I lost my server connection to Yahoo mail??

I have lost the server connection on my phone  All setting look ok and I can still get emails on my laptop.

    Hello nan126,
Here I am to save the day! I can help with your emails on your iPhone 5c. May I ask are you able to browse the web on the iPhone without any issues? If so then what type of email are you using? For example, is it your work, personal, or school email? We also need to verify if it's a POP3, IMAP, or Exchange Server email. Are you using Microsoft Outlook on yout laptop to get emails? As you share the details then we can assist.
Thank you…

It sounds as though a script on the site, or an advertisement, is not working quite right...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove the site's cookies using either of these. Save any pending work first.
While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • Help! Kids can't connect to Yahoo mail (interenet) in their user account

When my kids try to connect to Yahoo mail via intenet, they get a message "Can't connect to the server" or something like that. I can connect through the admin account. They dodn't have any trouble accessing their Google emails. I have parental controls set up but did not restrict email. Any idea's anyone?

Have you tried to take off the parental control just to eliminate that possibility??
If the yahoo email account page opens up then you know the problem lies in the security settings that you have applied...

  • Can not connect to yahoo mail

Why does my MacBook keep showing a message 'can not connect to yahoo mail', and I have to confirm my password. Then it goes right in. Keeps happening multiple times.

It's a Mac Mail problem. Just read all the threads on all the different problems people have with Apple Mac Mail.

  • My iPhone 4S says it cannot access the server to my yahoo mail account

My iPhone 4S says it cannot. Access the server to my yahoo mail account, although it did until 2days ago

Only by the use of third-party software, like this:
    http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
There is no supported way to do so. Be aware, photos synced to your phone were reduced in resolution for display on your phone. There is no way to recover their full resolution.
You should be backing up your Mac. If you did so, you wouldn't be facing this issue.

  • IPod Touch 4 with iOS5 not connecting to Yahoo Mail

After downloading iOS5 on my iPod Touch 4 I could not connect to my Yahoo Mail.
Read many suggestions and called Apple tech support. The tech tried to access Yahoo Mail and he had the same problem I did.
BUT... I fixed it on my own by process of elmination.
    Go to...
    Settings
    Safari
Turn off Private Browsing ( this might be all you need to do)
    then...
    Scroll down to Advanced
Turn on Debug Console ( I'm not sure this step is necessary)
Change your Yahoo email password on your Mac or PC
    Restart your iPod Touch
Try logging into yahoo mail from yahoo.com using your new password.
I think turning private browsing was the problem and I think it was added in iOS5.
I hope this saves all of you some aggravation. I spent 2 days trying to  fix.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

  • Can't connect to YAHOO mail to sync calenar and address book

Did anyone try this features? My attempt to connect was honored by recognizing Yahoo mail.
    Thanks for commenting.
    Al.

Calendar and contacts can only by synced through iTunes. What you might be able to do, assuming you have one of the programs your iTunes recognizes for syncing (Outlook 2003, Windows Address Book . . .), is to export your schedule and your contacts from Yahoo. Save them to your hard drive. Import them into the program iTunes allows you to sync with, then sync. Doing this every few weeks would be fine for your contacts, but it would quickly grow tiresome for syncing daily appointments.

  • Problem connecting with yahoo mail

    Hi,
I am using N97 mini and I tried to setup my Yahoo Mail using the email setup tool. I can confirm that I supplied the correct username and password but still, it keeps on asking the username / password even if I enter it a number of times already. I tried using username with and without @yahoo.mail but I get the same resutls.
Note that I was successful in setting up my mail in the office (IMAP4).
    Help please. thanks.

Yep, I've got the same problem with my N97. I can't access Yahoo (especially IM) via the Nokia chat app or other programs. Email and Web browsing work fine and I've quadruple-checked I've entered my username and password right. I  used to use a different program to access IM (possibly IM+, I'm not sure since it was a while ago) and later uninstalled it. Now I'm wondering if I still have some leftover stuff from the old program that's somehow blocking me from logging into IM--cookies or something similar? But it's odd that everything else works fine but Yahoo doesn't.

  • Setting the server connection timeout, Mac Mail

I have several POP accounts setup through Mac Mail and lately I've been running into problems where I can't send messages because of "two many simultaneous connections". I was told by my email host that it is likely caused by my email client maintaining an open connection with the server or idling, etc... I don't fully understand what they are referring to as I can't seem to locate any settings that pertain to this.
A brief search shows this could be relevant to an IMAP account, but that is not how I configured them. Does anyone have any experience modifying how Mac Mail connects to the email servers, and closes the connection after send / receive is complete?
    Thanks
    Stephen

Mail sent via att.net comes through as "via Yahoo" when I send something to Gmail, so I assume it's the case in California.
I looked at all the headers.  Gmail is not involved nor would I expect it to be, at least when I send something.
I got my info here:  ...
Hmmm.  Looks like my yahoo servers still work but sometime in the last three years AT&T changed their server names to the ones on that page.  I just changed my server settings in Eudora (and also mail.app) to inbound.att.net and outbound.att.net and they work too.  I guess I'll leave them to those "new" (new to me) servers.
And by the way, outbound.att.net doesn't support SSL, or at least seems not to since Mail bottoms out with the eternally spinning wheel whenever I check that option.
Actually it does.  Note I said above all I changed was the servers, not any port, ssl, or authorization info.  And it works as expected.  So that's why you saw the rotating cursor, it was hanging when shaking hands with the server.
If you look at table on that AT&T page, last two rows (incoming/outgoing port #) is shows the info I listed previously, i.e., ports and ssl.
Anyway, thanks for making me aware of the server (change -- change from my point of view anyway).

  • Error message about connecting to Yahoo mail

Can some one please help me with this?
    I keep getting a pop-up message:
"The POP server “pop.mail.yahoo.com” rejected the password for user “bela_kerkay”
Please re-enter your password, or cancel."
It was working for several weeks without a hitch and now this message keeps coming up. More frequently as time goes on. Now it's popping up at about 30 seconds apart. It's really annoying.
And when I type in my password, it disappears and then 30 seconds later "pop" there it is again. Typing my password in doesn't seem to help.
    Any ideas?

The Yahoo server seems to be working fine because
when I access my email account through Yahoo it works
fine, so I don't think it's a problem with the Yahoo
    server.
I wouldn't necessarily make that assumption -- web mail and pop mail probably work off different servers, so one could be down (or functioning incorrectly) while the other is not.
That said, if it's been happening for several days, you probably either have a setting incorrect (unlikely if it was working at some point and you didn't change anything) or there's something strange going on at the Yahoo end. I'm assuming that you're not having any other networking problems, is that correct? I'd probably contact Yahoo tech support.
