I lost one of my "notes" and want to retrieve it?

After my last sync, one of my "notes" within the notes category is now lost. I can't find it on iPhone or on my computer. Where do I look for it? Only one "note" appears to be lost while the others were updated and saved in Outlook as usual.

Don't worry for unable to retrieve the deleted note in iphone 5 device.You can easily retrieve the notes from backup application.For restore the deletes note follow the below instructions
---> First of all turn on the iphone 5 device.
---> After turn on locate the icloud application on home menu and tap it.
---> In home menu select the icloud and tap it.
---> Now enter the login details and login to icloud account.
---> After enter locate and tap the previously backuped files.
---> Among this select the notes option.
---> Now go to the options and tap the restore option.
After completing check the notes in iphone 5 again.

Are you certain you purchased it from Apple (or whom you thought was Apple) in the first place? Do you have the original Proof of Purchase? If so did you take it with you to the store?
What I'm struggling to understand is how you end up with a ton of debris underneath a camera lens? Unless it was taken apart either by you (and you somehow forgot); or someone you know (unknown to you) or by whomever sold it to you.
Apple know exactly when and where they've opened in the course of repairing/replacing any of their devices whether by themselves or by an authorised Apple Repair Centre.

If Apple themselves can't help you it's difficult to see how any one on these user-to-user forums can? Best any of us here can do is to offer you our opinion. It's up to you thereafter whether you want to take notice of it.

So far as I am aware, books haven't been available for 6 years, so I'm wondering if you mean audiobooks.
Audiobooks are not currently part of the content that can be re-downloaded.

I lost one of my calendars and every time I load the back up, I cloud updates and wipes out the calendar I am trying to restore.

As long as I stay off the cloud, I can keep my back up calendar. As soon as I open the cloud, the update wipes out the one am trying to recover. I use three-- and the most important one, appointments, somehow went a way. Fortunately I have a recent back up. maddening

If you synchronize any of your calendars with a server such as iCloud, disable that synchronization. Quit Calendar.
Triple-click the line below to select it: ~/Library/Calendars Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Enter Time Machine and restore that folder from the snapshot you want.
Relaunch Calendar and test. Your calendars should be as they were when the snapshot was taken. If you don't sync with a server, stop here. If you do sync some of the calendars with a server, select each one in turn and then select
File ▹ Export ▹ Export…
from the menu bar. You'll get ICS files with the filename extension ".ics". Re-enable sync. Usually, all the calendars you just restored will be deleted. That's not a problem. Create a new calendar on the server for each one you exported and want to sync:
File ▹ New Calendar
Then import the calendar from the corresponding ICS file by double-clicking it. Follow the prompts to import the new events to the calendar you just created. For calendars that you don't want to sync, just import them again. They'll appear in the calendar list under On My Mac.

from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

hi Shallah, your notes were missing probably because of the upgrade of your iPhone. You've mentioned that you've backed up your iPhone, then how to retrieve deleted notes on iPhone?
1. Launce your iTunes and navigate to Edit > Preferences (on Windows) and iTunes > Preferences (on Mac).
2. Now, go to the Devices tab and make sure to check the “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically” option. This way you will make sure that iTunes ill not try to delete any data from your iPhone such as your songs or videos upon sync
3. Now connect your iPhone to your computer and with your iTunes open, then go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. You will see a window with all of your backups listed on it. Click “Restore from Backup”.
If this way cannot help, why not try some recovery software? Like, iPhone notes recovery.

Two iPhones with one email account, notes and alerts from separate users show up on each others phones

My husband and I have always shared a personal email account. We got iPhones a year ago and each set them up to view our shared email. He also has a separate email account for work. Unfortunately, when either of us takes a "note" on the notepad or sets an alert on the calendar, it shows up on the other person's phone. I assume these aps use the email to sync? Is there a way to manage this so that we can share email but not the other stuff? We set up separate iCloud accounts with separate apple ID's thinking that would do it but it didn't change anything.

goto settings>mail,contacts,calenders>accounts and under your shared email account disable notes and calender.

Have you backed it with iCloud? You can get it on iCloud if you did it. Or, you need to use some app to get it back.

Lost my settings, photos, music, addresses and want to retrieve them

I don't know what I did, but I did something bad. I am missing music from itunes, pictures from iphoto, Safari bookmarks, listings in my address book, email, and destop settings. When I go to itunes to buy music, it tells me that I don't have an account, though I have purchased music from them before and when I try to log into my sbcglobal account through Mail, it also tells me I don't have an account. The icons in my dock have changed to question marks and, except for the blessed presence of my saved documents, my system seems to reset itself. I have tried the following:
In the Finder, go to the /Users folder.
Locate the new home directory, which bears the users' short name.
Add "_new" to the new home directory's name.
Rename the old home directory to the user's correct short name.
Log out and back in with the affected user account.
But in my /Users folder there is only the home icon with my shortname. There is not a new home directory or old one, there is only the old one, without those things I listed above.
I never deleted my music or photos, etc...but I did have to force quit my finder one day and this occurred shortly afterward. I have not logged into another account unknowingly.
I did moved some things around between my Home folder and my Applications folder, which I think may have been a mistake...though I don't really know.
Can anyone tell me how to recover all my settings and files?

This is absurd, but I fixed my problem enough. I had moved the Library from my home folder, then it had replicated itself as a blank "library" folder and sat there hoping I wouldn't notice, which I didn't for a very long time (ahem, two months...very embarrassing).
I found my original Library where I'd put it (in a folder in my home folder where, I guess it couldn't be read) and put it back in my home folder, first renaming the phony Library "Library2". Then I removed everything from my dock and reopened it from my home folder and applications.
Now everything's pretty much back on my computer...though not exactly as it was. All the photos I had deleted are back in iphoto, and all the songs I'd deleted from itunes have been restored, which is interesting, but not depressing as it had been All my bookmarks on Safari, my email, and my address book entries are back as well. My slideshows are still missing, as are my playlists and my preferences but I am so happy to have the things back that I was afraid I lost that I really don't care. I just removed the question marks from my dock when I got everything back.
Not a perfect solution, but that's fine.
Oh, and notice that my name has changed? Whatever I did made it so that I was masquerading as another user on my own account. desperatetimes is gone, I guess.

Ok so I am writing a novel and I do it when I walk the dog mostly so a lot of it is done in notes. After a particularly long walk as the creative juices were flowing I had written about 3000 words.
I wanted to email it to my laptop so I could carry on when I got home and I know I could have sent it directly from there but when you do that the email subject ends up being the whole body of text and you have the faf of deleting it so I selected the whole text and meant to press copy so I can paste it in toan email but instead pressed paste.
All of my work has gone, replaced by the last thing I copy pasted.
Can I get that text back? Please, please help.

Where have your photos been previously? Have these photos been taken with your iPhone or with a camera and synced with iTunes?
If your photos have been in the Photo stream, they will be removed from iCloud after a month. iCloud will only keep the last 1000 photos and only for a month. If you reset your photo stream, only the current content of iCloud can be restored from iCloud.

Restore from your backup - as long as the notes are in the backup. If you haven't backed up since you created that page of notes, they cannot be recovered by restoring from the backup.
When you restore from a backup, you restore everything in that backup onto the iPad - form the date and time of that particular backup.
