I'm being asked to type my password in constantly for everything I do?

Hello,
I created a new user account when I registered my computer and it is called Tuley, my old user account which I migrated over from my other Mac is called Pink Tuley. So I set the option to log into 3 accounts (two from my old machine and the new user one I created on my new iMac). So my main account from my old machine which I want to use is Pink Tuley so I logged into that one and now no matter what I do the plugsuit app keeps asking for my password on this account. So the account I'm logged into now is called Pink Tuley and let's say the password is apple. The new user account I created called Tuley (let's say the password for that is orange). I have to keep type apple as the password for everything I do.
When the plugsuit app asks for my password I clicked the question mark and saw a topic called changing your keychain password. Is that what I want to do? I just want to stop being asked to type my password in all the time.
Here is a photo of me trying to open the UnRarX app but it happens no matter what I do:

Hi, I use both TM & SuperDuper (2 different EHD's) I copy from SuperDuper (updated daily)(My Home Folder)
iTunes you can enable sharing between computers and transfer that way..Photos from iPhoto Library..dragNdrop
I use my Network, not as fast as FW..but easier on the mind""" I have 4 macs running and my daughter has her macmini..All share via our home network..
When I unpack my mac, I just set up with my email & Apple passwords..After that I repair Permissions then go about transferring. I do though usually run the mac for 24hours before I transfer or add anything..Thankfully I have never had any issues with my Macs, the only problems have been a HD on my 17"intel C2D & the replacement of my 2 laptops (video card issues)
Hope this info helps & your Mac is up & running soon....
ps. don't forget to Authorize the computers..L

  • HT5622 Why I'm I being asked to change my password

Why do I keep being asked to change my password?

    Hi Again cor-el,
I now understand the reason behind the green lock icon, it is for a extra level of security with sensitive sites, which this particular site is.<br />
Having said that, if I follow the instructions, and "temporarily remove autocomplete=off", when I load the site in the future, is the situation going to be: when I load the site it will automatically have already loaded my user and password, so I don't have to do that function? If so, I really don't want that to happen. <br />
With my old computer, when I clicked the bookmark for the site, and entered the site, I just had to click on my user name and firefox entered my user and password. Evidently, firefox remembered those parameters for that site, and all was well. Definitely made that procedure easier. <br />
By doing the procedure in autocomplete=off, will this happen? Or, will the situation be, when I click on the bookmark and load the site, both my user and password will be automatically entered? If that were to occur, I would be giving up too much security for that site. <br />
I just would like my new computer and firefox, to enter that web site (scottrade) like it did before, where all I had to do was click on my user and enter the first character of my user and firefox filled in the of my user and password. Thank you, cor-el.

  • Why am I constantly being asked to enter my password?

All of a sudden I am being asked to enter my password every few hours.  Various applications are asking for it ... Safar, iCloud something or other, calendar agent ... it's getting really annoying and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to STOP IT.
It began after I setup my new iMac and transferred all my info from my "old" iMac.  the old one is still being used and IT'S doing it now as well.
    help!

    Hi DarleenMB,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  You might try using Keychain First Aid to detect and repair any issues with your keychain that may be causing this (this article applies to most versions of the OS including Mavericks):

If the issue persists I would try resetting your Keychain using Keychain Access as described here:

  • Why am i being asked to enter icloud password on ipad a lot?

i changed my icloud password recently and now am regularly being asked to enter my password when on my ipad.  Did i miss a setting?

    Hi JOfromON,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I understand that you have recently changed your Apple ID password, and since then have been getting repeatedly prompted to enter in your password on the iPad.  I'd like you to first sign out of iCloud, and then sign back in with your new information.
On your iOS device: Go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Sign Out (Delete Account in iOS 7 and earlier).
    iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
    Cheers,

  • Updated to ios8 and when asked to type in password to finish setting up iCloud, it resets every time

I Updated to iOS 8. It says welcome I swipe it. It then prompts me to type in my password to finish seating up iCloud. I type in my password and it resets to the beginning. If I select skip this step it does the same thing.

weird, i would try to restore through iTunes and set up as new as a test.

