ITunes deleting my music and refusing to copy my voice files I noticed it's easy to transfare photo's why not voice messages??? I need something different.. everytime my IPhone plugs into ITunes it never works and loses all it albums

Perhaps, what diesel vdub is "saying" is; ask a question about how to achieve what you want - instead of posting comments which tell all and sundry (that's us) that you will never be happy, no matter what we suggest and that all you want to do is bash Apple. (And that is precisely what your post does say!)
So - reading between the lines of your missive, I wonder if you have the following problems?:
When you connect your iPhone to iTunes, all the content is removed.
Voice memos, that you've created on your iPhone are not transferred to iTunes at Sync time, or possibly, they are, but you simply don't know where to look for them.
... because everytime my IPhone plugs into ITunes it never works is less use than a chocolate teapot. It tells us nothing useful. At least the teapot can be eaten.
We wait with baited breath, for your reply. Once we have one, someone here should be able to help.
On the other hand, if we never hear from you again (a possibility I can probably safely put money on), I suppose the two people who have marked your question as "I have this question too" will be very disappointed. (Mind you, neither of them were signed in when they marked the post, so they'll never find this thread again. So if you were only interested in helping other people, rather than yourself, feel free to not reply.)

I'm fed up with iTunes, I need a media player that won't erase my music!

iTunes has erased all my music twice now (I never clicked a button, I did nothing at all out of the ordinary, no messages popped up, nothing. When I e-mailed the problem, they sent me some bullcrap e-mail back stating that all the music that I bought from them will be returned. No reason, no explanation, just an automatic message trying to goad me into buying overpriced crap music from iTunes) I'm sick of it, I'm fed up. When I plugged in my iPod my computer froze so I had to restart it, I plugged it in again and turned off automatic updates. Turns out that iTunes doesn't know what that means so it updates my iPod anyways, go figure. So all my songs on my iPod are gone as well. It's really starting to make a CD player look good now.
So my question is, before I decide to start cussing out some of the people at iTunes, is there another media player that I can download (for free, preferably) that will update my iPod?

okay, where or how else can you get music files on and off your ipod? cause there has got to be a better way to do this? i already subcribe to pay sites for my downloads and i am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to import files into folders or playlists on itunes to get them on my kids nanos and my shuffle. i don't want to have to buy songs from the itunes store at 99 cents apiece when i have a yearly subscribtion already with another service, not to mention a large library of files already on my hard drive. you should not be limited to using strictly apple downloads. i mean for what we are paying for the players themselves compared to other mp3 players they should be compatible with some other software for transferring songs. am i off base here??

I have loved iTunes for years but have finally reached my breaking point. Too many lost songs
and having to reload all my old music from cds has gotten old. Has to be something better out there.

These are a few free alternatives to iTunes (March, 2014). There may be others, including commercial DJ software. You should review them but I doubt any offer syncing support to Apple i-devices.

IM FED UP WITH ITUNES... I NEED HELP (DOWNLOADING 7.6)

I've tried to download the newest version of itunes 7.6 on my DELL windows XP computer at least 50 times. It takes me strait to the thank you page without downloading anything. I've tried multiple ways of trying to downloading this, considering I just bought a new ipod nano that requires the newest itunes.

It's more likely an issue with popup blockers than anything else. I always disliked having toolbars on my web browser on my PC, so my personal recommendation is to uninstall them, but you can do as you wish. At best, see if you have an option to either show the blocked popups, or disable the blocker so that you can start the iTunes download. Alternatively, if you have other browsers installed on your PC such as Firefox or Safari for Windows, you can try to use that to download iTunes. I've heard of Kaspersky before... never used it... you can always try to temporarily disable it as well, especially if it has popup blockers built in to it. But I'm reasoably certain a popup blocker is your culprit.

I am FED UP with iTunes

Each month it seems I have had to have my computer connect back up with the iTunes library because of some stupid numbered error. iTunes crashes, I have to restart. It gives me an error and I have to got through the steps of reconnecting the application with my library. Then the iTunes Match putzes around and doesn't match up my music that I bought from Apple and therefore I cannot get the songs onto my iPhone.

