I'm a begginer

OK, I know how to put up movies and do different scenes, but i don't know how to make one clip go into the next. Also, i want to have a title to pop up before the movie, and i know how. But when i play the movie... the title does not show. I want to also be able to put little subtitles in between specific clips like... "Clip one, then a subtitle... then clip two... then another subtitle." How do I doe these things?

When you put your movie clips down on the time line, they will play sequentially.
If you know how to make a beginning title for your movie, it should appear at the beginning when you play your movie. If you want titles on black clips at the beginning of your movie and between your clips, be sure to check 'Over Black.' You can also choose the color for the titles, the font and the size. Use 'Preview' to see what it will look like.
After you type the text for the title, select its duration using the slider under the little preview box at the upper right. Then, drag the title to the timeline so it can render. You will not be able to view titles until after they have been rendered. Do not drag the text, drag the little square T box next to the TYPE of title you have chosen; for example, 'Subtitle' or 'Centered' or 'Bounce to center.' When you drag the title type to the timeline to position it where you want it, you will first see the clips jump a little just drop the title between the clips and then wait for the red rendering line to go away.Then play the movie to see if it is the way you want the titles to be.
If you want the titles to go over the clips, not on their own black clips, uncheck the 'Over Black' box. You may have to change the duration of the title to be sure it is the same as or less than the duration of the clip on which you wish to place it.

I'm editing a site using photoshop and dreamweaver, the problem is that photoshop does'nt paste formatted text so I had to appeal to Dreaweaver. The problem is that when I paste my word text (paste especial - full formatting) all the format stuff is right, but the beggining of the some lines (which have some spaces in word) doesn't have spaces in Dreamweaver. How can I do that? I'm asking that because I know you can tab the line, but the tab size is too large for me, is there any way to get it lower? And there's a way of don't put new lines on or under the tabbed text (Dreamweaver does that)?

In the Code view use:
<code>"nbsp;"</code>
exactly as it is written above. It will put a NonBreakingSPace (NBSP) into the text. Each "<code> </code> " that you put equals one letter space depending on which font you use. It is the same as placing multiple spaces with the spacebar when you use it multiple times.

I listen to recorded talks which are over an hour long, Because the talk are too long I have to stop and carry out other work at home. If I happened to listen to a song and later go back to listen to the talk, It starts from the beggining not where I stop earlier. Can you please tel me how to save the talk where I stop so that I can come to the same place later,

There is no current way to do what you are asking, because your talks are played as if they were songs. If you could somehow make the recorded talks considered podcasts they would function like you want. Unfortunately, there is no current way to make, what iTunes considers a song, a podcast at this time.

Print Gantt Chart: blank at the beggining of the chart

I am working with cProjects 4.5, trying to explore printing Gantt functionality.
1. If I try to print a whole project, at the beggining of the graphic I have a gap of approximately 1,5 months before the project starts. How can I print the graphic view only from the project start date?
2. If I had already completed phase 1, maybe printing that phase is irrelevant for me, and I want the graphic printing to start from phase 2. Can I choose a date from when I want to print the graphic?

Help! Begginer applet won't run

Please help I am a begginer with java programming and have written a basic java applet works fine using jdkCommander applet viewer but when open in internet explorer it says " class thename not found ". The class file is in the same folder as the html file.

You may want to check your classpath settings. You can do a forum search on classpath to get many examples of how to do this.

     Ok, sorry if the titles not good enough but i am a php programmer between begginer and intermediate but who wants to know java so i can say write a applet or something that can run from the desktop directly, also i wanted to lean OO and it in php confuses me infinately so i decided in the context of knowing nothing i might pick it up better thus java.
So most of what im doing is confusing to me so i just tried to type some code (Well the first 20 maybe lines i compiled and tested but after that i couldnt test so i just ran with it. Today i tried to compile and poof, nothing.
Any clues what im doing wrong and what i should do instead?
BTW this stuff feels weird, i feel like to take imput it should have a html form or something. I dunno.
also i dont even seem to have these acm packages im trying to import, any clue why?

Tackle one problem at a time and learn the concepts of the tutorial which will hopefully stay with you, as these fundamental concepts will be your foundation to development using the Java language.

I am about to upgrade my lion os x to mountain lion tomorrow.
I'm new to mac and I used to work with windows so much
in windows before when I want upgrade my windows or install one on a system first I format it in order to clean up all of the hard disk and start a new windows with a completely clean disk.
now I want to clean up whole of my disk and applications before starting the mountain lion
is there anyway to do that?

There is no need to reformat your hard drive. Just run the ML installer. This is not a Windows PC. That said of course you will have at least one backup incase there is an issue.

I use garagband to record jam sessions. So I have one realy long track and then I go back through split up the tracks, but some times I need to drag a track to the beggining and if it's the end of a 4 hour jam it takes a while to drag it all the way to the beggining. Is there a shortcut to move it to the front/beggining of the project?

no, the best you can do is use the zoom slider to zoom all the way out, making the drag-move shorter

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPod yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If that doesn't work, are you still connected to a network? Either way try connecting to a different one and downloading another FREE app to see if that helps.

Begginer with Java Applets

I'm a begginer, reading Teach Yourself Java in 21 days and i encounterred one problem in day 8 Java Applet Basics.
When I browse HelloAgainApplet.html i get an error when i click on the java Applet : "class: HelloAgainApplet not found".
I mention that HelloAgainApplet.html and HelloAgainApplet.class are in the same directory and my html looks like that:

Screeching noise at the beggining of my project.

Everytime I record a video and I play it back in my bin, and it plays back fine. However once I put it up into a project, there is a really loud screeching noise at the beggining of the video. Has anyone had this problem?

I'm reviving this thread, because I'm still having this problem.
I've tried turning my speakers on mute while recording, and I've tried turning my mic down all the way while playing video back.
Any other suggestions, any help at all would be awesome.
