Hi. First off, I've been a loyal AT&T wireless customer For 15-16 years now. I've been through many company name changes, U.S. cellular, Bell South, Cingular, AT&T, maybe more, but I have had it with being on the phone hours and hours trying to make this company understand my issues. I have bought who knows how many phones, have had who knows how many different plans, have never had my service disconnected, and have been late maybe a couple times throughout. I have four devices in service. Well three at the moment.
I downgraded my plan from 15gigs to 10gigs about 6 months ago,(I've gone up and down many times) when I did, my next bill was $100 more, which makes no sense, and of course I did not pay it. I've been on the phone with customer support for hours and hours, wasting life. Since that bill, I've been charged $5 a month late fee every month, which I will NEVER pay. I need help getting through the crap of being transferred from this person to that person and never accomplishing my goal. Can anyone tell me how to get to someone who can meet my demand of either taking all of that off of my account, or giving me a date to close my account, and switching to Verizon, who of course says that they will pay AT&T those charges if I'll switch. I need a contact other than the 1-800 customer service number or the 600 number

After over a decade, I think I'm ready to switch from Verizon.
I lost unlimited when I upgraded, and data costs are ridiculous.
I upgraded in April of 2013. I really wanted a 4G phone because my 3G Droid X wasn't enough for my internet wants. I found out unlimited data was no longer being offered, and I could only buy a limited plan or pay $600+ for a Galaxy S3 which was about to be obsolete (S4 was out already). Given no other options at the time, I went ahead and paid more money for less product (data) and got my new phone. Well, the honeymoon was over pretty quickly. I found 4gb was barely enough for what I was accustomed to using, and certainly not enough for what I wanted to use with my newfound 4G speed.
Couple 'paying more for less' with the fact that friends and co-workers were somehow able to keep their unlimited and upgrade phones at discounted rates, and I had a real bad taste in my mouth. Well its August of 2014, and that taste is still there. Paying $100/month has become really tiresome for 1 phone. A cell phone just shouldn't cost that much in my opinion. So now I'm doing serious research into other carriers, and even pre-paid plans. A simple Google search has shown that Verizon doesn't really need to care about it's customer's concerns, thanks to their near-monopoly on coverage for the past decade. Well that monopoly has changed quite a bit, and Verizon has not.
I want unlimited data. I don't care if it gets throttled after a certain point. I just want unlimited data back. I don't want to pay more than $70/month total for my 1 line plan. I don't need much voice or text. There are no plans to accommodate my wants. Other carriers do have plans to accommodate my wants, and have 4G coverage in my area.
I've been a loyal-paying customer for a very long time, but I feel like that has no value to Verizon. So in a way, this is a final cry for help from Verizon. Will they do anything to retain a good customer? Do I have any options, other than to switch carriers?twizted_3kgt wrote:

Since upgrading Firefox, it doesn't respond when I click on print and/or print preview while displaying web pages.. No error message, just no response. I tried using both my printers..a HP and a Canon and get no results with either. I have no problem printing from any other place (including "Print" instructions within web pages, usually). I have recently upgraded my desktop (Dell Vostro 220) to Windows 7 and it went smoothly. The Firefox upgrade came at about the same time, so I don't know if Windows 7 is part of the problem. I need be able to print from the screen of web pages!

Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article [[Firefox prints incorrectly]]? There is some good troubleshooting information in there. I would suggest that you try resetting your print settings.

Switched to Verizon and bought my phone and plan in Feb, submitted all paperwork to receive a discount because company I work for uses Verizon. Was told they lost the paperwork in Jun and I could verify my employment by using my employee e-mail. Did this and here it is towards the end of Sep and I still don't have my discount!! Very frustrated and think maybe I should have stayed with AT&T.

DVD about ready to burn but in simulate 'menu', when pressed from Menu 2 and Menu 3 begins playing Track 2 instead of returning the user to the Menu 1! "Title" works as it should.

Above should be my 'connections'The menu button on the remote will NOT move you through the different menus... it doesn't work that way at all. What happens is that it switches you from a menu to a track and back again, like a 'resume' feature. This is how the DVD Spec intended it to be, and is completely normal behaviour.
If you have not played a track and only gone to menus then there will be no resume information in place and you will probably get a 'not permitted' sign if you try to use the menu key whilst in a menu, or you will get dumped at the top level menu.
If you play a track and then go to the menu, then press menu a second time you will go back to the track at the point at which you last left - even if you have moved to a different menu in the mean time.
To move between menus the best way is to create a button for that purpose, or use the 'Return' button (but keep in mind this doesn't always work, and some remotes won't even have it on there). -
Hi, I have a Powermac with Mavericks and a recently purchased iPhone 5S. I just switched from Verizon with unlimited downloads to limited of 500mb per month, so I purchased a Powerlink Outdoor Plus which is supposed to increase the network range for over 1 mile. I am still getting the same distance range with my iPhone with the Verizon router. I was wondering if I need to make adjustments in the Network Settings. Does anyone know about this particular subject?

