That is what I am trying to work through. I understand you are seeing it in Notifications, that was what I was trying to confirm. When you open the message, what is displaying on the phone, Juan? Is Notification the only place that you are seeing this name differently? And yes, if you have the name saved as John, it should display as John. How are you backing up/syncing your contacts? Are you using a supported application on the computer, or are you using a cloud service, such as iCloud? If you go into your contacts and look in the upper left corner of the application, does it list more than one source for your contacts? Do you have more than one person with the same phone number listed in contacts, similar to having two people that work at the same place? Is the Notification only displaying a first name and no last name? Do you have first names only in your contacts?

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

I could not remember my apple ID password so I made a request for a new one. When I received the email with the link on resetting my password it was addressed to John Ohare. My name is not John Ohare. Does this mean someone has hacked my iCloud account?

If you suspect unauthorized access to your apple ID I would normally recommend resetting your password, but you have already done this.

I have a question regarding Icloud and unlinking an Icloud account from a device such as an iphone. If the iphone device is removed from the Find my Iphone app in Icloud, does this mean that it is unlinked/removed from the account after the account is removed manually in the icloud settings of the phone? Or in the case of resetting the phone will it become icloud locked still? You can, but I would wait, until you have have been working with Photos for some time and are sure, that everything migrated well. There may be hidden flaws in your library and teething problems with Photos. Don't be in a hurry to abandon iPhoto completely. You may need to go back, until bugs have been fixed. Th Photos Library does not duplicate the photos in your iPhoto Library. the media files are shared and do not need extra space: See: Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support

If you have enough iCloud storage. But Photos will still need space for local thumbnails on all devices.

I have removed photostream from my Iphone 4...Does this mean the photos are also removed from other devices?
The iPhone has a closed file system and you would not be able to download files to it. There have also not been any identified virus/malware that can successfully get into the iPhone. You should be fine.

It means that someone else is sharing your network.
How are you connecting? Do you have a wireless router and/or modem? You need to enable encryption (a password) for your network. -

I am useless with technology and desperately need help! When trying to re-install itunes i get error HRRESULT:0x8007054F what does this mean? I have followed step by step guide to de-install then re-install itunes as instructed when i couldnt connect my new ipad to my computer to synchronise it with my exisiting itunes account initially set up with my ipod. I successfully re-nstalled itunes but it wouldnt open and told me to de-install and re-install again. This has repeated several times and now i get this error message. I dont know what to do next?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 8007054F, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)
