facebook still has sounds from videos, anyone know how to turn it off in this phone? Galaxy note 4? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry your phone is still paying sounds after you have turned them off powchutu. Select Apps > Settings> Sound > Volume > & adjust the following
• Ringtone
• Music, video, games and other media.
• Notifications
• System
Please let me know if you are able to adjust all the sound settings.

VOX: Sound turn off after 60-90 seconds

After 60 - 90 seconds, sound turn off, video is ok. Pls help me. I am woking on Notebook HP ze5470us. I've tried changing many things but always is the same.

After rebooting again with the MSI VOX2.0 card unplugged, I plugged it in and Windows "found new hardware" and offered to search for a driver for it. I allowed that to go forward and got a warning from Windows that the driver was not signed or approved. I allowed it to install anyway, but there is still the same problem. I don't know how to verify that the new driver was the one picked and installed by Windows, or if it could be still the original one that was on the install CD supplied with the MSI VOX2.0.
I noticed that a no-audio problem was mentioned as fixed in the ReleaseNote.txt file included in the msipvs_8609.zip file, but I'm not sure they're talking about the same no sound after the first minute problem.
I can't find anything else about this anywhere.
Anybody solve this problem yet or have an idea where to find help?
Yes I think I found the problem. It seems that only laptop users have this problem. I also had this problem with the vox connected on my laptop. Sound simply switches off after about 30 seconds. Reading the forum I found out that the problem only appears with laptop users. I tried it on my desktop pc and the problem disappeared.
The problem can be solved by disconnecting all other usb devices that draw current from the usb port. I did this and since then the vox is working correctly for hours now. It is a pitty that we are not helped by MSI. I would expect that they know how much current the vox draws and that it is critical.

First is your volume turned up and not muted?
Also check system preferences/sound/sound effects, make sure play sound effects thru internal speakers is checked, make sure alert volume is turned up (not all the way down), Play user sound effects id checked.

All sound shuts off

Ihave a problem where all sound shuts off and restarting does not necessarily fix it. Applicatins work, but can't talk on phone. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a heating issue or something else?

apparently you are restarting the phone incorrectly.
to reset the phone press and hold the sleep button and home button at the same time until you see a silver apple. DO NOT slide to turn off at the screen prompt, just keep holding those buttons until you see the apple.

When the sound turns off on my macbook and my macbook pro, the miniplug stereo port emits a an enormous 'pop', i.e. wildly uncontroled load leading to noise. Goundline hum follows. I am running OS 10.6.6. I have noted previous threads noting the same problem on OS 10.4.x and 10.5.
How do I stop my mac from trying to ruin my stereo and speakers every time I connect them?

You don't say which year you have, however...
...there are known problems with the mid-2010 models (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US) as well as early and late 15" 2011 models (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4766577?tstart=0).
Apple has taken ownership of the problems with the 2010 model but, unfortunately, the free logic board replacement for that model has probably long expired for you - three years after date of purchase.
One the 2011 models Apple has admitted no defect. You'll just have to skim the articles to get an overview of the problems that people are having (usually showing up as screen glitches at first and then going downhill from there).

I just updated to 7.1 and I am having the same problem. From the home screen, I don't hear text sounds. If I open the imessage app then you hear it, from home screen you don't. Rebooted once... no help.

Select the Notifications tab clear out anything that shows there.
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Preferences
Select the Email Notifications Preferences tab
Set the values as you like
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Manage Email Notifications
delete any that show
Steps 4 & 7 seem to be the same, they are not. Make sure you do all of the steps.

"show all videos" turned off - still shows some icloud videos...

I have "show all vidoes" turned off on my iPad but *some* TV shows that I have not synced / downloaded still show up (with the little icloud icon).
Not all... just some... I'm thinking maybe the ones that have unplayed episodes? I'm not sure why some show and others don't.
I assume this is a bug....

Let it cool and then reset it... press the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Time machine is turned off but my startup disk keeps filling up with backup files on a hidden volume.

When Time Machine was turned on, the destination was set to an external drive. I was completely confused about what was happening until I used Houdini to reveal the hidden volume. Boot in safe mode. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.

Does your boot volume continue to fill up? Use the above tool to explore the volume and find out where the space is going.
