I'm downloading the trial of Creative Cloud, but am getting an error from downloading Illustrator. "Update Failed." I click Retry and I just get the same message
I have successfully downloaded the trial of InDesign and Photoshop, but the trial of illustrator errored. It says update failed. I have tried to hit Retry a number of times but am getting the same thing. Any advice would be appreciated.
Gw17 I would recommend reviewing the installation log file to determine why the update has failed. Thanks.I stumbled upon the solution. In addition to downloading Creative Cloud, I needed to go back to the website and download trials for the programs I want to use--Photoshop and Lightroom. Once I did that, I was in business. Would save trouble if that was made clear on the download site.

Uninstall the trial version of the creative cloud. This process will not interfere with your catalog, preferences and personal files it will just remove the application.
Download the Perpetual License version of LR 5.6 at the link below. Install and enter your serial number, voila.

I've tried downloading a trial for creative cloud with photoshop, but when I install it, it says that it's not compatibe anymore with windows vista is. Is there another way such as installing windows 8.1 etc?

If you are using Windows Machine, just click on Start button and start typing CC, you will see all your downloaded Creative Cloud application there.
And in case of Mac, at the top right corner, there is a magnefying glass caled as Spotlight. Click on it and start typing CC, it will show your downloaded Creative Cloud apps, there.

Page 4 of 6 of the actual library storing apps has frozen; effects all apps on that page-all other pages are fine and accessible just not the apps on this page; wont even toggle and give the option to delete when i hold down on a an app. Any ideas?

When an application asks for a serial it means that the application can't see your subscription .Please verify this points :
1 - Clean hosts file from Adobe entries ( Already checked ).
2 - You're connected with a wrong email address .(verify this on CC desktop preferences menu .
3 - Your opm file is corrupted > close CC desktop and delete opm.db from ( Don't let it on the trash ) :
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
4 - You bought a subscription for english only and you install it in another language ( you must have a multi language subscription in this case ).
5 - You have an internet connection behind a proxy that blocks the applications ( If you don't have a proxy ,verify on your browser ( safari or IE ) and uncheck all proxy options )

Problems downloading free trial of creative cloud
i cannot download the free trial version of creative cliud on my imac. each time i try i get an error message to check my internet connectivity and firewall settings. i do not believe i have any firewall as this is a new imac bought only 3 days ago and my internet connectivity is fine as i can download other programmes and have no problem browsing web pages.
please can someone help as i am worried that if i purchase a subscription the same thing will happen.

Have you tried downloading any other file from internet to check if this problem is just with Adobe Creative cloud or other files as well. Also, to start please try the below step:
This error might come if the files are not able to access certain files, please try and download in the Root user on your iMac.
