I'm getting a prompt that my Itunes is either not installed correctly or corrupted which is confusing because I just upgraded two days ago.
I'm getting the message that my Itunes is either corrupt or not installed properly. I tried to reinstall without unstalling, but that did not work. I supposed my biggest fear is that if I uninstall my Itunes that I will lose all my songs, videos, apps, etc. Help!!
I had upgraded within the last day or two and had not been on my laptop until this evening. Of course, I really need to access my Itunes music for a work project.
Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

When starting Window XP on my laptop (which was connected, in the past, in a wi-fi network now no more available) appears immediatly this allert: "iTunes Helper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. ERROR 7."
Reistallation of older or up to date iTunes versions is impossible because: "Installation package iTunes.msi is located on a network resource not available" and because "It is impossible to remuove thew previous verson of iTunes. Impossible fto find the path."
Someone can help me ???
Thank,
GeraldTake a look at iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes. Perhaps your .NET Framework needs a repair.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Itunes helper was not installed correctly. Error 7 (windows error 14001) ?
Upgraded to ITUNES 10 and received following error - Itunes helper was not installed correctly. Error 7 (windows error 14001) - have tried uninstalling all APPLE products, restarting etc and installing ITUNES and QUICKTIME separately yaddah yaddah - NO SUCCESS. Losing patience ?
have tried uninstalling all APPLE products,
Doublechecking. Were you using the instructions from the following documents?
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
(Doublechecking, because an error 7 off ituneshelper normally indicates trouble with Apple Application Support. If something else is going on, it's pretty exotic.) -
Having problems launching iTunes on my pc. Had iTunes on this particular pc for over a year. Have downloaded all of the new updated versions. Now I get an error message saying "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall." I have backed up the pc to an earlier date when when the program was working, and also performed serveral system diagnosis all saying the program is incompatible. Searched for several compatible programs, none worked. All this happened several days after visiting iTunes. I'm afraid that if I reinstall iTunes that I will loose everything and have to start all over. Eventhough everything is saved in an iCloud account and this particular pc. Never had a problem till now. Appreciate any help. Thank you, cld

Everytime I sync my iPhone it gives me the warning: The app "Pages" was not installed on the iPhone "Mom's iPhone" because you are not authorized for it on this computer.
Pages was installed when I initially purchased it for my iPhone, but when I got the 4S recently I got the above message. I tried deauthorizing and then reauthorizing, but it didn't help. The Install/Will Install option is there, but gets me the same message. (And I did hit the Apply button)Agh! I figured out I had two apple id's and was able to install Pages from that account. Dumb! :/

ITunes 64 will not install: says needs Quicktime, which *is* installed
This is what I've done:
Deleted temp directory
Restarted
Uninstalled iTunes and Quicktime, through Windows Add/Remove programs
Deleted temp dir
Restarted
Installed Quicktime (from QuickTimeInstaller.exe, v7.69.80.9)
Deleted temp dir
Restarted
Ran iTunes 64.msi, v10.4.0.80
Received the message, "Installation was not successful. iTunes requires Quicktime".
This was my fourth attempt this evening. Not happy with Apple, right now. Can anyone suggest another approach that works?
Thanks!Exactly my problem. Very frustrating. It bricked my wife's iphone. She was not happy. I'll never update itunes or the iphone again!
Apparently what happened is this...
I plugged her iphone into the pc.
Itunes then updated the iphone.
Next, Itunes wanted to update itunes, but I kept getting the above Error.
So, I installed the Windows installer cleanup utility as the other posts say to do.
Then I deleted itunes with the cleanup utility.
Still, I get the error.
But finially, and here is the Solution...
Use the installer cleanup utility to delete any itunes things listed.
Apparently the Iphone update installer was the problem... Delete It with the cleanup utility!
Hooray!
Thanks Apple for this horrible hassle! -

After verifying that iTunes is completely uninstalled, restart your computer and download and install the latest version of iTunes.

Cannot get itunes 7 to install
Answer previously given by jayg1963.
Go to control panel, add or remove programs or programs and features (later).
Remove all in this order:
itunes
apple software update
apple mobile device support
bonjour
apple application support
Then re-install itunes. May need to run as an administrator. -
