I lost my voice mail notification.  My internal voicemail is working fine but I have to Manuel check for new voicemails.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Good luck!

  • How do i re-establish voice mail

I have lost my voice mail.  When I hit the buttom I get an error message.  Any ideas on how to reconnect?

call your carrier and have them reset your voicemail.

  • Upgraded to ios 5, now my voice mail is asking for a password or code to unlock to get voice mail. Didn't have a passcode before upgrade, so how do I reset the passcode?

upgraded to ios 5, now my voice mail is asking for a password or code to unlock to get voice mail. Didn't have a passcode before upgrade, so how do I reset the passcode?

So now I went back to the screen that orginally asked me for my Apple ID and passort, and instead of entering my Apple ID i entered the email address associated with it and the new password.  It now tells me "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons.  To enable your account, reset your passwort at iforgot.apple.com"
I have now changed my password twice and it still doesn't work.
Until I get this resolved my tablet is useless.

as ar as I know, voicemails aren't stored on your iPhone, your carrier saves them.

  • New UM Cert only half works? Lost voice mail, kept Auto Attendant

We have a Lync 2013 environment with a collocated front end/mediation server using Exchange 2010 for UM services (voice mail and auto attendant to pick up and transfer by extension) Today our UM cert expired so I replaced it with a new one from a new internal
CA we brought up. Exchange accepted the cert (its valid for use) and applied the UM service to it with no problems. After restarting the UM service and testing I have noticed that we have lost voice mail since the switch.
In the past whenever we had a problem with the UM cert or UM in general we have lost access to BOTH voice mail and our auto attendant so this is weird to me. I noticed I am getting my missed call notifications in outlook, but no voicemail (and not being
prompted to leave one as the calling party either).
Event viewer isn't showing much for errors. Here is one that sounds related, but it doesn't appear every time I try to make a test call to voice mail.
The Unified Messaging server encountered an error while trying to process the message with header file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\UnifiedMessaging\voicemail\12635b29-9d7f-4e2f-a274-e80a4c4bc04c.txt". Error details: "Microsoft.Exchange.UM.UMCore.SmtpSubmissionException:

    Hi,
Please go to the voicemail folder under \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\UnifiedMessaging\ to check if the folder is empty.
Please check the sentence below in the link:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/kamehta/archive/2010/12/20/um-2010-voicemail-delivery-failure-to-hub-transport.aspx
“If the folder is empty, then the voicemail files have left the UM and on its way to Hub Transport.
If you see voicemail audio files there it means the connection between UM and HT is broken somewhere. This can arise because of one of the following scenarios.
The HT receive connector is mis-configured. Check the AUTH on the receive connectors
Verify if you can telnet on hub transport's IP and port number 25
Verify if HT FQDN is resolving to the correct IP
Check if any anti-virus software is installed”

  • Iphone 5s phone and voice mail issues

phone app keeps freezing and the voicemails i receive cannot be listened to as the play button is greyed out.  I have just started this in the last week for no obvious reason.
I turn it off and on and I am on the latest software.  It is a real pain as I have work calls coming through to this phone and I can't hear the message without dialling into my voicemail manually a la 1990.
Apart from reinstalling the phone software any suggestions?  I have deleted all my old voicemails and deleted voicemail in case that helped but no change.

"Apart from re installing the phone software any suggestions?"
The guy asked this. When it comes to voice mail the only way to re-install the software is to do a restore.
Now this is where you maybe getting lost.
"If you're not wanting to do a restore try doing a two button reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button (power button) at the same time until the phone shuts off"
Now I am being smart and I'm done arguing with you on here.
I am right in what I was trying to get across.

  • Fast busy, esp when accessing Voice Mail on FiOS Digital Voice

When we have new messages and call into voice mail and enter passcode, the voicemail guy starts talking and all of the sudden we get the dreaded fast busy.  So then we have to hang up and try again, then get the old "I'm sorry, that account is in use".  So then we have to wait about ten minutes and try again, and this is getting very frustrating.  I called in a trouble ticket for it and nobody seems to have a clue.  In fact, while I was on the phone with tech support I got the fast busy about ten minutes into the call and didn't receive a call back, so I had to call it in all over again!  We just got FiOS back in May.  Before that we had T-Mobile @Home for our home phone, and it was rock solid and trouble-free!  So I expected a fiber optic Verizon home phone to be at least as reliable as a Linksys router with a T-Mobile SIM card in it - but boy was I wrong!  And now that TMO has stopped selling @Home I can't switch back.  Also, the Verizon voicemail is very frustrating to begin with.  The TMO voicemail system lets you listen to your message, then press 7 to delete it after you've heard it.  The VZ voicemail forces you to press 3 to delete the message while it's still playing. Otherwise, after all your messages are done playing, you have to go back and play them over again, deleting them while they are still playing.  I just cannot figure out whey they would design a voicemail system so cumbersome and frustrating.  Not to mention, TMO gave you the option of bypassing the password security when accessing from your home phone.  VZ makes you put the password in every time.  Help!  I'm sure there is someone on these boards that is way smarter than anyone I can get on the phone.  Thanks!

