I keep getting timed out of server notice after I open a facility and then go to the next facility. It will also time out when working on the fields such as plowing on a friends farm, or planting on my own.

Some Flash-based games can take more time than to load, so you may have to increase the timeout on crash protection. See [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]].

How can I organise the program dashboard the way that it does not open automatically and very quickly other programs?
Thanks for an answer
Reinhard Voegele
SwitzerlandIf you hold down the option key while in dashboard you can close many of the programs.
To disable it from opening automatically, or unintentionally:
1) go to System preferences -> mission control.
2) Deselect any mouse shortcuts
3) Remove it from hot corners, if it is active. -
Keep getting "network timed out" message when trying to download tv shows -
Howdy all!
For two days I've been trying to fix a problem: when I go to the Itunes store and buy tv shows (CSI, Battlestar Gallatica) I can buy them, start the download, but after a minute all of the downloads stall and I get the error message "network timed out" "error 3259"). However, I can download podcasts at lightning speed, and my connection is very high. the error message said there was a problem with the itunes store.
I deleted itunes several times, reinstalled, went through and deleted all the old files, reinstalled, and tried several times. Each time I get the same message
The itunes store says: "Hey, you bought this, but unsuccessfully downloaded it before. want to try again?"
and each time it fails.I tried to see if the problem was with the itunes store - I bought a song and it downloaded in seconds. I then went to the tv shows section and tried to download a "free" tv show - and got the same message. So in this case, the error only seems to be with downloading tv shows.
I'm at my wit's end - don't know what to do. -
I get a 'application timed out' message when trying to download the new iOS
How do I extend the time it takes for download before the application times out?
Tried that and it seemed to be helping, but I was only able to get up to about 300 MB downloaded before it timed out again.

I am trying to update a ipone 3 however it is stuck in recovery mode and it keeps giving me an error message, please help
Error 1015: This error is caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. This error can also occur when an unauthorized modification of the iOS has occurred.
Either your phone is jailbroken or you are trying to install a version of iOS different than the current version for your phone. If it's jailbroken you will have to find a solution elsewhere on the Internet, as it cannot be discussed in an Apple hosted forum. -
'network connection timed out message' when updating
this is happening every time I try to update my podcasts. (even if I have my internet open in another window) It used to work fine. grrr. I'm not a techie, but is there some setting I can change to make it work?
After iTunes gives up all the podcasts updates, right click on one title and select "Update podcast". Instead of the normal three at a time processing, let iTunes process this one podcast. If it works, and after it finishes the download of the/any new podcast episode, try the same trick on another podcast.

How don't fix this?
Greetings Nflorez,
Based on your post, it sounds like you are having issues connecting to the internet. I have located two posts that may help you. Since I don't know your network configuration, I have included articles about Wi-Fi and an article that provides further network troubleshooting resources:
Wi-Fi Quick Assist - Apple Support

I use only an external monitor as my set up will not allow me to use both my Macbook Pro monitor and external monitor efficiently at the same time. In the past, I would plug my MBP into into my external monitor with the lid closed, wake it up and then open the lid with no issues. It was kind of a pain in the rear but at least it worked. Now, opening the lid activates both the MBP and external monitors automatically instead of leaving the MBP monitor off.
This is an issue because, well, look at the speed test that results from simply closing my MBP lid:
Look at that MASSIVE drop in speed. I need to use just one monitor. Upon googling my problem, it seems to be widespread problem. At least there was a way to get around it before the screens autmatically changed...Support today quoted Apple's engineers as saying it is "expected behaviour" in Lion for the MBP's internal display to reactivate upon opening the lid, even if you want to use only your external display. A new version of the clamshell mode-related knowledgebase article (replacing HT3131) is due shortly confirming this.
This is despite:
- obvious temperature-related benefits that were achievable (under Snow Leopard) by opening your MBP lid whilst continuing to output solely to, say, a 27" cinema display
- wifi connectivity benefits of having the lid open
- the waste of energy and inefficient use of graphics processing power in needlessly running two active screens (ie if running your MBP in clamshell mode would otherwise make it too hot and/or noisy or you need it open for wifi)
- negative longer-term impact on the battery and components from running the MBP hotter than it needs to be.
For any chance of getting the previous behaviour back, we need to ask Apple to change how Lion handles clamshell mode. Options may include changing Lion's expected behaviour or adding a user-selectable option within System Preferences. Now the situation has been clarified as intentional, user feedback on this issue has become all the more important.
http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
In the meantime, a low strength fridge magnet placed on the inside surface along the right hand edge (perhaps above the Kensington lock slot) may serve to convince a MBP that the lid is still closed. It's not something I'd recommend or do personally, but some others are reportedly finding this helpful in the immediate short term. -

New to I-pad and keep getting timed out when trying to download apps any help?
Any help when constantly getting timed out message on trying to download apps by using security questions?
I had the same problem! I don't know what caused it, possibly slow Internet but I suppose my antivirus or other software could have affected it. Maybe it's an iTunes problem.
After restarting the download at least 5 times in iTunes after it timed out, I found this website. I didn't know this before, but you can download the update in your browser and then apply it to your iPhone in iTunes once it finishes. I used Firefox 4 and it downloaded without timing out once. All you have to do is hold down Shift and then click on Update in iTunes and it will prompt you to select the update that you downloaded and it will apply it.
Try this and let me know how it works! -
