I'm getting a blue tint when I print a certain paper

Recently I noticed that when I print on a certain paper (Epson Premium Ultra Luster Photo Paper) that a blue tint is being printed on the paper along with the image. This seems to be occurring whether I use a standard .icc file or a customized .icc file for this paper. Am using Adobe CS5 to manage colors, rendering intent relative colorometric. Am using an iMac with 10.6.8. and Epson 3880 printer. The only thing I can think that changed is I upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 a few months back. If you look along the sides of the image below you can see what I'm getting.
Just for the heck of it, I just printed the same image with Photoshop Elements 9, and I am not getting this blue cast.

This is not going to help you, but I have never liked printing direct from Photoshop.  I use a Canon 9000 Pro, which came with an application called Easy Photo Print Pro, which other than being a ting bit more work to print an exact size, always gets colour how light/dark the print is, spot on every time.
I see Epsom have updated their guides to include PS CC.  I wonder if they have updated paper profiles.

  • My display color shifts to a blue tint when opening photoshop and bridge with Yosemite

The display on my mac book pro color shifts to a blue tint when opening Photoshop CS6.  Any suggestions on how to maintain the current color profile?  My photography work is dependent on proper display calibration.  Thank you

First open the Universal Access preference pane and in the 'seeing' tab, make sure that the slider for 'enhance contrast' is all the way to the left. Next, open the Displays preference panel and click on the 'color' tab. The click the 'calibrate' button. This will take you through a color/brightness/contrast set up procedure that may eliminate the problem.
There are two options in the calibration process, standard, which is the default option and has fewer adjustment screens, and expert, which is selected by checking the box for it on the first calibration screen and offers more adjustments. You can't do any harm with either since any settings you create can be discarded, or profile(s) you save can be deleted or ignored if necessary.
This won't necessarily resolve the problem, but if not, then it would indicate that there's an issue with the hardware - possibly just the connector on the back of the system, which needs to be fastened really tightly. If you can't readily resolve this, since your system is so new, I'd then suggest you call Apple.

  • Why do I get faint horizontal lines when I print from elements 12 mac

why do I get faint horizontal lines when I print from elements 12 mac

    Hi Ben,
I can't reproduce that behavior.  The only two things I can think of at the moment are (1) you accidentally added a shortcut as a panel shortcut instead of a diagram shortcut or (2) the name of the object you specified isn't for the "Multiply" node, but for some other node (you said "Multiplication" in your initial post) that can only be dropped in certain places (i.e. maybe it's a node that is only valid in Simulation diagrams).  Can you post the following lines from your LabVIEW INI file so I can look into it further:
    QuickDropDiagramShortcuts
    QuickDropPanelShortcuts
    Let me know,

    Edit:  Yeah, what he said.

When I print on photo paper it only prints in black and white. How can I fix this?

Does it print correctly on plain paper?
What do you do differently to print on Photo Paper than to print on plain paper?
iPhoto has no idea of what paper is being printed - that is totally a function of the printer and the print driver supplied with the printer - you need to look at the printer specific options and your printer manual and/or support forums

  • Blue screen, blue on startup, blue tint when running, still works, not BSOD

I have a 3rd Gen 32GB Ipod touch.  I don't use it all that often.  It is in near perfect condition beside one little dent in the back it suffered over a year ago.  I have  never had a problem with it and it was off for probably a month or so and one day I turned it on and when it is coming on there is a bright blue screen with the white apple logo.  A couple of times it went back to the normal black background on startup with no problems while running but now it is blue everytime on startup and there is like a blue tint in the background the whole time it is on.  I have restored it, messed with the brightness, nothing works.  The ipod is fully functional, no problems there.  But I can't get the annoying blue hue to go away.  Please Help.

If you restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and still have the same problem without installing anything you very likely have a hardware problem and the iPod needs repair.

