I'm getting a script problem message on hotmail

everytime i try to switch users or exit out of hotmail this script message pops up: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: https://js2.wlxrs.com/_D/F$Live.SiteContent.Messenger/4.2.59120/release/Microsoft.Live.Core.LocalStorage.FF.js:39". it pauses all of my other tabs (giving me the "not responding" message). i've asked the people over at hotmail, and they suggested i ask someone here. it doesn't happen if i use another browser, or with any other sites. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that
"airport has the self assigned IP address etc....."

Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. I can't find a solution to the adobe flashplayer that is associatied with Firefox. I keep getting script problems and am asked to either continue or ignore the problem. I've been a long-time user of Firefox and have never had any problems with Firefox or any associated programs (plug-ins) and so this is a surprise to me. I checked the version of the flashplayer and find that I have the most current version; so I'm not sure what's going on.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

I updated firefox hoping to stop a script problem with tabs, but it is still happening. When I go to close a tab at times I get a script error message. After choosing stop script, individual tabs won't close until I restart firefox.

Check and tell if its working.

Firefox will not go to a new website on the first time that I click a link. I get a connection problem message firt but then when I click on "try again" it works.

I get a connection error every time.

What is the message to the left of the Allow button? Hopefully with that information we can advise on changes to your settings to resolve the issue.
You also could supply a URL of a site that has this problem, assuming we don't need an account to check it out.

Same problem here. After upgrading to iOS 4.2.1 a couple of weeks ago I'm getting the same error as the OP in the first post. I've never activated the 3G service.
I tried turning the cellular service on and checking for updates, pulled and replaced the SIM card, rebooted, nothing helps. I'm still getting the error when I click on the "Check for Update" button in iTunes (v10.1) when my iPad 64GB 3G is connected to my iMac. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Deskjet840c on win7 script error message is preventing printing from a web page.

when I try to print from a webpage I get a script error message that says line1527---error invalid argument---code0---url res://ieframe.dll/preview.js. I can print ok from documents stored on pc and have tried all the fixes I can think of. If you are able to print documents from the computer and Firefox then you will need to contact Microsoft support so they can assist you with fixing IE 9.

Can't insert text into web page plus script error message

I'm using CS3 and, on a fairly regular basis, when I am either pasting or inserting content (usually a newsletter of 500-1000 words), I get a message saying something like I can't insert text in this area. I definitely can insert text in the area as I have done it tons of times before. I sometimes have to cut and past a doc line by line to get it to insert. Very frustrating!
Also, just recently, I've been getting a script error message, "An error has occurred in the script of this page" followed by Line: 992, Char: 106, Error: Unterminated String Constant, followed by the question: Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? I click Yes and everything seems to work fine.
Help on either would be appreciated.

You might want to make sure you are trying to copy plain text. It's possible that if you are copying from a Word document or another Web site that you are bringing along extra unseen code it doesn't like. Try copying into Notepad first and then copying from Notepad into Contribute. Not sure if that's the problem or not, but that's what came to my head first.
I used to get an error that sounds similar (however it's not reproducing the error for me right now) to your error. It was because some of my users had javascript menus on their page that Contribute didn't like. However, if worked fine when you clicked yes and it was fine once it was published. So if you are running a script that's probably why and I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as you can continue working and the page displays to your users correctly once published. It's just annoying.

I am getting the scripting interface message whenever I close iTunes. I know what's causing it, I just want to know if there's a way I can prevent it from popping up every time I close iTunes. I don't want to stop using the thing that's causing it.

Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
You don't have to stop using the thing that's causing it, but you should close that before you close iTunes so that it can release the scripting object that it has created. As far as I'm aware there is no other way to suppress that warning message.

Script Error Message Printing in IE9

I get a "Script Error" message when I try to print anything from IE9. My OS is Windows 7 and I have a HP Deskjet 4480 all in one. I ran printer tool fix and it gave me a green light. I can print anything else from my computer that is not within IE. Would appreciate help to remedy this situation. Thank you.

On your computer:
Go to the Start button.
Select All Programs.
If you have both Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer 64-bit, open the version that is not the 64-bit and try to print.

I downloaded Firefox Optimized for Yahoo on my PC and get an error message about every 15 seconds: Java Script/ Uninstall set. I deleted Firefox and did a new download/installation and am getting the same problem.

The download installed easily, but when it opened my Yahoo web page (I already had an account with them), the Java Script error message "Uninstall set!" immediately began alerts, and kept repeating the alert about every 15 seconds. I got the same result even after uninstalling Firefox and downloading a fresh installation. I am only getting this alert via Firefox; I do not get it when using my Yahoo page with Google. Thanks.
