I'm downloading a game from the app store, when it was finished the file was damaged/corrupt...
I am downloading Empire: Total War from the App Store, it's a 12gb download, I have it hooked up to wired internet and let it go all night downloading. When it was finished I went to install the game and when I clicked on it it said something about "damaged file" or "corrupt" and "please re-download from the app store"
I really don't want to spend another 12 hours downloading this giant game. Any advice or suggestions as to why it happened?

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
Step 2
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply. -

It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).

I was really dissapointed when i found out that we can only download from the sa app strore . The selection of apps in sa is really poor and we cant even download any games ... I know that there is a way around it but it conflicts with the term of use. When will we have acces to a wider selection of apps as i am really ****** that we cant get any games in sa ... If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk since the app is 15.51GB.
Click your Apple menu icon. From the drop down menu click About This Mac then select Storage from the menu.
Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space. -

Trying to download game purchase (Company of Heroes) from App Store. Failed in mid-download several times. Aspyr Customer Services have shown me how to repair Disk Permissions, but still won't download... any suggestions, please?

I did use Energy Saver settings, and I did check downloading another app. Last night I tried another download of Company of Heroes, got up to 4GB before bedtime, woke up this morning to find another "error has occurred" message. Extremely frustrating. Have used most of my monthly data allowance on abortive downloads. Maybe Apple made a mistake in relying on huge data downloads. DVDs more reliable!

Thanks but this IS a carrier problem, hence the "not available on your carrier". Sony directs you to verizon when you want to know why it doesn't work.... So verizon, why doesn't it work?
