I lost my url address navigation bar in safari

I've lost my URL navigation tool bar and can't navigate from web page to web page. Anyone experience this that can help me resolve this issue

To recover the navigation bar, open Safari and go to View menu (on the menu bar) > Show Toolbar)

To prevent some wrong operation executed by users like selecting "Back" button and "forward" button of Web browser (IE or FireFox), we would like to hide "Standard buttons". To prevent also any URL modification, we would like to hide the "address/navigation bar" and if possible the "menu bar (File/Edit/view/Favorites)"

I can assist with two out of 3 requests. However your request are really IE / FIREFOX rather than ITS/SAP
First read the following WIKI in relation to:

The following has nothing to do with the Browser buttons - but helps in restricting the access of the ESS services accessed via the ITS

RE URL's
Rather than hiding the bar - could use a Reverse Proxy. The SAP WEB Dispatcher can be used for this function.

In order to secure your SAP system you can put an SAP Webdispatcher (or application gateway like a reverse proxy) in the outer DMZ, which filters the incoming requests and forwards them to the corresponding application servers.

Providing locale specific URL for navigation bar entry

Hi,
I am using APEX 3.0 on 10gR2 and 9.0.4 app server... I have successfully translated my application, with the exception of navigation bar entry URLs...
The XLIFF export does not contain entries for the navbar entry URLs, only the labels. I have locale specific URLs for navbar entries (ie french URL, english URL)
I can't seem to find any information on how to accomplish this... other than removing the navbar, and hard-coding them in the page template...

as a workaround. The export will probably never work, because a URL isn't normally considered as language dependent.
Have you already tried to write the different URLs into application items (which you initialize during login of the user) and reference them in the URL with &YOUR_APPLICATION_ITEM.Patrick

On opening, the browser comes up with not an address navigation bar, but with only two google search windows. How can I make it open with an actual address line?

It's all been said in the question.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

I can not type inn address in the navigation bar

When trying to type anything in the address/navigation bar, firefox hang.

So you can't even the location bar in a new unmodified profile without copying any files to it?
Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Mavericks After Upgrading to 10.9.2 the font size in the address/seach bar has changed to be small.

After upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.2 the text in the address/seach bar on Safari is a lot smaller. This is not a screen resolution issue. The fonts in Finder are larger than they were before anoying fix for this would also be nice. It is also not a screen resolution issue.
I really do not know what Apple are doing with quality control with Mavericks. The 3 month GMAIL problems have not been fixed with this upgrade and you also have a lot of font size changes accross you whole machine, within mail, finder and safari.
Any help appreciated.

Mavericks reminds me of all the old problems I had with Windows before I moved to Mac. Prior to Mavericks upgrades would not change screen resolutions, Font sizes etc. The GMAIL issue has not been fixed.
It is inconceivable to me that you could release this product which does not support basic mail functionality for one of the largest email services on the internet ie. GMAIL and then take 3-4 months and still not fixed with the 10.9.2 upgrade. What are you guys doing. The loss of productivity for people is beyond comprehension.
Can we please get a fix for GMAIL in Mavericks that actually works.

THIS is very disturbing news from WD.

When I open another Tab and type in a website address, after the site loads the URL in the navigation bar disappears. Why?

When I open a new tab and type in the website url, after the website loads the website url disappears. In order for me to get it to come back, I have to right click on the navigation bar and click undo. why is this?

Did this happen immediately after the reset or at a later time?
Does this only happen on a new tab?
What is the current setting for the new tab page as set via the browser.newtab.url pref?

I just upgraded from vista to windows 7 and now when i try to type in a url address in the navigation bar nothing but gibberish appears

whatever letter i type into the navigation bar, some other letter or number appears. i do not have this problem on chrome or internet explorer.

go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working. If this doesn't work then try this

URLs not showing up in Navigation Bar

I've upgraded to Firefox 4 a few weeks ago and just recently the Navigation bar started to not work properly. I can type in a URL and it will work but whenever I click on a link the new URL does not show up in the nav bard. When I right click an image and ask to see the Image URL, it won't show up...just the basic web address. When I open a new tab, the address in the nav bar is from the last website I visited and will not update to any new website I visit. It's really weird. This just started a few days ago. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Open url from top navigation bar in work area

Hi.
I added in top navigation bar one link (component CRMCMP_HDR_STD, view MESSAGE). How i would like to show content of that url in workarea of web ui window.
I know that I can call url with href, but the problem is that this url content is then shown in that top navigation bar which is very small. I also know how to show that content in new window.
But as I said Iwant to show it in workarea window. Like for example if you click on Personalization link in navigation bar.
I checked how this Personalization call works in standard but it is somewhove hardcoded.
Any ideas? Help will be appreciated.

I would have even bettter requirement. I developed Z component. And I want to call this Z component from navigation bar link (component CRMCMP_HDR_STD, view MESSAGE).
But as I said, I don't want to open that Z compoennt instead of CRMCMP_HDR_STD component in top bar, but in workarea. The requirement is similar as when you would click on any option in left navigation bar, which then opens component in workarea. But I don't want to launch my Z component from left navigation bar (which I know how to use), but from top navigation bar.
Help appreciated.

Try the Firefox SafeMode.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Suddenly, my custom url buttons disappeared from the navigation bar and I can no longer add new ones. FF22

I am using Firefox 22 (I like its features and do not want the features added in later version.) I have added a handful of custom URL buttons to the navigation bar that allow me to go instantly to websites I visit frequently. There was/is a function in Firefox for adding such buttons. This morning, after leaving my computer on all night, I found that the custom buttons had disappeared and I could no longer find the function for adding new ones. Can you tell me what has happened and how I can add custom URL buttons? I will appreciate your help. Thank you.

I solved my own problem. This function was added by Google Shortcuts, which somehow became disabled. After fussing ariound for a few minutes. I was able to restore it.