When I print using Macbook and Adobe Elements 12 on Canon 100Pro, do not get true color.  When I download a photo and print from the download, I get true color.  Where do I start to fix issue?  It appears to be a Photoshow issue rather than Macbook or Canon 100 Pro.

  • Using windows 7, how do I get my Officejet Pro K8600 to print to 13x19 paper?

I purchased a laptop with Windows 7. Now I cannot get my Officejet Pro K8600 to print correctly to 13x19 paper. It prints onto 13x19 paper but everything is 8.5 x 11 in size. I click print, click properties, change the paper to Super B 13x19, hit ok, the box shows the 13x19 paper with the images filling the paper, I click ok for it to print and it prints the image 8.5 x 11 in size on the 13x19 paper instead of filling the 13x19 paper. I did not have this trouble (and still don't) with my old laptop with XP. Is it the operating system or is it a wrong setting in properties? I have tried to compare the properties settings in both computers, but I cannot find any differences. I don't think it's the driver....please help!
    This question was solved.

    Hello HW,
Try this: go to Devices and Printers and right-click on the Officejet Pro K8600 and click on Printer Properties. Go to the tab called Advanced and click on the button called Print Processor. Select Winprint and click OK. Try another printout and see if it works now. If you still see the same issue see if there's a scaling option on the print dialogue in the application you're printing from.

  • Why do I get a blue screen when I use the NIDAQ driver.

    I get IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
Address fc792324 has base at fc6f8000 Nidaq32.sys and Address fc7028e3 has base at fc6f8000 Nidaq32.sys.
The system is running on Windows NT 4.0. The application is built using Application Builder and LabView 5.1.1. The NIDAQ 6.9.0 is used.
    Please help me.

    uffe:
    You seek...Yoda...Help you...I...will..
This is a kernel mode problem with your NIDAQ32.SYS driver. I believe
that you can pretty much rule out problems with LV5.1.1 or app
    builder. Your problem
You have run into a classic BSOD message. It may not always occur so
it can be really frustrating to diagnose. There may be some
workarounds you can implement at the application level but it still
needs to be fixed at the kernel (O/S) level so you're going to need to
    contact NI.
I've had this same problem error message in the past but not with DAQ
cards. As I recall, in one case there was a problem with a spinlock
in the SCSI driver (.sys) file which protected access to the hardware
    I was using.
What is a spin lock? A spin lock is a special synchronization
construct used by device driver developers to protect access to
critical sections of their code usually for hardware access. It is
the kernel mode equivalent to a VISA resource lock or a semaphore in
    LabVIEW.
For more on spin locks see:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/kmarch/hh/kmarch/k101_97hu.asp
Work-around Possibility #1: Do you have two different parts of your
code trying to access the DAQ card simultaneously? If so, providing
your own VISA resource locks or semaphores at the application level
may cure the problem even if the kernel mode driver is failing to
protect access to the card like it should.
Even if this fixes the problem PLEASE report it to NI so that they can
fix it properly in the .sys file and let other users know that the
    workaround I suggested works.
    See:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/network/hh/network/103ndisx_7mk2.asp
Work-around Possibility #2: I don't know the details of setting up
your DAQ card so if this question doesn't make any sense don't worry
about it. Are you setting up the card with some empty array, zero
memory size, or empty string value or something? I had this problem
with a reflective memory card driver.
Sometimes this can screw up a driver that isn't checking for this sort
of thing with the result of it trying to reference a null ptr or
something. Again, even if you fix the problem by error checking the
values before you give them to the DAQ driver VI, make sure you tell
    NI about it.
This explanation also jibes with what Microsoft has to say on
    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. See:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/w2kmsgs/6077.asp
    3) There may be other explanations for your problem but these are two
that I've run into personally. Try going to www.microsoft.com and
doing a search on IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL if my two possibilities
aren't the cause of your problem.
    4) Make sure you have the latest driver from NI for the NIDAQ. NI may
have already fixed your problem in a later version of the NIDAQ
    driver.
    5) Also I would recommend making sure that you have the latest service
pack (SP6A) installed or that you go ahead and upgrade to Win2000. As
I recall when I had my one of my driver problems it was with an
earlier SP release and upgrading SP's helped.
    6) If none of these suggestions help, you need to call NI help line
(800-IEE-E488) and report this to see if they know about it so that
they can give you a work around and see if they can recreate the
    problem and then fix it.

