My iPhone 5c has been trying to update for 3.5 hours now. It keeps saying there are errors, but I followed all the directions. I'm livid. Right now my phone is a little over the halfway mark on the loading bar. This is ridiculous

Does Windows not have a method of transferring everything from one computer to another?
You can use your backup copy of your computer to copy everything.
For the itunes portion, you can type "move itunes library" into the google search bar.
Windows should have a way to copy all doc/pics/files/contacts/calendars/etc.

No, not for a warranty or out of warranty replacement. Any iOS device will be replaced with an identical device. Heck, Apple still has original iPhone service units in stock for out of warranty replacement and battery replacement of 1st generation iPhones from 2007.

The SIM card only holds information from your carrier regarding your account. I'm not sure how someone else is going to get ahold of your old SIM. If you are selling the phone, wipe the phone clean and remove the SIM.

If i understand your problem correctly, you are trying to change SID.
You got this error while creating service and you mentioned SAPService<TGT SID> as username. Did you create this user in target system (or target system domain, if target system is in domain) and assign all groups manually. If not do it and create service it will start.

The first thing I would suggest is for you to go to the folder containing your catalog, using your system browser. There will be a folder that has the extension .lrdata. Delete that folder, and then try to start Lightroom. If that doesn't work, replace your catalog with your most recent backup.

I really don't like the new version of Firefox, when are they going to change it back? The idea for this layout is worse than mircosofts Vista mistake.

It's not that I don't like change, in fact I love it. However, the way tabs open and new windows open needs to go back to the original format. Sure it's a fancy transition but it is more annoying than nice. Ios6 problem on iphone 4s...editing apps on screen doesn't work properly. screen goes dark, changes aren't realised.

i hold down the app...passbook, to enable the jiggly apps for editing placement. i drag it to screen 4 and 'drop' it there. i grab the weather channel app and drop it into a folder with like apps. i press the home button to save my changes.the screen goes black like putting to sleep. then it becomes very dim. changes aren't saved...passbook is back on the first screen and the weather channel app is not in the folder i placed it in. clicking the power button to make the phone sleep then another press to wake it up re lights the screen.

If Apple serviced the phone and it still does not work as it should, bring it back to get it serviced again. Repairs done by Apple are also covered by a short warranty period.
And, the latest update for your phone is 8.1.3, not 8.0.2.

Will Arch Linux going to change the default compiler to Clang?

Recently read a news about building the kernel with LLVM Clang.
I would like to ask will Arch Linux adopt this also soon, or in a plan, or no decision yet?

Same as you (I suppose) I've been following these attempts by looking at overall progress, mailing lists and some of the bug reports, like I said this is not the first attempt to get llvm/clang to compile Linux (afaik this latest one is a consolidation of previous efforts together with some new blood(?) which makes it more likely that it will atleast be able to compile a stable kernel, albeit requiring patches).

Are you referring to that one Debian developer who has compiled the repository with Clang to see how well it went? Is that the basis of your 'Debian also seems to have plans to compile their entire repository with Clang' claim?. AFAIK developers of distros have tried pretty much all the compilers under the sun on their repos and have reported the results, doesn't mean they plan to use that compiler for their official builds.

I don't know what the state is now but the previous patches I recall where not unintrusive, of course there are two targets of problems here, you can pretty much leave Linux alone if you can have clang-llvm accept lots of patches, and vice versa. If the current crop of patches needed were relatively small and non-intrusive they would likely have made in into some testing branches in the trees of their upstream targets by know, the changes needed for FreeBSD to compile using Clang/LLVM were quite substantial as I recall and it was like a 4-5 year period necessary for the transition despite being a very focused effort which will finally reach it's culmination with the upcoming FreeBSD 10 release.

Well I don't judge a project's success or community interest by a webpage, I judge it by progress. Currently it seems to be where it was last I checked, patches needing to be applied to both Linux and Clang/LLVM with a unstable kernel as a result.

Well yes LLVM is pretty much ubiquitous as a JIT-framework which is used in lots of projects but LLVM as a an actual installed package?
Like I said, I would be surprised (as in I don't think it will happen) if upstream linux and clang/llvm took in the patches necessary for compiling linux 'out-of-the-box' based upon past and current progress. I guess we'll have to see.

Going to change my IP - Is my syntax ok?

My standalone server is used for mail, webmail, and afp.
I'm going to do an IP change and keep the same hostname. I did 'man changeip' and I want to be sure I get this right before doing it.

I'm pretty sure I don't have to add the hostname since it's going to be the same, correct? This will be followed by changing the IP info in the Network Prefs GUI.

You need to supply either a directory node or a dash between the changeip and the first IP address. If there is a | inside a bracketed pair or more of options, you need to supply one of those options unless the documentation for those options says that one option is the default. An example of the command's actual usage is available here. If a pair or other number of bracketed parameters does not contain a | inside, you need to supply either none of them or all of them.

When is Adobe going to change InDesign

Adobe needs to change InDesign CS5 so you can save back to CS3, CS2, CS just the same as Illustrator where you can do a "save as" wright back to Illustrator 3.

So do you want it to act like QuarkXPress or any other page layout program?
When Illustrator saves to a lesser format, it destroys or dumbs down the features in the more recent version. You won't see a gradient mesh in Illustrator 88 format. It is essentially an 'export', not a 'save'. InDesign can also export to a format that can be placed in older versions of InDesign.
There is an InDesign forum where this might be better addressed.