  • Constantly being asked to enter my password on Yahoo

    Hey there,
My hard drive recently hit the three year mark and died on me so I replaced it and reinstalled OS X and all my software. Before this happened, I could click the "keep me signed in" checkbox on Yahoo and I would stay signed in most of the time. (I'm using Safari, by the way.)
Now for some reason clicking that box is completely ineffective. I'm sure it's just some Safari setting that was reset but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I've tried going through all my Preferences trying to figure it out and nothing seems to work.
It's frustrating, because I don't even close my browser. I'll be in my e-mail, then I'll decide to go to facebook (which stays logged in,) then I'll come back to yahoo, and it's already asking me for my password again. I didn't even close the browser! Although I miss my old settings where even if I did close my browser I could still open it up again and I would still be logged in. I'm not worried about security because I'm the only person who uses this computer and it's a pain in the butt to log in over and over and over and over.
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

    Hi and welcome....
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences - Autofill. Make sure user names and passwords is selected.
Now quit Safari (Comman + Q) Open the Keychain Access app (Applications/Utilities) Select Passwords on the left.
    Delete the Yahoo keychain.
Relaunch Safari. Login to Yahoo as usual with your user name and password. You will be prompted to save that data, click Yes.
If you still have problems logging into Yahoo, quit Safari then delete the "Safari Forms Autofill" keychain (Keychain Access again).
Relaunch Safari and login to Yahoo.
And go to Safari / Preferences - Security. Click: Show Cookies. Remove all Yahoo related cookies.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • I am being asked to verify my Apple ID.  When I enter the password I get the message it is wrong.  It says the e-mail address is already verified for another Apple ID and then it says it is sending an e-mail to my e-mail account that I then never receive.

This is most likely caused by an iCloud sign up (which forces you to use an email address as Apple ID).
Here's the workaround fix I found after some online research:

You have to sign out completely in System Preference>iCloud (click 'Sign out') on a Mac, or Settings>iCloud on an iOS device (click 'Delete account' - this will not delete the account from the server). Then sign in with the new password.
Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac or device when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in.

Recently when putting in my password, I am being ask to enter in an additional email address for verification purposes.  I need to know why this is.  I have 1 email address that I use and don't see a reason to create a additional email address.
Can somebody tell me if this is normal?
    Thanks

When I look up the account the "password" is a long string of gobbledygook. Something I would never do.
But when I attempt to use that pw I still can't get in.
I have no trouble accessing that email account on my mac mini. Just on the macbook.

    Maiko,
I'm confess I'm still trying to get a handle on your problem. You do a fantastic job of describing it ... but I'm just trying to picture it accurately in my head.
I think, were I in your shoes, I'd begin by looking at what the debug page has to say for the specific destination in which you're interested in fixing. In other words, I'm not clear on where, exactly, this destination points ...
    Destination illinois.edu.1945806043
Is that your site, or the division within your site that you want to fix? "Normally", you do not need to specify a site handle to get to your site within your transfer CGI ... if you say "uillinois.edu", it's enough to transfer your users to iTunes U ... but every site still has a handle, and you could, if you wanted to, actually specify it in your transfer CGI. For example, this:
    Destination uic.edu.1139051993
is for my entire site ... it's my site handle. Whereas this:
    Destination uic.edu.1991288441
is for a division within my site ... but it's impossible to tell the difference between "site" and "division" from just the handle (I mean, if I didn't say "this is a site" and "this is a division", there'd be no way for you to know). So when I look at your creds and permissions on your debug page, I can't quite tell if they give you download access for your site, or for the specific division you want to fix. If you could open the debug page with your division as destination (or confirm that that's what we're looking at), it'd rule out some things.

  • I'm being asked to enter my ID password on my ipad for icloud, but the email is no longer active and reset remails are not being received.

I'm being asked to enter my ID pswd on my ipad 2 for icloud. but the email address and ID are no longer being used, and reset emails are not being received. How can I deactivate this? I have another ID which works fine, but this issue with the old ID is not allowing me to use my ipad.  thanks.

If your iPad is signed into an old ID and you are trying to change it, if the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.
