If you forgot the passcode for yur encrypted backup you are out of luch. You will have to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod if you want to restore from backup in the future.
Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password, you can continue to back up and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore, choose set up as a new device.

I used to have an iphone 3gs. I traded it in for a galaxy. The lady at the att store said if I had icloud, we could get the pictures from our pc/online. However when I go to icloud there is no photo link for me to see if they are on there. This happened back in the spring. I just got an email from icloud saying my storage with them was almost full. I don't see any information not to mention added info that would make this so. Is there something I am missing? How do I get to the backed up info. Can I get to it from my pc since I no longer have that phone anymore? Are my pics lost forever???

The only thing you could access on your PC would be photo stream photos from the last 30 days (older ones are no longer in iCloud). If you have any, and if you are running Vista SP2 or higher, you can set up iCloud on your PC and enable photo stream to download the photos, as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.
You can't download your iCloud backup to your PC. You can only recover camera roll photos included in the backup by restoring the backup to another iPhone. If you have a backup on your computer, you can use 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor to extract the photos from the backup. (You can check to see if you have a backup on your computer by opening iTunes, going to Preferences>Devices and looking at the Backups list.

1. In case you have access to BUI 7120 as root but lost password to ILOM.
      Try change password on ZFS stroage via BUI interface. Genaraly ZFS Appliance synchronize BUI and ILOM passwords.
2. In case You have ILOM password but lost password to BUI.
      Read doc "Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System: How to Recover from a Lost Root Password (Doc ID 1547912.1)" on support.oracle.com.
3. You lost all passwords.

But it nothing usefull for genereal user.
Array 7120 based on server: Sun Fire X4270 M2 you can try find information about clear ILOM password for this system.

ok turn it off manually and turn it back on while holding the apple logo bottor or the function botton this will give you an option to choose if you want to startup with osx ow windows. let me know if this works

If you have failed to sync you contacts then they are likely gone.