  • Color Ipod gets only blue lines when it is turned on ...

For about a month now, my ipod screen switches in and out of an appropriate screen and another time it will light up and have only blue lines going across it... How do I fix this?

Well you can try these The Five Rs, but my guess is it's a hardware fault that requires service.

  • I cannot get the same colors when I print an image using Elements 12 (way off) and iPhoto (Close to Monitor color)

My image colors are over saturated and off in tone when I try to print with Elements 12 but if I take the same image in to iPhoto the colors are much closer to what I see on the monitor.  There does not seem to be a way to match the color profile of iPhoto .
    Do you have a suggestion?

    Epson replied
Thank you for contacting Epson regarding your Epson Stylus Photo R2880.
We have seen an increase in calls of users using 10.7/10.8 with darkness or color issues. We do know this issue is coming from Adobe programs and they are aware of it and have told customers to test this by printing a photo from Apples Preview program, something other than an Adobe program. So if you right click on a jpeg file and select "open with", choose Preview and make settings here and print, the print should come out more like you are used to seeing. If it comes out normal, then this will tell you the program is the issue and you will need to contact Adobe for a fix or an update.
I subsequently did a color test print with Preview  from an exported photo from Lightroom 4. I used Color Sync to manage the color with my icc profile to match the paper. The color came out perfectly. I then printed the picture with LR  having the application manage the color and the reds remain washed out with an unacceptable print.
So it looks like the problem is with Adobe, not Epson.

  • Error message Load paper in printer when I print a certain word document

HP Officejet Pro 8500A on Windows Vista-32 bit
Printer works great apart from when I try and print one word document or any other word document based on it
I press print, printer tells me it's printing then I get the error message. "load paper in printer" when there is plenty of paer in it
Other word documents and previous printer was OK
    Thanks

    Hi,
As the issue occours with a specific document only, make sure to verify that any of the document settings are set correctly
(e.g. the right paper size, the page margins, etc...)
Additionaly, try copying the entire content of the document and paste into a new blank document, try printing the new document and check for any change.

  • Epson R3000 question. My issue is when I print on roll paper which is 13" wide, specifically custom sizes.  Anyone else having an issue?

I can't seem to adjust my image size exactly what I want to print on my 13" roll paper.  As an example, I have a panoramic photo that I wanted printed at 13" x 23" but the best I could custom size the print was 9" x 23".  I didn't get any resolution yellow triangle errors, it just wouldn't let me get to those dimensions I wanted.  I'm pretty new to all this so maybe I am doing something wrong.  I have tried custom sizes, ICC profiles which I think more just for printing and color control.  Any help would be appreciated.
By the way, the Epson R3000 is an awesome wide format printer if anyone was considering it.

I have tried cropping my photos in Aperture to the exact size I would like to print.  I adjsuted paper size through custom dimensions, image size is either set to custom or roll paper.  In the end it always seems to do whatever it wants. So I am wondering, am I asking Aperture and my printer driver to do something it can't do, therefore it restricts me?  I bought this printer so I could print wide format images but they are too narrow.  I don't want a 9" x23" image.  I want a 13" by 27" image.
My other question is, I am shooting with a Nikon D90 12.6MP DSLR in RAW mode.  Yet, when I try to get something to print like 13x24, I get the yellow triangle resolution error in Aperture.  Apparently, the resolution isn't high enough, but it seems weird because my camera is taking inceredibly high resolution photos.
