I'm doing EVERYTHING it says and it still says router is not connected!WRT54G V5
Im doing exactly what it says, the cord connecting the modem to the router is in the internet slot and the cord connecting the router to the computer is in slots 1-4 and it still says that no router was detected! What's going on?!
does the led on the computer nic light up and what color is it if it does ?
also does the led on the router for the port your computer is connected to light up showing there is a nic connected ?
if not, double check the wireing on the cable you connection with.
the leds on both must light up if the connection is correct.

I am having pretty much the same issue.
Got a new modem Arris SB6141 and a new Airport Extreme ME918LL/A. Activated with my ISP (Comcast). Worked with a savy tech who knew the modem and Airport Extreme. Ensured all items were correct from the ISP side.
I follow the instructions as indicated for Airport Extreme by it fails to detect the internet and dns servers. Comcast suggested I call apple. Reading posts above I will:
-Reset the airport extreme
-Unplug the modem for 30min
Airport Utility 6.3.4 (634.17)
Airport Extreme ME918LL/A Firmware Version 7.7.3
MBP - Yosemite Mid 2012

I am trying to get my "Find my Iphone" app to work and after I sign in with my apple id and password, it keeps telling me Im not connected to the internet. I click "try again" and it does nothing. I double checked that I am connected to my local wi-fi and not sure what else to do. Help!!

This could be the connection you use, may be is your internet connection could block this sites...
iF i'm on vpn the appstore didn't work, so this could be your problem too... is a proxy like problems.... this happend -
When I check the settings the wi-fi says it's not connected so I follow the symbol > and then the wi-fi says it's ON and I see my network name. Does this mean that I'm connected to my wi-fi or not? I'm also set up on a Network.
If it says you are not connected, then you are in fact not connected. The symptoms you described, for example, would appear if your router were working correctly but you entered an incorrect network (WPA or WPA2) password and therefore failed to sign on to your network.
You might try clicking the white arrow in the blue circle next to your network name and choosing "Forget this network". Then reset your iPhone by holding the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then see what happens when your network appears. -
When I open itunes the store will not open nor will it let me sign in trouble shooting says I am not connected to internet ... I am connected.
This is the appropriate behavior.. Most email programs (browsers too) store attachments (or files) in a cache area. You then need to do a save as to more them to a different location. The plug-in is finding the pdf in the location determined by the email program, so that is the last place the plug-in used. It doesn’t have a different location to use.

I have a 4th gen. Itouch wiht IOS4 and i want to update it, but when i click the update button in ITunes it says "contacting IPod software server" and it looks like it is loading. However, after about 5 seconds it stops and says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod software server". I found the apple webpage that is supposed to help me, but when i went to the LAN settings in the control panel i found that 'Automatically detect settings" was already checked. I do not know what to do, Please help.
If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Why does the "find my iphone" ap say i'm not connected to the internet when i clearly am?
I can see web pages, update facebook status, tweet, etc. but this ap says i'm not connected to the internet (wifi and Verizon LTE). Also, why does the podcast ap say its unable to authorize to automatically update my podcasts (which automatically download to my mac book pro every day without a problem)?
Go here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
and confirm that it's set to the correct country for your account. If it is, try signing out of your account and back in.

Firefox is a web browser not a homepage.
It sounds like you you have the old www.google.com/firefox/ start page that used to be the default homepage in Firefox before Firefox 4.0 sometime. It is not being maintained by Google anymore so either ignore the message or while in Firefox go to Tools->Options->General->Homepage section and change your homepage. -
This an IPOD I bought used. Everything else works fine. It syncs to my computer and plays my music but will not connect to the USB interface in my car. My wife's IPOD, which seems to be identical, works fine. I should say it connects but then immediately disconnects. Any ideas?
Then my last suggestion is to Reset it, while connected to the BMW Audio.
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

Hi guys, I downloaded this new iOS7.1 but it always fails to install. It says I am not connected to the Internet while I have all the network and second excuse it gives is that the software update is currently unavailable. Please help.

Hook your phone up to iTunes on the computer you sync with and do your update from there. This is a robust iOS release, and doing it OTA is not always successful. I tried on my iPhone a couple of times, and it aborted the update twice. Did it via the Mac, and it was fine.
It takes a bit of time, so hook it up, make sure it is updating your phone, and then find something else to do for a couple of hours.
