I'm having a dreadful time with unauthorized changes to my phone plan. I've been told I can't get credit for unauthorized insurance added.  What kind of customer service is this?

This all started when I went to Verizon to buy a new phone.  The salesperson forgot to activate the device so I had to go back to the store before I could use the phone.  I told her no changes to my account but she added insurance which I didn't notice until receiving my bill today.  Now I'm told I can't be credited for the charge.

As long as it's less than 3 months, if you keep calling you'll find someone who will do it.

    CS3 forever if the installer database is corrupted then you will first want to install with a fresh copy of the installation files.  You can download a fresh copy of the CS3 installation files at Download CS3 products.

    I am scanning old photographs with an Epson V750 Pro and have a question on how my Photoshop should be set, or how the scanner should be set.
    I have Photoshop 7.0 and it works fine, but I have started scanning some old photographs with my new Epson V750 Pro scanner and every time I go to open a scanned photograph, I receive a message reading:
    My Photoshop's color setting are "custom" set: I never changed anything, but this is how I've always ued it and have never had any problem before. Is there a better way it should be set?

    Should any of these settings be different? If something in Photoshop should be changed, what should I do? I don't want to be asked this every time I open a scanned image.
    Or, should any of the settings in the Epson Scanner when scanning?

    The other color settings available are 48-bit Color and Color Smoothing, but sometimes when I use the 48-bit Color, Photoshop will give me an error when I go to save the edited scan, telling me there isn't enough space to save it. I have no idea why this happens because there is plenty of space, but I end up having to change the scan to 300dpi to save it.
    Well, I don't know if any of this makes since, but I would love to receive any help. I would like to understand why I am having this problem and how the color settings should be, so I don't have this trouble anymore.

    In Epson Scan, click Configuation at the bottom of the main window, and try these settings.
    If it doesn't work, I think it'll  be ok converting to sRGB in Photoshop,
    Edit: You can set PS to convert to sRGB automatically under Color Settings > Color Management  Policies > RGB.
    But if you can control it from Epson Scan, that's probably preferrable.

    Not sure what you mean. The Apps Stores for the iOS Devices and for the Mac are completely separate. You cannot purchase a computer app for an iOS device or an iOS app for a Computer. There's a Sketchbook Express for iPad that is free, and a SketchBook Pro for iPad that is $4.99, but no Sketchbook in the iPad app store that is $59.99.

    I endorse everything that Steve just said but to try and get you going while you're shopping for an audio interface more suitable for sound work than use as a doorstop, try the following:
    Go to the Windows sound control panel and make sure the SB card is selected as the default on both the Recording and Playback tabs.  On the advanced menu for both, set the bit depth and sample rate to either 16/44,100 (CD) or 16/48,000 (Video) depending what suits you best.  Note that your SB card only works natively at 16/48,000  so anything else involves a conversion that the card hides from you.
    Go to the Windows Control panel and, under the sound section, turn off all system sounds (since they can hijack your sound card).  Close every other application that may want to use the sound card (internet for example).
    In Audition, go to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware.  Set the device class to MME.  On the drop down menus set the Default Input and Default Output to be your Soundblaster.  On the Master Clock set it for the SB Output (this'll likely be default).  Set the latency at around 200ms (you may need to increase this later if your playback stutters--or you can try decreasing it until you get stutter, then take it back up a bit.  Set the sample rate to whatever you selected on the Windows Sound Control Panel.
    The Soundblaster will likely have installed it's own control menu.  Go to this and select Mic or Line as appropriate for the input and whatever you need for the output.  I can't be more specific as SB keep changing what they call things.
    Hopefully this'll get you going even if it's not the best compromise for quality and latency.

    In addition have you got FileVault switched on as that will kill performance.

  • Corrupted iPod, Restored several times with no change.

    Everytime I attach my iPod to iTunes(I sometimes have difficulty getting it to recognize), it says that "iTunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod." I have restored literally about 30 times, with no change in this. This wasn't a problem until I downloaded the new iTunes. I've tried reinstalling the new iTunes, with no luck. I've been looking for my iTunes CD that came with the iPod, and I am hoping that may be the fix to the problem. If anyone else has had this problem and has found a way to fix it, please inform me. =)

    Hi Pez,
    iTunes in the Cloud is not iCloud. Any songs that you have purchased but have not downloaded (or have deleted), go to iTunes in the cloud. The setting I mentioned will show all of your purchases in the various views in the Music app, whether they are on your device or not. If you turn that setting off, you will only see items that are actually on your device.
    Glad to hear the second sync worked! But if they all start appearing again, make sure that setting is turned off
