HI.
I am having trouble authorising my Mac Air to my Itunes account. I found a discussion explaining how to go go into 'Terminal', then adding a command. I have followed all those appropriate steps and when I try to enter my 'Password' when asked, my keyboard doesn't work. No key press can be activated at all when trying to enter my password in 'Terminal. And I am in the 'Administrator' user. Can anybody offer any suggestions?? taDoes the command that you're trying to enter in Terminal begin with the word 'sudo'?
If so, your keyboard is working fine. When you type your password after a sudo command, nothing is echoed to the screen for security reasons (not even the * that are normally registered in other user interfaces). However, the program is registering what you type.
Just type your password and press 'return' and the command will be executed (so long as you type it correctly; if you don't, you'll get an error message). -
My old email was hacked so I changed it and closed the old email. I recently attempted to purchase a book in iBook where I found my iBook account blocked. I changed my Apple ID and password and verified the new email I submitted. I then tried to purchase the book using the new ID and password. The old ID continues to come up when I am asked for my password. (I don't remember the old password). How do I get the ID to reflect my new one? I can't download the book without fixing this problem. open iBooks, then go to the Store, down at the bottom there should be an Account button. click on that button, you should then be able to log out of the old account and then login on the new account.

For some reason when trying to get ito Cloud, I can't get into my previous e-mail address to make changes, which I must do to delete it. Cloud does not recognize my old password and the system does not seem to associate my BD with it. I knowlonger have the old e-mail address associated with Cloud.
I have a new e-mail associate with my Apple account and a new password. The problem is trying to get Cloud to recognize my new I.D.You have to delete the old account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

How to get iTunes TV shows to a new mac without the old Mac
Hi,
so recently my old (only 1,5 years old!!!!) MacBook died.
It was all very sad and inconvenient for a poor pennyless Student!
Now I got a beautiful new (well refurbished) MacBookPro (for which I will be paying longer than I will study)
and I tried to get my iTunes going.
Fortunately I got a lovely IPad 2 from which all my music got immediately synchronised onto my MacBookPro,
unfortunately I did not keep my TV shows (SherlockBBC!!!) on the Pad,
and now I have no idea where to get those files.
Seeing as my old Mac is no longer accessible there must be another way to get the movies and apps that I didn't keep
on my mobile devices. They can't be lost can they?

So, I tried your link, and that support page is for getting the purchased items onto your pad,
which I of course tried, that would get me one step closer,
but obviously I must be in one of those backward countries that doesn't allow so much
(link 2 doesn't work for me so I can't check) but my purchased file only shows music and
won't give me the option of tv shows...germany *****
and would that change if i took my computer to another country and got a new apple id?
(am i asking illegal stuff???)
is there another way for the cloud/store to computer synchronisation?
maybe the series was in cloud, my last cd backup is a bit old, and my tv shows
might have been uploaded in my first cloud try out (didn't get very far in becoming acquainted with that one to be honest, but i did good once i think)

After going to a turorial at apple store, I changed the appleid on my devices. However; on my mac under the icloud the old appleid remains. I tried to delete it and add a new one but it will not delete, claiming it is the primary one. I set up an new one with the new appleid but note etc will not merge on it.

I purchased a new iPhone 5 but I didnt know I had to sync the Tones fromt he old phone to the new one first. I thought that they were saved in my iTunes store and iCloud but theyre not. Theyre nowhere to be found on my desk top either. All I have is the receipts of purchase from the iTunes store. Is there any way I can get these iTunes (Tones) back? HELP!!!
This wont work. The tones are not showing up on my desk top computer in the "Libraries" for my purchased iTuns. The only proof that I have of the purchases are the email receipts from iTunes at the time of purchase. any more suggestions???

I'm trying to open a 900kb Word doc (240pages) in Pages but get this error message: Import Warning - A table was too big. Only the first 40 columns and 1,000 rows were imported.

Pages simply won't support a table with that many rows. If you need that many, you must use another application.
Perhaps the originator could use a tabbed list rather than a table. That's the only way you will be able to contain a list that long in Pages. You can do the conversion yourself if you open the Word document in LibreOffice, Copy the Table, Paste the Table into Numbers, Export the Numbers doc to CSV, and import to Pages. In Pages Find and Replace the Commas with Tabs.
There are probably other ways, but that's what comes to mind here.

I have the current version of itunes, but when I go to update my ipod, I am getting an error message that says that it could not back up because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPod. This is the first time trying to backup the iPod. I have authorized my computer. Still no luck.
Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and select the iPod backjp and click on delete and try again.

Assuming you are having a problem printing one PDF, and not every PDF, If you have Acrobat, you can try Tools> Print Production> Preflight> PDF/X Compliance> Convert to PDF/X-1a. You can also look in your printer settings and see if you have the option to "print as image".