I don't think it has anything to do with the connection. As long as I have been keeping my music and media on a seperate drive it has worked fine except in the past month or two. I hope it's not a Mountain Lion issue.
If it is a "bad file", how would I know? I have run Disk Utility on that drive and it says the drive is fine. Could it be the external hard drive is damaged? I would hate to buy a new hard drive, transfer all of the media and then still have the same problem. I have about 500 GB of music and movies.

HT1351 I can't get my recently added songs to synch to my iPod gen 7. I also can't find Genius in the Store to turn it on. I am totally fed up with iTunes :(

Fed up with iTunes Match. Only 90% matched.

So I have lots of music ripped from my huge CD collection. I was incredibly impressed with iTunes Match when it was released. Sure, it was slow, but it did indeed add lots of music to the cloud and find lots of my CD music. Very impressive.
But here's the problem - after all this time I still have around 10% of my library unmatched. And not unmatched as in "error" or "ineligible". Unmatched as in "waiting". Waiting for what?
This has been the case for months. There is no consistency in file format, artist, length, bitrate, date added, release date, etc etc. I even have some CDs where some tracks are available in iTunes Match and some are not (usually stuck in "waiting" state). I even until recently had music I'd bought from iTMS that was unmatched!
Having songs randomly missing from albums on my iPhones and iPods and iPads is ruining my music experience. I have now lost count of the number of times I've thought "Oh! I've not listened to ALBUM for ages!" only to find it either not available at all or not available fully in iTunes Match.
Is everyone having the same poor experience or is it just me? I mean, iTunes Match is a revolutionary and brilliant concept, but because it's so unreliable it's usefulness is dramatically reduced (as in, it can't be relied on, making it largely pointless).
Sorry to be so negative but iTunes Match needs to work 100% to be replace traditional syncing for reliability.

PS Please do not try to diagnose a problem with my setup. There are none at my end - I've tried re-encoding to MP3 or AAC and adding those to get a match, all without success. I've tried pretty much all the stuff suggested on here and still am 10% short. I have 1990 "waiting" items of 21693 items. That's a huge gap.

I have very similar, very frustrating problems with iTunes match. I have reasonably fast 802.11n WiFi and fast low latency internet connection... 10-30 ms... 55-75 mbps down, 10-12 mbps up. I have the same results when not using WiFi.
I have a large collection of songs that have been remixed that are not in the iTunes store. These cannot be matched and are therefore uploaded.
Yesterday I uploaded an 88 track Razormaid! remix compilation, 11 tracks at a time from 8 CDs. I encode AAC. I would run match after each disk import until each disk was successful. It often takes iTunes match MULTIPLE match passes on each disk to successfully upload each track. Occasionally some tracks get flagged as ERROR in the iCloiud status column and I need to manually flag the track to update in iTunes match.
These 88 tracks use 5.52 gb in iTunes. I have 6154 tracks total using 62.34 gb.
Uploading these 88 tracks was almost an ALL DAY process and seems to require lots of supervision. I have managed to get ALL of my tracks uploaded but it takes a tremendous amount of patience.
Now I'm finding that dowloading these uploaded non matched tracks to my devices is extremely slow.
ALSO... super frustrating... if you ever change your cover art... iTunes match may not let that occur. I have had my cover art revert back to the original art I originally uploaded AND revert it back in iTunes... overwriting my more recent change to the iTunes master. Process: I change the art then manually run the iTunes match update.... Sometimes the art takes... sometimes it doesn't.... sometimes it updates the devices, sometimes it doesn't. Arrrgggg....
They need to smooth out the upload process for unmatched songs.... When the upload process fails it shouldn't have to start the entire 3 step process over.... Improve the speed for downloads... Fix the cover art update process.
Fix these and it will be a teriffic service!