KevinOkay, I'll admit I don't know much about your configuration. A standard cellular package for a cellphone means you get your signal from a tower somewhere. It won't have anything to do with a router which will be a WiFi connection from a router. If you're talking about that, the Powerlink appears to be a directional antenna. You should get better transmission/reception in the direction it is pointed, but likely worse in other directions than if you were using an omnidirectional antenna. I presume you have it all hooked up correctly so the router is actually using the Powerlink antenna.
By the way, those distance ratings are always exaggerated. Maybe you'd get 1 mile if there was only dry air between you and the antenna and no trees, buildings, etc., and that would probably be just barely getting a signal. You should see improvement but don't go to a coffeeshop 1 mile away in a city and expect to see your router. We have a directional antenna on the roof of our house that looks like a satellite dish and I barely pick up the wireless service node a block away (with apartment buildings in between). Thre may also be a difference between using it to send a signal and receiving a signal. You might even need two, one at each end, to get 1 mile. -

in case,
we can have only one value for comparison and can have any number of branches for it.
in switch,
we can compare any number of values and have any number of branches.
eg:
consider i am triggering a workflow for purchase order change and i am having a multiple condition step.
if i am going for a case:
i can have only on value (ie po number/vendor number.....) as a parameter and can check different values with it. ( eg vendor number < 1000
vendor number > 1000.... so on)
a branch will be created for each condition.
if i am going for a switch:
i can take any parameter needed. (eg: vendor number > 1000
order type = 'NB' .... so on)
so a single branch can have any number of comparisons with the help of 'and' and 'or' operators and i can have any parameter for my condition.

Printing is a bitch !
My eyes mat be 72 years old but I'm not blind but I seem about ready to go that way. I don't know why Firefox 4 beta affects whatever I try to print but it sure does ! every letter is about four spaces from the next letter. You should try reading the mess. w h y d o e s i t d o t h i s ? Y o u s h o u l d t r y r e a d i n g a f u l l p a g e !That weird spacing is caused by a Bug in 4.0b12. It was fixed for the 4.0RC version due out this week. As far as the size of the letters being printed, that can be changed in File > Page Setup - '''Scale''' = 100% or Shrink to Fit is normal, but it can be made larger by going over 100% or using a '''Custom''' setting in Print Preview.

Hi! I am getting ready to switch from PC to MAC. My pics and back-up catalogue files are on an external hard drive. I am wondering if I can just use an up-to-date back-up catalogue to place in lightroom on my new MAC and then be up to speed. Will that work?
Thanks so much, LeoraYes, this should be fine! You may wish to give your catalog (the .lrcat) a new name (prefix) when you first copy it to your Mac. This will force build a new Previews folder on the new machine, sometimes a very good thing; sometimes wholly unnecessary.....

I'm about ready to migrate everything to google and gmail. Once again, the iCloud iMap server is rejecting my password and refusing to get my mail. This has happened dozens of times since iCloud went live. My password has NEVER been changed. The same password works flawlessly in iTunes store and Apple store. Somebody please give me a reason NOT to cut bait on iCloud.
iCloud Mail is down. Has been for a while. I would hope this will be resolved soon.
I agree with you. iCloud does not seem to have anywhere near a 99.9% uptime. :-) -
Do I need the "Wildcard in House" in the Settings, General, Profile?
This says that it is expiring and cannot find any information about this from Apple or Verizon.Apple haven't yet signed agreements with yell.com and similar local information services here in the UK or in europe. The rumor is that in the UK and others, will get it sometime towards the beginning of the year.

Record about my phone (bought in Verizon store and connected to Verizon for 4 years) has been corrupted and now I can not make any changes to my data plan. Several sessions with the technical support and management have not resolved this issue. Each time technical people and top managers promised that this issue will be resolve tomorrow and they will cal me. Nothing happend!! I can not even cancel my service not just to upgrade it. Completely locked.

If you are the account owner you can go to the My Verizon web portal http://www.verizonwireless.com
You must log in with your cell number and your my Verizon portal password. Not the account pin.
Once there you can change your plan and services. However repeated incorrect login attempts will lock you out of the site. It a fraud prevention measure.
1-800-922-0204 call support with your cell number and or account number and account pin and they can assist you.
If you don't have the information then there is nothing they can do.
If you can verify who you are they may be able to reset your account access. But only if you are the account owner.

Mac Pro Mac OS X (10.4.8) Final Cut Studio 5.1I'm currently working on a job in a facility that has 3 FCP systems and uses Terrablock networked storage. I was 3 months here so I saw a lot of the good and bad with this system. It's Fiber channel so quite fast but there were a lot of issues with the compability of the OS. When working it worked well. The Avid Unity systems are very solid and proven.
The biggiest issue I have with FCP in this enviroment is it's great if you keep a project on the same system but when you start moving edits around then you get into the media managment limitations of FCP. A large project with lots of media, audio, gfx of different types, lots of renders, can be a pain when moving and reconnect on a different system. In theory it should be flawless as you point back to the proper folders and drives but it rarely is. It can be done is just takes time. And the better the editor is with his/her media managment then the easier it is. Avid's media managment works much different so by nature it's a bit easier in the networked world. We'll see what FCP has at NAB to make this better.
Bottom line, FCP vs. Avid is a debate that will rage. I use and enjoy them both on an almost weekly basis so I can argue the + an - of both. They are both tools, same buttons, different places. -

Verizon, like virtually all CDMA carriers will not activate a device on their network that was not sold for use on their network.
To activate an iPhone on Verizon it must be purchased either directly from Verizon or from Apple (or an authorized reseller) for use on Verizons network.
On AT&T and all other GSM carrier iPhones (including Unlocked iPhones) the CDMA antenna is disabled.
