I'm getting a message saying can't connect to itunes store check intrnet connection

I have an older Mac book 10.4.11 and an older version of itunes 7.0 and when i try to connect to the itune store i get a message saying that itunes couldn't connect to the itunes store, check internet connection. The connection to the router is excellent.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning in-app purchase issues:
If you don’t see your in-app purchases
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to make the purchase. Sign in with a different Apple ID if you need to.
Check the restrictions on your device to make sure in-app purchases are allowed.
Check your purchase history in iTunes on your computer to make sure you were charged for the purchase.
Restart your device.

Delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder. Then launch iWeb and see if it opens.
What happened was trying to open the html file reset the file path that iWeb saves in its preference file to tell it where to go when you launch iWeb. Deleting the pref file and launching iWeb creates a new file and iWeb looks in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder for the Domain.sites2 file it uses to create your site.

I think I found out how to solve this - I turned off iCloud documents and data, and now I can save and don't get the "can't open untitled.page" and am now able to properly save!

It's a POP account. I decided to clean up my mailbox today after noticing the computer was real slow after USA Today started sending their daily top stories with new graphics. Don't worry I've sorted it! I just had to turn off Reminders as well in iCloud. Calendar then worked fine, even when I turned Calendar and Reminders back on.

Have you tried temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software whilst the download is happening ? A number of people on here have had success downloading it after doing so.

I can't update to the latest version of iTunes. When I get the software update reminder, it starts updating then just stops. Also, when clicking on updates I get the message ..can't cvonnect to iTunes...despite the internet connectivity being fine. Help!(Is it as simple as needing to clear some more space on my computer/removing programs etc?

If your password is accepted, and Mail connects to the account, but you're prompted for the password repeatedly, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Note: these steps don't apply if the server rejects the password. That's a different problem.
Step 1
When prompted for the password, check the box marked Remember this password in my keychain.
Step 2
Check that the keychain is working.
Step 3
Check that the default keychain is unlocked.