We have been getting the exact same thing for almost a year now... since switching to FiOS Digital Voice in May of last year!  Every time I call in to report it they 'escalate' the issue but it never gets resolved.  The problem seems to be in the initial connection.  Most of the time it works fine but, several times a month, after I call to get messages and it starts to play the new message it goes dead and I get the busy signal.  I get the same message when I call back:  “I’m sorry – that account is in use at this time.  Please try again later!”  I have even called in with my cell phone and get the same message!  I HAVE EVEN used the Internet to see if I could get my messages and, when I hit Play, I get a pop-up saying: “Your Voice Mail box is currently in being accessed; please try again later.  If the problem continues, please contact our Customer Support Center at 1-888-553-1555. We apologize for any inconvenience.”  This is obviously a software bug that Verizon has no clue on how to troubleshoot OR fix!!!  I wonder how many people have the problem and just don’t bother reporting it because of the hassle?  When it first started happening they destroyed my entire mailbox and I had to re-enter the complete mailbox setup again – 3 times!!!  NEVER let them talk you into that!!!  It’s their problem and they need to fix it!!!!!!!  I wish I could go back to the ‘normal’ voicemail we originally had… they want hundred$ to switch back because I’d be breaking my #$@%^&* contract!  Good luck if you have Verizon………

  • I am having multiple problems with my iphone 4s, people can't hear me when I call, text messages don't always send, calls go straight to voice mail. I have all bars, have hard rest 3 times. I have called apple 4 times and gone to a store. No help.

I have had the 3g, 3gs, 4 and little if any problems. I made a major mistake buying the 4s. What a horrible phone. I must say, apple service is at best, BAD. Here are the basics. I am on the same network, I call the same people, I use the same text messages as I did with the 4. With the 4s, I will call someone and they will not be able to hear me. I have to hang up and recall. Or the phone just does nothing when I press call. Text messages acts like they send but when I go back the have been sent. Sometimes the calls go direct to voice mail.
Here's what I have done. Reset, did not help. Called apple, advisor said she would call me back in 5 minutes, after waiting for 5 days for the call, I recalled, they walked me through the same things I had already done, then said to take it to a store. So they set up an appointment for the only day I could get to it, 1 1/2 hours away, on my grand son's birthday. That was okay if they fixed it. So they hard reset it, we had to setup 4 email accounts, they would not allow me to restore because they said it was a software problem. So I had to download all the apps, lost a lot of data. No fun. But if it worked! So Monday back at work, guess what, same thing. When home and did another hard reset. Still no lick. Called apple again. They said they would replace my phone, all they needed was to put a hold on a credit card for $899 or drive a 1 1/2 hours to a store.
So anyone know a good andriod phone.
PS I got a email asking about the service each time and each time I told them what a horrible phone it was and how bad service was. I have yet to hear back. I guess they do not read them!

You're not speaking to Apple on in this forum, nor will someone from Apple see this post.   We are just users like you and I.
Have you tried to restore or reset your phone?

  • Need help with SMS message telling me I have a voice mail, need to get rid of that

