I lost my ipod touch 4th generation at a party on saturday and I never went or registered for icloud and now I don't know how to track it down please helpp me!!!

If you didn't enable Find my iPod touch, you won't be able to track it with iCloud. The article below provides more details and some suggestions that I hope will be helpful.

If you did not enable Find My iPhone on your missing device
If you did not enable Find My iPhone before it was lost or stolen, you can't use it to locate or protect your device, but you can still follow these steps:
Change your iCloud password to ensure that no one else can use your device to delete or make changes to your iCloud data.
Report your lost or stolen device to local law enforcement and your wireless carrier. Apple doesn't track or flag lost or stolen products, but you can use My Support Profile (supportprofile.apple.com) to find a list of serial numbers for products that you've purchased or registered with your Apple ID.

So, the article you have there, HT4895, is pretty good. Just look at the FAQ section of it.
But basically, you will want to create a backup on your computer through iTunes...Just plug your current iPad into it and make sure your iPad and iTunes are logged in with the same Apple ID. At that point, just create a backup.
When you get your new iPad, and before you plug it in or set it up, follow the directions in this link to change your Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621?viewlocale=en_US
Once you have that done, plug your new iPad into your computer to sync up with iTunes. Follow the directions for Restore from Backup and it should bring all that info back to your new iPad.
And changing your Apple ID email info will allow you to have your own!!! This should solve all your issues and GL!!! -

You can usually find the wi-fi password on your router itself if you know the router's ID and password (not the wi-fi password). You can log into your router by putting its address (usually 192.168.1.1) into your browser's address window.

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

on my macbook pro the hard drive icon is not on my desktop and I don't know how to find the hard drive or get the icon back on my desktop
Click on the Desktop. From the Finder menu select Preferences. Check the boxes for what you want on your Desktop. If they are already checked, then try unchecking and rechecking.

Hi, I've checked how to use Kannada keyboard in Yosemite. But, there are some 'vattu forms' and other grammar in Kannada language that I don't know how to use it. I know how to change between the keyboards and can also view keyboard. However, For eg, 'Preetiya taatanige nimma muddu mommagalu maduva namaskara' How to write this? Thanks in advance for your reply.In general, you need to use the "f" (kannada qwerty keyboard) or "d" key (kannada) between letters to make special forms. Also you may need to adjust the typography settings of the font, which is done by doing Format > Font > Show Fonts > Gear Wheel > Typography as shown below. If you can provide screenshots or more detailed info on things you cannot make, I can perhaps help.
It is important to note that MS Word for Mac does not support Indic scripts -- any other app should work OK. -
hi, i downloaded call of duty black ops on my iMac, and i had in app purchases, and it asked me if i wanted to restore them, but an error occured and I had to click cancel, now I don't know how to restore the in app purchases, does anyone know?

You can remove the Airplay password from the Settings menu on your AppleTV.

Assign a different ringtone for a contact: In Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap Ringtone and choose a ringtone.
If you cannot find the ringtone you are trying to assign to your contact, you may need to contact iTunes Store direcly with the reciept for the purchase.

You can easily get the serial number. Having it will not help you track it.

You have to use the right arrow on the remote to navigate all the way and highlight the submit button.

I need to find a way to make sure I'm backed up by icloud or itunes before it's reset.
For iTunes backup go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look at the date of the late backup.
For iCloud backup you have to have another iOS device signed int iCloud and then go to Settings>iCloud>Backup and look.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
Disabled Recovery-must use syncing computer.
