i doubt they will find the person, or if you had insurance use that. there is like a 1% chance you will find it. &like someone else said, the theif cant use it if it had a passcode lock or without your apple id and password

You cannot track the phone if it is off. Hopefully you had find my iPhone on and a passcode. The phone will be useless to whomever stole it when he/she tries to erase it and activate it.

To be able to track the iPhone you need to have enabled Find My iPhone before you lost it. The phone needs to be powered on and connected to the Internet. With a computer or another device go to www.iCloud.com and log in with your Apple ID. You should be able to see the device on the map.
If the battery is dead, or the phone has been turned off, or someone found it and restored it, then you will not be able to locate it. -
Lost my iphone and located it on the map, using the find a phone app. The second I had the location the phone went offline. Apparently, whoever has it knows how to disable the find a phone feature. Do I have any alternatives? Can AT&T or the police track the phone?
ATT won't unless they are asked to do so by the police and unless a major crime is involved, the police won't request this just for a stolen phone.
If the iPhone is running iOS 6, sounds like you didn't have the passcode lock feature enabled. Nothing prevents someone from powering the iPhone off and the same for removing the SIM card. -

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

I changed my passcode for my iPod but I have forgotten what it is. I tried to restore my iPod through iTunes but it won't because the Find my iPod feature on iCloud is on. What should i do?!
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

when i heard they cant find my phone i was pretty mad. idk where i left it and with all the stuff this phone can do, they cant track where its at? then they tell me the only way would be with the mobileme thing from att, nice of them to tell me about it when i got the phone, if i knew that was the only way for me to track it i would have spent the extra 100 on it. in other words i am not pleased with apple or att in this situation.
Why should they find it for you? You lost it.. It's not their fault.
If you had any other type of phone you wouldn't even have the option of being able to track it so easily. But the service does need to be set up on the phone before you lose it.
MobileMe is an Apple service, not AT&T
It is advertised on the Apple site and mentioned in the iPhone manual.
You should be pretty mad at yourself for losing the phone, not Apple or AT&T. They're not responsible for your loss. -

I have lost my Iphone and never activated my Icloud on my phone. Is there anyway of locating it whereabouts??? Also Who ever has my phone has downloaded find my phone. Is there anyway Apple can find out the address that was downloaded from??
Unfortuantely, you can only track the phone if you had set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost or stolen. I don't believe there is anything that Apple can do to locate your phone either.

If you had find my iphone activated on the iphone BEFORE it was lost, then you may be able to track it. -

If there's a passcode on it(good for you!), then whoever stole it can only access your information if they can guess your passcode. However, they would likely get it disabled before guessing correctly, and be forced to Restore it. At that point, your information would be wiped off the device.
And Apple can do nothing to help you, unfortunately. If you did, however, set up "Find My iPhone" before you lost it, then you can track the device. If not, then sorry - you're probably not getting your iPhone back.
