It never happened to me, but try to Reset the iPhone by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears and ignore the red slider.

I am missing some of my contacts in my iphone4 after upgrading to iOS 6. They are still in the memory but how to retrieve them.

What do you mean "they are still in the memory"? What memory?
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If they are gone, then they are gone (must have been a setting during the update to iOS6).
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers.

Hi Folks! need your help in order to diagnose aPowerBook G4 1Ghz Serial V731556CMVZ. It worked perfectly untill start to have problems with hard drive. I bought a new Seagate Momentus 7200RPM and followed the instructions ifixit.com without any problem.
After finishing, the PowerBook won't start. I can not hear any noise form HD, or SuperDrive, no startup chim sound.
I disasembly and assembly again the PB and nothing. I try to reset PRAM SHIFT CTRL ALT POWER and nothing.
It's frustrating. Please Help!

I would make sure the keyboard ribbon is squarely seeded and in the right position. That clip is extremely tiny and fragile. Any damage to it whatsoever could cause major issues. Did it fracture at all during the installation process?

Lost some of my photos after upgrading, though I can still see the previews.

My 2.66 intel core i5 IMAC recently had a HD crash. Fortuneatly I had a 2T western external HD set up as a time machine. The local Apple reseller checked the HD and had it replaced. When I got my PC back I noticed it had the newer operating system and the newer ilife 11. I attached the time machine and began a restore. All seemed to go well. When I opened iPhoto for the first time, I was prompted to have the library upgraded for the newer software which I did. Then when I went into iPhoto to check my pics. Everything seemed ok until I opened my last import to see that even though I could preview all my pics, I could only open about 20 percent of them. The rest displayed a large grey exclamation point. What has happened and how can I recover these pics? I am now thinking I should keep raw copies of all my photos (have about 40,000), is there a way to export all the raw pics from iphoto without doing each one seperately?
Been a big Apple fan for many years and trying not to let this change my opinion.

Try all options except for the thumbnails. If that fails:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

I have just upgraded to Lion, and started setup for iCloud.
I can't find my photo library on my Mac.
I tried upgrading to iPhoto 9.2, but the install didn't work -- got stuck on "searching for photos"
The photos do appear in iPhoto, but not in the library?
My backups on a separate hard disk may be ok, but I thought the library used to have the list of photos. All I can see is the icon. I hesitate to open anything, as I don't want to lose all of my photos....
Please advise.

Are you trying to access your photos? You do not do that directly into the iPhoto library - that has never been a support access method - you use the media browser

Now every time i try and start windows like I used to, the computer restarts but then i get a black screen with text on the top left saying something like "no system disk". N95 hang after upgraded to v30, please help

I upgraded my N95 using Nokia Software Updater to v30, NSU shown updated completed. After power down the phone and powe up again, the N95 unable to power up and show the "NOKIA" logo only.

Try booting it without the memory and sim card in.
If that fails to work try the hard reset which will revert it to a fresh out of the box state with all data wiped.
Hard reset:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button for a second to switch on the phone.
4. Release when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
It may take a few attempts and very flexible fingers.
If that still fails then your only option is the nokia care point.

Drivers are somehow missing after upgrading iTunes. Please help

I have had this problem for months now and have just dealt with it, but after getting a problem fixed with my iPod Classic, I thought now would be the right time to finally find out something about this and maybe get the problem solved...
When upgrading my iTunes version, the install seems to go fine, but about halfway through the install process I lose my internet connection... the new iTunes will install completely and work fine, but from the time I lose the internet connection, Windows is unable to find any networks because somehow the drivers for my network adapter seem to be missing...
The only thing I've been able to do to get my internet connection/drivers back is to use System Restore and restore the system to a few days back, and of course go back to the old version of iTunes. I've probably tried upgrading 10 times or more since the first time this happened as more updates are available, but the same thing happens every time... It would be nice to update, since I've been having a few issues with iTunes lately that upgrading might help fix (maybe?), but if it means choosing between an internet connection and a newer version of iTunes, then of course I'm not upgrading.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I can do? Thanks.

The problem is still there with iTunes 9, and nobody has even attempted to answer my question... My mom "accidentally" installed the upgrade again this morning, and I almost missed my online class because I had to restore the computer. Can anybody tell me anything? Or am I just stuck ignoring the update windows and using an old version of iTunes forever? Half the pages on the store tell me to upgrade to see the content, and it's really, really annoying me.
