i lost my safari browser how do i get it back?
I was reverted to firefox and my safari is no longer in my dock...it just disapaered about a week ago off both my dock and my screen...?

Two issues: 1st: I want to know how to take a snapshot of something on my desktop.
2nd: In trying to remember how to take a snapshot I was just pushing buttons, willy-nilly, and somehow deleted my "back" button in Safari. How do I get that back?

It's not on my keyboard (that I know of). It's an arrow on the bar at the top of my safari screen. I'm supposed to be able to click the arrow to either go back to the previous page or go forward to the next page. But I deleted it somehow. And now I don't know how to get it back. I found a solution in someone else's post: Safari, View, Customize Tool Bar. I tried to do that but it doesn't work for me. I dragged the back arrows to my tool bar but they won't stay up there. What do I do now?

This was the scenario:
The first time I updated, it was only my music that was lost.
When I got my music back, I lost my apps.
When I got my apps back, my contacts, notes and photos were lost.
Now I got back everything except for my photos.
(Yes, I restored from backup several times since the first update.)
Do you think if I try restoring from back up, my photos that were taken from my ipod will be restored finally?

Mac OS X 10.6 includes QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6.3. The QuickTime 7 player will only be present if a QuickTime Pro key was present at the time of installation, or if specified as part of a custom install, or individually downloaded:

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
(Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".)

Why did you restore without transferring your music to your computer?

You calendar info should also be mirrored on your computer. Use the option to replace all events on the iPod with the info on your computer during the next sync. You can find this option in the info pane, Advanced section.

Generally speaking, your bookmarks are private to your computer, and if you set up multiple Firefox profiles on your computer, to the one profile.
Your bookmarks might be available to you at another location if you used the Sync service. If you didn't use Sync or can't access your account, someone with access to your old computer could email you your bookmarks. I going to assume you use a mac,
connect to your computer,
open itunes,
go to the iphone page,
info tab
untick sync calendars, sync the iphone,
then tick the sync calendars again,
sync,
that should restore it.

All of your apps should be in iTunes on the computer, simply sync them back.
If they are not, go into the purchase history and download them again.

Use iCloud to automatically backup your device, usually once every 24 hours.
