I lost my ipod what can I do?

lost/stolen
No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
iCloud: Erase your device
iCloud: Use Lost Mode
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
      1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad

      3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.

  • I lost my iphone 4, what can i do?

I Went to ganestop, got my games and when i head out, i put the games and phone on top of the car while i open my car. When i opened my car i took the games and left the iphone on top of the car. I think that it fell while i was driving. Can't find it. i Had it only for a week... Need help! What can i do
i someone can track it with a software or something. The number is 717-668-7071

The only way to locate your lost iPhone is through Find My Phone. However, this requires that such be activated/turned on, on your phone before it was lost. Your phone must also be turned on & connected to the internet for Find My Phone to work. You would then login to iCloud.com & tap on "Find My Phone". Apple cannot help you, nor will your carrier help you without a court order. Report the loss to the police, your carrier & insurance company. Change all of your passwords.

  • HT5163 i lost my sim tray what can i do

I have lost my sim card tray what can i do?

You will most likely have to buy either a used or generic one on ebay. Trying checking with the nearest apple store first to see if they have any 3gs sim card trays (call it's not worth the drive), as they might be willing to sell you one.

  • HT1349 my icloud and itune are not syn icloud is asking me for a different users name and password than itune i am lost and loosing info what can i do to syn itune and icloud .

what can i do to syn my icloud and itune to one account?. In which i would only need one username and password.
When i had setup icloud before i had to use a different email and password and now i can not retrieve nor update
my account, it keeps telling me that my username and password is incorrect.

Sign in with the correct user name and password for the iCloud account.
This has nothing to do with them being "in sync".
iCloud and iTunes accounts, which are simply Apple ID's, cannot be merged.  There is no way to merge Apple ID's.  If you chose to set up the device using one Apple ID for iTunes and another for iCloud, then that's the way it is.
Alternatively, you could sign into iCloud with the same ID that is used for iTunes.  Whether this creates problems or not depends on how you currently have iCloud set up.

  • I got update iphoto on my Mac version 10.6.8 but after I downloaded iphoto11 I lost all my pictures what can I do to get my photos back to my empty library

    Hello Community
I'm Beverly from Jackson and I need help to restore my photos back to my Library.  Right now my library appears as if I just purchased my MAC and I have old version 10.6.8.
    Thanks to anyone to respond.

Where did you download iPhtoo '11 from? What exactly did you do?
If you have OS X 10.6.8 as you report twice there is no download to upgrade to iPhoto '11 - the only what to upgrade to iPHoto '11 with your stated system is by purchasing an iLife '11 DVD

  • I updated my iPod to ios 5.1.1 and lost all my photos, what can i do to get them back?

I updated my Ipod to ios 5.1.1 I figured all my photos would still be there since I backed it up and had photo stream on but they're no where to be found.  Is there any way I can get them back?

Photo Stream has only the recent shots in Camera Roll.
If you didn't backup with the appropriate software then it's gone.

  • TS3212 I just finished downloading iTunes, but when I clicked "Run" Windows indicated that it was not a valid WIN application and I lost the download. What can I do?

I've been having a lot of trouble with iTunes lately. When I would sync my iPod to iTunes, many of the most recent songs I had downloaded would be removed from my playlists and their respective play counts wouldn't be updated. I had thought that updating iTunes would fix my problems, but each time I tried to download the update, nothing would happen. The dialog box that gives you the option to open or run the program would not appear. Finally, after referring to the Apple Support Community, I was able to find a link to download iTunes that allowed me to do so. But when the download was complete and I attempted to run the program, a Windows error occurred that indicated iTunes was not a valid WIN application. It gave me no other option but to click "OK" and when I did, I lost the entire download. I hope that there is a way to fix this problem.
    Thanks for reading.

Let's try the following document with that one:

  • I have songs on my new iMac that say I'm not authorized to play them. It gives me an old email address for which I have lost the password. What can I do to play my songs?

I am not able to play some songs on the iMac I purchased last July. They have to be authorized using an old email address and password. I no
longer have the password. How can I authorize the songs?

Click here and use Apple's iForgot service. If that doesn't work, contact the iTunes Store staff.
