Every time I try to access the page, I get a notice thqt Firefox is blocking access.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

If the History sidebar is closed when you close Firefox and doesn't stay closed on the next start then that can be problem with the file localstore.rdf in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete localstore.rdf or rename the file to localstore.rdf.sav in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to test if the file is corrupted.

(caution: do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder)
Note: 
Deleting the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/localstore.rdf localstore.rdf] will reset the customizations of the toolbars to the defaults. 
You can rename "localstore.rdf" to "localstore.rdf.sav" to test if that solves it. 
Then you can restore the customization by copying "localstore.rdf.sav" to "localstore.rdf" if it didn't work.

Something else you can try.
In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Terminal.
chflags nohidden ~/Library/
You will need to do that after any updates.

I have been trying to install firefox but when l get to the setup type, firefox tells me to close firefox to proceed with installation, when l do it ask me if l want to cancel, l want firefox but l can't get it. tell me what to do next.

I want to make sure you're using the auto-update system, because that's the safest most reliable way to go, and it shouldn't appear in the download manager, so I lets make sure you're doing it right.

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

When I open on Mozilla Firefox, several identical items open on bar at bottom of page, when only one is needed, and I can't get rid of them apart from closing the whole lot.

Different tabs used to appear at the top of the page (Yahoo), which I could easily close. This has stopped. When I click on Mozilla Firefox on my desktop, about 6 little boxes appear at the bottom of my page, at least two of them being mozilla, and I can't get rid of them except by closing down the internet. If I go through Talk Talk, (a second email address) and get to Yahoo this way, this doesn't happen, but I always prefer to use Mozilla Firefox.

I have been using firefox for years. I downloaded the latest version and at the conclusion of the down load I was refussed access to the internet. Something about Proxy???? No. After I select "Choose" the dialog box expands to provide only three choices. This is a new bug. I have only seen it in the past week or so, but it is maddening. I have observed that, while the Mozilla Foundation focuses on trivialities like which search engine should be the default, the Firefox application becomes buggier and buggier. Sorry that my guess about what you are using was wrong. How about telling us exactly what you installed to provide that '''auto translate''' feature in Firefox?
If you don't know, give us a list of the extensions that you ''do'' have installed so that we don't have to wildly guess or so we can do an '''''educated guess''''' as to which one isn't working.

When I go to update my apps on itunes, it says my account has been disabled. I've done everything I know to do to no avail. I've changed passwords, I've done it all about a hundred times, but I can't get to the bottom of it...HELP Please :)

I am about to pull my hair out. My itunes account has been disabled............or at least that's what it says everytime I want to update my apps....I can't do it. Then it sends me to a useless web address www.apples.com/itunes/storesupport/forassistance it never helps me. I've changed my password, etc. But I can't get my apps updated or the "Apple" in the sky to fix it...I don't know where to go for customer service....Any suggestions?

I updated the software on my iphone4 tonight and ran into this same endless loop - "itunes terms & conditions have been changed" - go to itunes, aceept - back to the "T&C have been changed message" with no ability to do anything in the app store until I accepted the new terms.
While not a very direct solution, I was able to finally accept the terms in a way that seem to register with apple by making a purchase through iTunes on my computer. This forced me through updating my payment information and updating my iTunes software to the latest edition (which I had not yet taken the time to do). After doing both of these, iTunes took me through the terms & conditions on two separate pages, but ultimately allowed me to purchase my song. Once I completed these steps, it fixed the problem on my phone, so now I can update my apps and download new ones without running into that loop.
