I'm can't connect my apple bluetooth keyboard to my pc laptop

I'm trying to connect my apple bluetooth keyboard to my pc laptop, but it fails saying "unknown error ...error code 0x80070015". It the says to contact the device manufactorer for assistance... any ideas out there?

No. It came with my iMac when I bought it 1.5 years ago, but I had also bought the regular wired keyboard for the number keys. I just bought a PC laptop and am trying to match the Apple wireless keyboard with it. (The small size is perfect for the space I have available.) I did change the batteries, but I did notice that the green light showing it is on only stays on for about 15 seconds. Another thing is that most of the time my PC doesn't see it. I have managed to sinc the laptop with the iMac, so at least it doesn't seem to be an anti-Apple issue.

  • My apple bluetooth keyboard is paired with laptop but will not connect.  mouse is working fine.

apple bluetooth keyboard is paired but not connecting to laptop.  mouse works fine.

i am finding it depends greatly on the batteries you put in
I work for a company that produces batteries...ours work, other brands sometimes do not. if they are manufactured just a hair out of spec, they wont connect consistently...
    they must wobble cuasing flucuations
same with the mouse...if you use a bit of blue tack, it holds the batteries in, problems solved
the keyboard is a little different and I cant figure out a macguiver fix

  • 10.6.4 Macbook Pro will no longer connect to Apple bluetooth keyboard/mouse

I installed the 10.6.4 update and my MacBook Pro 17" froze after a while. I rebooted and now the bluetooth will not connect or my Apple wireless keyboard or Mighty Mouse. I can also no longer turn the bluetooth off.
    Anyone else having problems?

Same thing happened to me. I had the same problem updating from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3 also.
I was able to fix it again (in the update from 10.6.3 to 10.6.4) using the same approach:
Look in both /Library/Preferences (the library folder at the root level of your hard drive) and ~/Library/Preferences (the library folder inside your user folder). Delete the file com.apple.Bluetooth.plist from both locations then shut down the computer fully before restarting.
It is important to click shut down (and not just restart). I don't know why, but it won't work if you just click restart.

  • HT4111 Does anyone know how I can restore spell correct, auto correct and auto cap which was lost when I paired my Apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPAD3?

Lost AUTO CORRECT, AUTO CAP and SPELLING CHECK after connecting my Apple Bluetooth keyboard to my iPAD3, updated to iOS 6.1.3, didn't I?. The lost features are in the on  position in settings, aren't they? Anybody out there with a remedy?

Read this ASC discussion that I found by using Google. I don't know if you have seen and if you haven't, it's worth a look.

  • Apple Bluetooth Keyboard under Windows

Guys I can't get the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard to work under windows when I start my MBP in XP...I can discover it and then it pairs with it, but in the end no key will work :/

    From Apple:
Are there any Macintosh features that I should not expect to work when running Windows XP on an Intel-based Macintosh computer?
Even after installling the Macintosh Drivers CD, the Apple Remote Control (IR), Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard or mouse, Apple USB Modem, MacBook Pro's sudden motion sensor, MacBook Pro's ambient light sensor, and built-in iSight camera will not function correctly when running Windows.

  • I have an old Apple bluetooth keyboard I'm attempting to pair to my MacBookPro.  Computer finds the device but can't connect to it.  Tips?

I have an old Apple bluetooth keyboard I'm trying to pair with my laptop.  The computer detects the keyboard but says it's unable to connect.  The keyboard is model no. A1016 and is 5+ years old, at least.  Can anyone advise on this? Is this keyboard obsolete? If so, do you have a favorite keyboard you'd like to recommend?

The ATV only supports bluetooth for keyboards.

  • Apple Bluetooth Keyboard Not Connecting

    Hello,
I have an iPad 3 (model MD340LL/A) given to me by my school and the standard Apple Bluetooth keyboard.  Last year, I used the keyboard with my iPad without a problem.  However, my school collected our iPads over summer and did a software reset on them and set them up with their own system (a few standard apple apps are disabled).  Since I got my iPad back, my keyboard will not connect to it.  The iPad is physically the same one I had last year, but the software was reset.  When I press the power button on the keyboard, the light turns green for around 3-4 seconds and then turns off.  It won't go into discoverable mode where the light starts flashing.  we have tried connecting it to my dad's MacBook, and it sometimes shows up while searching for a device, but any attempt to connect to it ends in a pairing unsuccessful message.  How can I get my keyboard to connect to my iPad?  The iPad is on iOS 7.1, and I know that none of my school's changes to the iPad should affect my keyboard, since they haven't changed from last year when they worked fine.
    Thanks,
      Nihar

Change the battery in the keyboard.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Apple Bluetooth keyboard connection hangs

Hopefully someone has an answer for this: just in the past few days the connection to my Apple Bluetooth keyboard has started to hang.
These are the symptoms: I try to connect it through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant. I can get as far as inputing the pass key and hitting "return", then I get the "congratulations, your device is connected" message. Then immediately after that my connection is lost, and I can no longer input through the keyboard. It's still recognized through the Menu Bar and System Preferences, though.
Battery life is not a problem; System Preferences shows 3 bars. Replacing w/ fresh batteries hasn't helped, either. I've tried both the "enter" and "return" keys after entering the pass key; no dice. I've also tried deleting the device out of System Preferences starting fresh -- again, no results.
This keyboard has been fine all year; my wireless Mighty Mouse is working fine right now. Any ideas? -- Thanks in advance

  • Bluetooth won't connect my Apple wireless Keyboard, Mouse, or Trackpad

    Just as the title says...
    I have a 13" MBP Mid 2009.
On OSX I can connect my Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard (3 battery slim model,) Mighty Mouse, or Magic Trackpad.
Windows 7 detects these devices in the "add device" screen but never gets any further then that when trying to connect with them.
I have installed the bootcamp drivers, and also did the update for them as well.
These devices connect fine in OS X, so why not in windows?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Scott

    SOLUTION:
Put the devices in "Manual paring mode"
    1. Turn device off.
    2. Push and hold in power button until the LED starts flashing on and off.
    3. Try the paring procedure.
    4. It should work.
I went to the apple store and this is what they did. They got the trackpad paired no problem, but the keyboard would refuse to make connection. At first they blamed windows and didn't want to replace the keyboard because it worked fine under OSX. However I made them try one of their keyboards and it paired fine. So they ended up swapping out my keyboard for one of the newer ones and now it pairs with both windows and OSX with no problem!

To my knowledge, no. A Bluetooth device will connect to something that has appropriate BT hardware.

  • I paired my apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad but when trying to connect back to iMac it shows paired but I cannot connect to it

I paired my apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad.  Now I paired it with my iMac it shows paired but I cannot connect to it?

    Hello:
    Try this on your iPad:
    Unpairing a Bluetooth accessory
If you've paired iPad with an accessory that you no longer wish to use, you can unpair the accessory.
From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Bluetooth. If Bluetooth isn't on, turn it on.
Choose the accessory and tap Unpair.

Can I connect my Apple TV to the Blu-Ray using an HDMI/ USB adapter?
If you can find such a thing.  I really doubt that exists since USB is a data connector not a video connector.
would allow me to run the audio through my stereo.
That would depend on this adapter.