Just updated Itunes to 11.1.4.62 and no longer synchs to iphone. Did reinstall, removed old itunes, rebooted, rebooted phone, stopped ipod service, started ipod service. Every variation fails to show iphone 4s in new itunes update. Really getting fed up with itunes and updates that cause more drama than benefits. If this continues I will switch to Android Windows 8, not vista as listed below

Cannot connect to itunes store Please help me sniff sniff..

yet again I have had to upgrade my itunes to a newer version and it has completely killed my connection to itunes store. I have tried everything, reinstalling, switching off my antivirus, switching off my firewall, replacing the host file it goes on and on. The only thing I have not tried is to delete everyhting I can find with the name itunes in it as I don't want to mess up my playlists etc.. Can anyone suggest anything?

Can't Run ITunes 10.5..get error!

I have tried to update the Itunes 10.5 about 15 times with no success. I can download itunes 64 setup.exe with no problem, however when I try to run the program, it will start and get to the second "copying new files" then stop. It will do a "rollback" and then give a message" Error incurred during installation" Try again!
I am running Windows 7, 64bit, I have removed the older version of Itunes, deleted temp internet files (per Apple's suggestion), disabled my internet security, turned off my antivirus.
I am at a loss....any help will be appreciated

I also have the same problem on Win 7 64 bit and iTunes 10.5.2.11. I thought it was my upgrade to avg 2012 as per other posts, so I went through all the tasks to enable the ports so it would work. It did for a little while. Now it won't work long enough to get updated apps, without freezing.
I am (was) a big fan of apple and even had a heated discussion over the benefits of apple's restrictive practice, but I do not have the time to spend fixing iTunes. Apple need to make iTunes stable and very soon!
I just upgraded from the iPhone 3GS to a 4S and may just take it back and switch to another phone. I'm fed up with iTunes crashes and freezes.
I have an iPAD attached a macbook and that has no issues at all. That has Lion o/s and iTunes 10.5.2.11 too. So this is a problem with the windows version only. Fix it apple and don't take weeks to release a new fixed version or you will lose many customers.

Why wont the iTunes store load in my iTunes?

Hi, my name is Garrett and i am a 13 year old boy why loves music and cant get his itunes to work. i have tried completely wiping my computer clean then reloading windows 7 then reloading all my files and last installing a freash new version of itunes, and jst today i updated to 10.6 or something like that, but it still had the same problem. i have a 3.5 year old dell inspiron laptop with an intel pentium prossesor and to my knowlage this has nothing to do with it. so iTunes opens just fine but when i attempt to open the itunes store it just has that striped loading line at the tope of the page that jst keeps going and going and going and never stops. i left my computer on for an intire day to prove to my self that i either have the slowest computer on earth or iTunes store doesn't work. so i tried opening it through my Quicktime player and it had the same problem exept when i closed the window and error came up and the number was 11222. all i need is for iTunes to work otherwise i am stuck to only lisening to music from other websites and not on the go. i am fed up with iTunes not working and them taking down that "email the support guy" thing and the fact that they left some of us in the dust not knowing what to do. if someone could please help that would be great:) if not...well then ill have to wait till i get a job and can earn enough money to buy a new computer.

Cannot Burn or import music from itunes

every time i open itunes i get a pop up that tells me that i must reinstall itunes before i will be able to burn or import music.
i have gone round and round with tech support trying to figure out why i can no longer burn discs. i was told that my internal cd/dvd drive must have gone bad and that i needed a new one. i went and purchased one, an external drive, and STILL CANNOT BURN OR IMPORT MUSIC! I can copy CDs and DVD from my internal drive so i now know that my drive is not bad and that the issue is not with my computer it is with itunes. my question is how do i get itunes to recognize that i do infact have a working drive? and if i cannot burn music from itunes how can i get it somewhere else on my computer so i can?
i am SO fed up with itunes and am about to just give up on it completely!

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

Music skipping on itunes

My itunes play back is horrible. my music is skipping and i know that it isnt my actual files. how do i fix it?!

Lol mine does this too maybe this is what apple calls quality. I my self am fed up with itunes. As soon as I figure out how to get my music into widows media player it is going bye bye. My problem among others is it will not let me burn to a disk. At least you only have the wonderfully skippy thing that is what quality music is all about.
