I lost my phone. How can I activate my old phone?
I just lost my phone 2 days ago. It was a Samsung Convoy. The last time I broke my phone and had to switch to my old Nokia it was very easy. For some reason this time I keep running into dead ends on the website and countless ads for the backup service. Basically I am just looking for the spot where I can type in the id number for the phone to have it activate but I cannot find it. I also dialed the *228 on my nokia and it said it was programming for a couple minutes then said programming failed. Any suggestions on what to do now would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Good afternoon and thank you all for your suggestions. wadata, I'm sorry to hear you lost your phone but I have provided the steps for you to be able to activate or switch devices directly on My Verizon.
From My Verizon go under I want to… Device and select Activate or Switch Device.
Select your mobile number and device and select Next.
Select Next again.
Read and Accept the Terms and Conditions.
In the following screen you will be prompted to add the New Device ID and then Submit.

Lost Apple ID,how can I activate my iPhone ?
A friend of mine knows nothing about apple devices,she has no Apple ID and doen't know the ID is important for an apple user.
she bought an iphone5 last year.the seller activated her new phone with the seller's Apple ID,and help my friend to jail break.
couple days ago,she updated her iphone to IOS7.1.1,but can't activate it because she never know there is an Apple ID in her iphone.
so she asked me for help,we went to the shop to look for the seller who selled her iphone,but he was resigned for long,no one know where he went.

How can I activate my old iPod classic?
I thought that my iPod classic had been stolen a while ago and eventually went out and bought a new one. Now, I have found the old one - it had slid down behind a rather large piece of furniture in my house and needless to say, I'm thrilled to find it. I want to give it to my daughter.
But when I try to activate it by plugging it into my MacBook Pro, iTunes doesn't seem to recognise it. What can I do about this? Also, I am not sure if I have the registration number anymore. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you,
Paddy O'DeaThere is no need to activate old iPod, it just need to be recharged, if the battery is still in working condition.
Try this, it wont delete any music in your iPod, the critical step is charging the battery.
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours) ( for the first 30 minutes, there wont be any sign of life on the iPod screen)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

How can I activate an old Itunes account?
I have purchased tunes years ago with a prior account which I now need to authorize. Trouble is the email address I used for this account no longer exists and I have no idea what the password is or any of the security questions. Is their anything I can do to retrieve these tunes. I bought about 100 using this account but now cannot play them.

How can I activate an old version of Adobe Encore (1.5)?
I am trying to re-install my purchased version of Adobe Encore 1.5. I realize this program is several years old and no longer supported, however, it still suits my needs and I would like to continue using my purchase. Since the activation site is no longer available, I am unable to authorize it after install. Is there a fix for this? I've contacted Adobe support via chat and was told that chat/phone support will not address this issue since they no longer support the program.

I swapped my iphone from apple store india and my imei of iphone changed and i have lost the box and bill of phone , how can i get my old imei number.
Of course it changed. A phone's IMEI number is unique to each phone. The IMEI number for a phone does not transfer to another phone.
Since your iPhone was exchanged under warranty without having the box and bill for the original purchase, you don't need it now either. The exchange under warranty remains under the warranty for the original purchase. -

Everything should be on your computer.
You should be syncing contacts and calendars with your comptuer regularly.
You should be transferring all itunes purchases to your computer regularly.
You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly.
Most especially before any update.

Most likely your phone is carrier locked to a different carrier than the SIM card you're using. It will activate and operate only with the carrier to which it's locked.

Unfortunately, you can't. There's no way around it. You'll have to get the ID and password used to originally activate the phone or you will not be able to activate it again. If you can't contact them, try to get your money back because you won't be able to use it.

how old is the phone? was this the first time you are putting your sim in the iphone? if it is it might be locked to a previous carrier...if not, try to do a restore again and see if it picks up the sim card after. do the restore while the sim card is intact, and then not intact. otherwise, you'll might have to take it to an apple store to get it looked at.
