I'm getting the run-around. Can someone please help me with a rebate problem?

I purchased a Samsung W/D from Best Buy with the free vacuum offer. It was delivered and I submitted my rebate request. The submission page said to wait 6 to 8 weeks for processing. I waited 8 weeks and then became concerned. When I called the rebate center they said they had no record of my submission. Obviously, the online process failed. I understand technology doesn't always work, but the operator and manager told me I would now not be able to get my rebate and only offered a mailing address to complain. I am EXTREMELY frustrated. First, because the only reason I purchased these units was for the rebate and now I cannot return them to Best Buy because of the time elapsed. Second, if I was aware that there was a problem with the submission I would have been able to fix the situation. The website said all was OK, and all the information said to wait 6-8 weeks. Why would I have checked in before that time? Now I'm told I'm too late to fix it??? All I want is the vacuum cleaner I was promised when I purchased the W/D. Can someone please help me?

I'm wholly disappointed to read, though, that your rebate experience didn't go smoothly and that the manufacturer seems to have been less than cooperative. I would be frustrated too under such circumstances!

    It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1.  If it's an 8 GB iPod Touch it's definitely a 2G iPod Touch as there was never such a thing as a 3G 8 GB iPod Touch. See this article to help verify what generation iPod Touch you have.

  • Can someone please help me with a flash problem in Windows 7 IE9?

    For the last week or so I have not been able to see videos on certain websites.  Today it is CNN. Another one I can think if is cbc.ca.   I have tried all the solutions already listed on this website on the page regarding windows 7 issues. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html ----  clearing browser and flash cache, changing settings etc.     I  couldn't find the place to clear the flash browser data,(step 5) it wasn't under control panel as instructed but I did do the following step (6) clearing the cache.  I also did some stuff on other pages where I had to check if I could html videos. and other stuff.  I have been trying for hours.
    I have searched on the internet for solutions too but nothing seems to work. 
    The players control panel shows up on the bottom but the screen stays black.  I updated again today and see there have been several updates over the last few days when checking my versions through the windows utility.  I was not allowed to restore to any previous versions.  I really don't want to have to do a system restore to an earlier date as this is a new computer and I have spent a lot of time installing programs. 
    I play a webgame that requires flash and it works fine.

    I take it you tried using the "right click" menu?   That doesn't seem to work, as you noted, but, you should be able to paste text by pressing your CTRL key  and while holding it down, press the "V" letter  key.
    CTRL + C = COPY
    CTRL + X = CUT
    CTRL + V = PASTE

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
    If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects.     Connect your devices to the computer with the USB cable (one device at a time) and import the photos via iPhoto or Image Capture.
    If you have not changed any default settings on your computer, iPhoto will automatically launch when you plug in the device. Then follow the import prompts.

  • My MacBook Pro iTunes movie purchase is not showing in iTunes store movie purchases nor does it show on my iPad or Apple TV.  Can someone please help me with a solution?  Thanks.

      First of all, I live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Sometimes, I use a VPN to search on the web here. I purchased Toy Story 3 on my MacBook Pro 2011 OS/X - Lion through iTunes.  I initially had trouble downloading it which may be due to being on and off the VPN but after a while it finally downloaded and shows up in my iTunes library on my MacBook. 
      Under my Apple ID account (which is the only Apple ID account I have), I look under purchase history and it shows that I paid for Toy Story which is where I got my Order # from.  But if you go to the iTunes Store then to the Quick Links then click on Purchased, under all my Movies, it does NOT show Toy Story 3 as one of my movies.
      Now when I go to my iPad (3rd gen.), Toy Story 3 does not show up under purchased movies (all or not on my iPad).  It does not show up on my Apple TV as well.  If I want to have Toy Story 3 on my iPad or Apple TV, then it says I have to purchase it again.
      I have searched for help via Apple support communities but so far none of their solutions have worked for me.  I have tried logging off iTunes & App Store on iPad and also shutting down the iPad.  I also made sure that under iTunes Preferences>Store that iTunes in the Clouds purchases is checked. Can someone please help me with this?  Your consideration is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago.  I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam.  I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase. 
    Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions.  Could you please explain? 
    I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items.

    If you have a pc, when you plug your iPad in you should see the windows pop up window offering to backup the photos. Do that and it will save all your photos and videos to your computer where you can then sync them back to your new one.
    If the pop up doesn't come up, double click on my computer and navigate your way to the iPad. Double cick on it an d navigate to the DCIM folder. Drag your photos and videos to your pc, then sync them back onto your iPad.

    "Files shared by these updates" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.

    "Safari 5" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.
    I somehow got around this annoying "invalid signature" problem before by installing the iTunes update through the Apple site.

    Hi. I also had this problem when trying to connect a new iPhone 4S & it needed iTunes 10.5. Went to the Apple website as update section of iTunes was not getting any luck - went to downloads section of Apple website & downloaded the whole iTunes 10.5 program as though I did not have it in the first place (& also downloaded the programs for Quicktime 7.7.1 & Safari 4.0.3) ie not just the upgrades. I created a restore point in my Windows XP in case it all went pear shaped & then went ahead & installed all 3 programs. Opened iTunes at the end & all my music, apps, movies were all still there & now the new iPhone 4S works perfectly with the iTunes. Hope this helps.

    Firstly, are you installing iTunes for the first time or are you updating your current version of iTunes?
    If you're installing iTunes for the first time have you tried redownloading the installer package? Perhaps the file you downloaded originally is corrupted...

    If you've tried that, then try installing iTunes as your computer's administrator. To do this right-click the install package and choose "Run as administrator".
    If you're updating iTunes to the most recent version try repairing the Apple Software Update program on your computer. It's under the add/remove programs.
    1. Open the control panel
    2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
    3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
    4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
    Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.

    1.Restart computer
    2.Disable anti-virus/security programs
    3.Update hardware and software drivers.(I'm guessing mainly the cd-rom drive drivers)

    the activation server seems to be experiencing issues dealing with the increased activation requests that are coming from ios7 updaters. unfortunately, the only solution is to wait for the traffic to die down in order to activate the iphone again successfully. it shouldn't take too long for the servers to catch back up and be functioning properly, but until then, the only answer is to wait it out.
