I'm creating a PDF form and want to include faded text to show an example of what I want people to fill in. Much the same as a search bar in a web browser - this needs to disappear when they click in the field to fill in their details. How do I do this?

I was wanting to create a form that would show sample information in a watermark effect that would diappear once the field was clicked onto.
Example form question and field below:
Rather than the blank fields I wanted them to show some examples (in faded text) but which dispeears once the field is clkicked into (nuch the same as a web search online works)
Anyone know if this is possible?

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

If you created it in Forms Central, you have to edit it there. I believe Forms Central is similar to LiveCycle Designer in that the form created is no longer able to be edited in Acrobat. I might be wrong, but that is my understanding. You add the submit button in Forms Central. Within Acrobat, you should be able to go to the forms menu and Manage Data to save the data to an Excel file. Others better with forms should be by to clarify things, but this should get you started. In the future you might find it better to post a forms question in the forms discussions.

Interestingly, it appears you did manage to get your podcast accepted in the Store - if you did this with an .html feed I'm a bit surprised it worked. I wonder whether you started with an .xml URL and it got changed by accident?
If you did manage to get the Store to accept a feed with an .html extension then you will need to change its attention to the revised version of the feed. This will mean that you will have to leave the present feed where it is, upload a version with the correct extension (having checked it works) and then add the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag to the incorrect feed as described in this page:

Of course if you managed to change the extension by accident then changing it back should do the job.

When in the itunes program I can be moving around in my library and itunes
when choosing a song or songs, choosing file, edit, etc,. whatever command I
choose it just suddenly stops. I can issue five commands and watch each one
respond in 30 second to two minute intervals. I can issue several commands,
even shutting down, and it will do all but takes several minutes to do so.
My itunes program was working fine when this problem suddenly arose.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I came up with an alternative solution.
Instead of actually trying to move the JInternalFrame from one JDesktopPane to another, I added a single, maximized JInternalFrame to the left side. When one of the right side frames is to be docked, I merely copy its ContentPane to the single JInternalFrame on the left, set the original to be non-visible, and adjust the properties of the JSplitPane to make the "docked" frame appear.
When the "close" button on the docked frame is pressed, I simply undo this procedure to "undock" the frame and redisplay it on the right-hand side (with its content intact from the docked frame, but in its original position).

OATS - Browser is not getting launched when I click on the record button.

I've just installed Oracle Application Testing Suite in my machine. During the installation process I was intimated that the EmpAppServer in the installation path does not contain the jboss binaries. However, it allowed me to continue with the installation.
I've installed the OATS and the OpenScript. I need to record scripts for a web application. Now when I click on the record button, the browser is not being launched. I don't get any error message too. I'm not sure if this issue has got anything to do with jboss.
Can someone please help me out?

Try to run the batch files in the OpenScript directory to disable and re-enable the browser helpers. Which browser do you have OpenScript set to launch, IE or FF? Which version of IE and FF are installed on your machine?

Multiclip angle disappears when I click on the file

I've created a multiclip of two video angles and one sound source. When I click on the clip in the event browser, the angles show up properly in the angle viewer. But when I clip on the display at the top of the event browser, only one video angle shows up.
And when move the clip to the storyline for editing, it's also missing.
This is driving me crazy! I've already trashed the prefs. This has never happened before.
-- all clips play fine separately.
-- all clips sync properly
-- same video clip disappears each time.
Any thoughts?

Here's a screen grab of that angle sitting in the timeline by its lonesome. It just doesn't like to be part of a multiclip and I can't figure out why.

Create a PDF form and 1/2 the people can't submit

I create a Acrobat Pro 9 form. In it I created a submit button. I then I uploaded to my acrobat.com account to track response. 1/2 the people have been able to submit it without any problems. So it is working. The other half say when they hit the submit button it does nothing. I have made sure they are using Reader 9 or higher. What else could be the issue?

I installed Firefox v. 3.6.15 on 3/21/2011. Since then Firefox crashes and closes completely when I click on certain e-mails in my inbox. How can I fix this?

I get a window that says "Firefox quit unexpectedly". When I click on "Reopen" I get a window that says "Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. There are no 'Crash ID(s), because my desktop goes back to the homepage because Firefox completely closes. Does anyone have instructions on how to correct this?

When I Import a file of movies, the previous "Last Import" pictures "disappear". They don't get transferred to "Last 12 months". How can I cure this ?

Also when inporting a file of photos, it says the photos are already existing. Well, if they are, I can't find them ! So I select the "Import" button.

Likely that CD then. Check visually for damage, blemishes, etc., not that there's anything you can really do about those other than return the CD.
The drive sits there and spins because it is trying to re-read the CD. iTunes has error correction which is contributing to all this re-reading, I believe, and you may be able to disable that in preferences if you aren't picky about the result.
You can also try other rippers such as Max or XLD. I know those have configurable error correction. I like XLD but it is slightly tricky to use until you find that for some reason the author has put all settings under preferences, not just the set once and forget ones.

JMenu fails to disappear when user clicks outside the JMenu................

I have implemented a JMenu within a JMenuBar everything runs fine. However, with this application and with all others I have seen when you click a JMenu leaving it open and then click anywhere on the title in Windows the JMenu remains open. Windows native programs dont do this and it is just a nuisance for a user to go and disable the JMenu by clicking it again.
Does anyone have a solution for this.

As this new feature works... say you have a JInternalFrame you want to be "modal" well cause they are lightweight, that is inpossible. SO now you can set a JDialog to unDecordated() and implement the JInternalFrame paint methods, and produce a "JInternalFrame" that is "modal" (just an example) i just the "setUndecorated(false);" in my JXcalendar popup, it works bette rthan JWindow, cause it listens for all window events.

All my files have a ? on top when I click it "item cannot be found " comes up. How to I fix this.

The search can certainly dredge up a lot of results in sub-sub folders.
If I search for say 'screen shot' then I see the more obscure results with Spotlight from the menu bar, but not if from the search in a Finder window, which seems to restrict itself to Desktop/Documents etc unless 'This mac' is selected instead of 'All my files'
