I lost my pictures and didn't back them up how can i get them back

So when i was trying to put my pictures on my hard drive i was very nervous because they were very important so i put another copy of them inside again (i had to copies in the hard drive). Then a question popped up and it said did i want to replace it, keep both, or quit. so i accidentally picked replace it so when i did that and so i went back to file with the pictures and they were GONE !!!!!!!!! Can someone please help me i really really need those pictures back

Can't tell what Mac you have but if you have Time Machine enabled AND copies on your hard drive, you should be able to recover them from there.
I'm no expert on iPhoto but I also believe there is an iPhoto manager system that allows you to rebuild your collection.   I'm sure someone will soon pop up with a more detailed answer to that suggestion.
