It would helpful if you mention the model number of you computer.Also mention the operating system shipped with your computer. Have you restored ther same operating system shipped wiht your computer?

It's an Acer Aspire M1641 desktop, with Windows Vista home premium O/S. The O/S has not been changed.Thanks.

hi peter, that was the plan to get o2 to unlock the which they do 4 £15 but as i cant get any network signal signal of them (but i am getting a 3g signal as i can access the internet???) o2 are saying there is nowt they can do. i still get no signal after doing a factory reset which in a perfect world should reset my network back to o2 but no signal only getting 3g.im at lost now on how to restore the network im sure its something to do with the carrier signal ?

P.S. Strange after the factory reset and the system's downloading I got this as apps (of course some are downloaded by me)

Actually, the "delete all" part is done by your using Disk Utility to erase the partition, as part of your clean install.

I had earlier purchased an MS office 365 which does not come with an installation cd, just the product key to be entered in the office website, is there anyway I can still use my purchase? I had entered the product key but it said "your microsoft office
isnt connected to this account" when i was logged with the same account which i used to login to MS office. IS THERE ANY WAY?

Hello, I'm new here. I lost my iPad and tracking it now via iCloud but it says offline. I'm afraid the thief/finder has done a factory reset on it. It doesn't have a passcode. I just want to know if iCloud can still track a lost/stolen iPad if the thief/finder has done a factory reset on it. I really don't know what to do. This is my first time losing such gadget. You can go to iTunes, and download any music tracks for free if you have already downloading them. Same goes for apps, go to the App Store on your iPod, Updates, and then Purchased. From there, download anything for free (that you purchased before). All app progress will be saved too.
OR, if you have a reliable backup, you can restore from that.

My windows 7 crashed and I was unable to repair it and or do a recovery. This computer is my daughters and it has never been right because it would never back up or make an image. So, I performed a Toshiba Recovery of factory default software with user’s data. That worked great and fixed the Windows issue but all of her settings did not comeback. Everything is saved as a C:/Backup file. How do I access those files to restore her settings and programs?? Or is it a lost cause??? Also, can someone suggest a good automatic third party backup program??

Normally, I can just press and hold down 0 but I can no longer using this function. Is it possible that I can use it again on the new hard drive ?

I thought that factory resetting would clear out all data? Is it possible he legitimitely needs my usename and password after a factory reset?

It does not. They need your Apple ID and password to use the phone. If Find My Phone is turned on then you can remotely erase the phone so it will restore as New. You would do this by logging into icloud.com with your Apple ID and password. Click on the Find My Phone icon. Then select your device under the Apple Devices list. When selected a small window dialog opens. Click on the Erase iPhone link.

What upgrade did you apply? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

I decided to hard reset my 5530 and format the memory for the first time because it was running slow and the music library takes to long to refresh.
To my surprise after doing a hard reset there was an enrty on the log that show an sms message was sent to an unknown number the time show it was sent after setting up the time in the phone setup.
Just wondering if its a virus or something cause i bought the phone brand new about 2 months ago, and i just realized it just now after a couple of months.

It's not a virus.
It was the phone registering with the my nokia service again, like it did the first time it was ever switched on with a sim inserted.
