I'm getting this error:Recording engine: Media is busy, usually by an unmou

Help. I've never gotten this before. I tried to burn too big of a project, but now I get this message for even the smallest project.

I have tried other iMovie projects. Now I'm receiving "Burning is finished. There were errors. Recording engine: media is busy; probably an unmountable volume" on every iMovie file and Quicktime file that I try.

I have no idea what this means.
When I burn a QT movie made prior to my upgrading to Tiger, its works fine.
When I try to burn one made after the upgrade, I get that message.
Is that the reason?
Will this not work with Tiger?

I've not seen that error message. With the upgrade, did you also upgrade Quicktime? (note that QT 7 requires a new QT Pro license) QT is the backbone of iDVD, iMovie, etc.

The mac has no native way to read .wma files (these are Windows Media Audio files). Do a search on the internet for playing wma files on a mac. You will find several links to solution (one is to use flip4mac).

When I try to use the internal hard drive as a scratch disk I get this error "unable to set scratch disk- the selected directory is on write protect or non-writable media. Any ideas on how to fix this. It only happens in fcp.

By internal, I assume you're referring to your systems (boot) drive. Is it, by chance, a partitioned dive?
Also…although many people successfully use their systems drives as scratch disks, over time you'll have better results using a dedicated drive for your media.

Uninstall the Adobe Application manager from your computer.
and download the latest version of the AAM from the below mentioned sites.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get itunes to launch properly afterwards?

I appreciate any help or assistance. I have been trying to update one of my books for for the past few days with no success. I really just need to change two letters. But since I was updating I thought I would make a couple more improvements. I clicked disable portrait and made my pictures a little bigger to fit the whole page. But now I keep getting this error for multiple sound effects throughout the book. No. Each book is a stand-alone entity. It doesn't matter if the same audio file appears in another book.
From what people have reported here, it looks like there is a bug in the submission system. Other than trying the suggestions posted in the linked-to thread, I don't think there is anything you can do to fix it.
I would submit a bug report to Apple though. Quite a lot of people seem to be affected by this problem, and if they hear about the same problem from lots of different sources, that will (presumably) elevate the importance of fixing it.

What is it about InDesign CS5 that someone would get this error message?

What is is about the .swf file that is generated from the InDesign CS5 interactive workspace that someone would get the following error message when they go to view the site I created?
"This file may contain newer information that this viewer can support. It may not open or display correctly. Adobe suggests that you upgrade to the latest versions of our Acrobat products blah blah blah."
The site doesn't seem to work for four Mac users, but works fine for at least one PC user.
I'm trying to figure out how to save the .swf file down to Flash Player 9, which I've done by exporting a .fla file, then adjusting the Publish setting in Flash CS5. But that throws a wrench into the works...all the animations go haywire by continuously looping and the scale of all the text elements on the first page is much larger than it should be.

i have gone on other forums and blogs and this seems to be an on going thing . Its about time this was put right and a simple down load or fix was made, as the forums are growing so pick. Scanning through them make me ill.

You need to test your DVD disc in another Mac, as it would seem the code is related to the drive and not the media?

here are some of flatfile errors:
1.check whether in flat file ur using Uppercase or Lowercase letters.
u sholud use all uppercase letter, or if u want to use lowercase also then while defining info object for that char u should select the check box "lower case".
2. check your attribute length settings and type..may be the chanracter values are not as per the definition of ur infoobject
3. Check whether ur using any spaces or special characters that BI cannot display...if you check in RSA3 for the record in the source system do you also see the space or some other character?

   Using DBMS_MGWADM.SET_LOG_LEVEL you can change the log level of MGW dynamically. If you set 0 for log level, you won't get most of these traces.
   ie. DBMS_MGWADM.SET_LOG_LEVEL(DBMS_MGWADM.BASIC_LOGGING)

    Coming back to the problem you were facing earlier ... can you please provide the details about DB version, MQ version and Operating System. Also if you can reproduce the issue, please file a bug/service request and provide the steps and the scripts to reproduce the failure.

Getting this error, need help: No Name Available via DNS

i was wondering if someone can help me out. i m being getting this error message xserver servermgrd: servermgr_dns: no name available via DNS for 192.168.0.XXX . The server is set up stand alone server, only being use to host Filemaker Pro Databases. i type hostname to see what it show me, it show me fmserver.local. the internal ip assign to it, it is static and the WAN IP is also static.
any help would be appreciate it.

if you change your network interface's DNS to point to yourself, then you should add your isp's nameservers to the "fowarders" options in your /etc/named.conf file, so your nameserver, when it can't find a local or cached record to answer the query, can still use your ISPs nameserver to lookup the information...
