Well I update to the new os and now the personal hotspot the function to turn my phone in to a mobile WiFi hotspot please help

I also have a Iphone 4s and lost hotspot after this latest update. Device is not jailbroken, connected to Telstra network from new, purchased from Telstra and Hotspot was available and working right up until I did the update. Very frustrating because I use it all the time. Can some one please help.

Can't restore my phone after updating to iPhone 5.1
I updated my phone last night to 5.1. After doing that my computer told me I had to restore my phone. I tried to restore it once and it told me that there was an error. I looked to see what might have been the problem and there were 5 different things that apple said I could do to help with it. After doing all 5 things it still won't restore. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on or what I can do to fix this issue?
With the phone turned off, press and hold the Home button while plugging it into your computer. Try restoring through iTunes again.

Messages app will not open after updating my iphone 4s to ios 8.1
I have just updated my iphone 4s 32g from ios 7.something to ios 8.1. Update seemed to go smoothly, however I have not been able to use my text messages and imessage application. Every time I try open it, I get a mostly white screen which hangs for a while then crashes. I receive notifications for texts and imessages reveived, but cannot open them.
Have tried all message related suggestions that I have found on the net, such as switching imessage on and off and I have tried a total system restore, but same problem exists once the restore has been done.
Very very frustrating.
Anyone have any guidance for me?I have the same issues. I have a iPhone 5s and did the update this morning.

i just update my ipad 3 software to ios 8 , on the setting it was icon down to Cellular called Personal Hotspot , and i lost personal hotspot after updating , how or where i can find it again ?

It sounds like you are trying to find the Personal Hotspot option in your Settings. You were close. The option is directly under Settings, and not in the Cellular section of Settings:
Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot

I had the same issue. I called AT&T and chatted with a Technical Assistance Rep. He reset my phone using my IMEI and my ICCID(Sim) numbers. Now my Personal Hotspot is working again.

I lost all my phone contacts after updating my iPhone 4 to iOS5. It's not just contacts, my photos, messages, mail and everything is gone. I did the back-up thing on iTunes too before I updated the iOS. The only thing that restored was the apps. Is there anyway to get this back?

Why when I use personal hotspot at my iPad mini retina for my iPhone it doesn't stay for long,it disconnect after 5minuteAssuming you are using OSX, connect iphone ny usb then go to system preferences. Go to network pane and scroll down to "wheel" and from the drop down select service order. If you see the iphone then drag it to the top of the list then select apply.