I have done a few searches on the internet and have found nothing that fixes my problem.
I use two message boxes/folders, one is for phone calls and the other is for SMS/MMS messages.  I need to keep these this way (I am not searching though 100 text messages to find a phone number that is critical).
The problem occurred after I downloaded a new update (Jan 11th, 2010; think is like version 4.6 or something).  Before, if I got a call it showed up in my call message box/folder and if they left a voice mail I have a special ring tone for voice mail messages.   I also had it when I got a SMS/MMS message it went to its own "mailbox/folder" and had its own ring tone when a new one was sent.  Now when I get a voice mail message due to the fact I also get a SMS/MMS message I only hear a text message ring tone (not good).
I need to know the instant I get a voice mail, the text messages are a nice thing to have for my significant other and friends.  If I walk out of a location that I did not have reception and I get a voice mail, I now think its a text message and get to it when I can even though I needed it then.
    Example: just think of leaving a building with your hands full heading to point B, when the voice mail told you a correction and divert to point C;
voice mail = hold everything and get the message all good
text message = head to point B, see a problem and pray you get to point C before anything bad happens).
I went to my local Sprint/Nextel store and they told me there was nothing I could do.
If this can't be fixed I will be forced to get another cell, then everyone including me will sufer because we will have to pay for it (just think taxes).
I feel exahusted in looking for a solution, if there is not one then blackberry needs to do an update.
Provided its a software problem that needs an update or maybe I am not to bright to find where to turn this off.
My questions about this would be:
    1.  How does the phone get a text message, does it generate it from my phone number or the phone number where my voice mail is sent
    2.  Once I know which number it is being sent from, can I put a text block on it
    3.  Last but not least, will it solve the problem?
    Thanks
Incase it does not show up I have a Blackberry Curve 8350i from Nextel OS V4.6.313

  • Why can't a customer change the length of time before voice-mail picks up??

I spent nearly half an hour on the phone yesterday with tech support attempting to lengthen the amount of time that elapses before voice mail answers from 30 to 40 seconds.  This use to be the easiest of settings to modify, even from first generation mobile phones.  Heck, you didn't even have to call tech support for such a simple change - just accomplish it from phone settings.  I was informed by Verizon tech support that now all Verizon phones have a standard 30 second time to pick up and IT CAN NOT BE CHANGED!!!  Ridiculous!  I use my phone for business and each time a miss a call it represents a potential lost customer.  Give me the extra freakin 10 seconds to answer please - come on Verizon!!!

  • OCS Voice Mail

Users in our organization have encountered a peculiar problem with the Voice Mail playback feature of OCS over the phone, which affects long voice mail messages. The problem is as follows: Long voice mail messages play for about 10 seconds. Then, they go into a silence pause of seven seconds. After the pause, the messages resume playing to completion. No part of a message is lost during the pause.
We are running OCS on two Redhat Linux servers, plus the customary Windows telephony server. The PBX is a Cisco CallManager Version 4.1
Any ideas as to how to deal with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Eduardo Bedoya @ Muskegon County, Michigan

The configuration of our OCS implementation required 3 servers. Two servers running Redhat Enterprise 3.1. One for the Collaboration Suite infrastructure and the other for the database. The third server is a Windows 2000 server that is configured with the telephony cards.
Under the advise of Oracle, we contracted with a consulting company, who in turn subcontracted with an integrator. The integrator brought in a third party to configure the telephony server.
The jury is still out regarding this implementation. We are still having some issues with the system, but need to bite the bullet and continue forward with the project. In addition, besides being expensive, the integrators make the process sound rather complex.
I would recommend that you do extensive research with the help of Oracle before you embark on a project like this.

  • Voice Mail Access Code

I set the access code to open Voice Mail when I got the Curve. I want to change it. The curve says I have no password (is this the access number). The Curve manual is no help. The curve menu doesn't help either.

    Hi,
I meant that you were going to change your password, so your direct number was typed correctly alread,

  • Visual voice mail does not sync/reconcile with icon notification

new to blackberry... have the Tour 9630 and so far am very happy but am having a few issues with visual voice mail:
    1) the visual voicemail inbox does not register new voicemails... I continually have to manually "resync mailbox,"  even if I wait 20-30 mins for a voicemail to register once I get a standard notification
    2) Once I listen to a visual voicemail and delete it, the notification icon on the Home screen does not reconcile that they've been listened to.... even if I've listened to them hours ago.
    3)  I'd rather not receive 3 notifications of a new voicemail in my main inbox... I get notification from 1) the icon on the Home screen, 2) from the "new Voicemail" message, and (when working) 3) from visual voicemail.  I've looked but can't find how to set a preference to filter such redundant messages.
any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!

    Hi.
I would do a battery pull and see it the icon returns to normal.
I would then call your BB and leave a VM. See if you can clear the icon when you clear the VM.
The other options is calling Verizon and ask them to reset your voice mail options and clear all messages.
Let us know how it goes!
    Thanks,

(I'm not that quick, there is thread about three doors down, so I just what and pasted what I previously wrote!)

GiffGaff are not a supported UK Apple carrier .That is probably why you have lost Voicemail they are a cheap carrier who provide minimum services ,do they even offer voice mail
