I love firefox 3.08 but when I install any improved versions they will not run on my desktop even when I have disabled all add ons and the firewall, can you help?

my system is Windows XP Media Center 2005 Hp model
I use Avast anti virus but have disabled it when loading firefox
I removed the Mcfee firewall which I thought might have stopped it running
I disabled all the add ons in case that was the problem
The internet explorer which I dont use as a browser has loaded up the inbox which ss very hard to remove
I have tried all the suggestions in the support section without success
please help as the message on the screen reads that the firefox version 3.08 is no longer secure.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Sending a solution that I have already tried is of no help, but I tried them all again, reloading works sometimes, I have seen in the past that others have had this problem also, of pages not completely loading. So I don't see how you can say I am the only one. When I first started using Firefox it worked great but now it doesn't, one of the updates caused this problem. I guess it's back to IE as it works fine now.

Firefox keeps wanting to start in Safe Mode and it says I can make some changes permanent such as "Disable all add-ons" and others. When I select one of the options I can then "Make Changes and Restart".

When I make my selection it can then proceed to use Firefox. However the next time I open Firefox I get the same problem.
I'm using Windows 7. I have used Firefox for many years with Windows XP and never had this problem. Is there a solution?

When I close Firefox, it leaves an open instance each time in Processes. This eats up memory. I've disabled all add-ons, and it still does it.

Over the course of the day, I can have 15-20 instances running in the background and they can range from as low as 3K in memory to upwards of 500000K. This makes my computer super laggy, and I have to go in and manually shut down each one. I've disabled every single add-on and plug in, and tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox to no avail. Use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" then try to disable this feature.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Anytime I run a Flash game, Firefox closes! I have updated all add-ons and extentions, disabled Adobe DLM and went through the suggestions to fix this issue. NOTHING WORKS! What do I do?

I have an integrated webcam that has not been working for approx 6 months! I have updated the Suyin driver/software from Gateway.com. It installs with no problems. I have the webcam icon on
my toolbar and I am able to open the help menu for the software and directions on how to use the camera. However I can't open the preview window and get an error message "camera not installed or in use by another." In device manager, it shows 1.3
M webcam under imaging devices with no errors and the driver being updated. The driver is not Suyin but a Microsoft usb video driver

I don't know if AMD is controlling my webcam? When I click on flash it states no webcam found, the mic is found though. Skype and other sites also say no webcam found. I don't know why I can't install Suyin through device manager?

I have multiple registry entries for suyin from the download such as regedit 5.0 Suyin which by default has this error message in many languages? There is also a USB registry that flashes when installed and

I don't know if I need a BIOS update to fix this from gateway.com??? I haven't done that because I am unsure and don't want to make this worse. I do find at the gateway site the only update is the webcam
which is 1/21/11. The others are the same from 6/24/2010, which I already have. I bought the computer in 12/2010 new. The webcam was working in 12/13 , for I had a 2 year warranty and no issues . I think this is a simple fix but I am not an expert,

I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

- Reinstall Firefox on a different location
- Change download location
- Start Firefox in safe mode and try download
- Disable all add-ons and plug-ins
- Complete malware/spyware scan
- Complete virus scan

- Uninstall firefox and delete the entire mozilla folder in Roaming location
- Disabling antivirus
Nothing helps! I'm only having this problem in Firefox. Downloading with Chrome for example doesn't give any problems.
How can I resolve this problem? I'm really desperate.

Are you positive these podcasts are configured to sync to your iPod Touch? Have you double checked the configuration for podcasts from under the iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes?
To access this tab, plug your iPod in and click on its name from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the iPod's Summary tab. Locate the Podcasts tab along the top and select it. Here you can choose how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.

Do you place the ipod in the dock during the night? I did this once and the other day the battery was almost empty because it kept on playing after it rested in the dock.

My girlfriend had a similar issue because her new device was not updated to IOS7 when she turned it on, but her backup point was created using IOS7. Check to be sure the restore point was created and then factory reset the phone after you have updated to 7.
