I recently got a new computer and I Back-Up all my music and itunes playlist and I import it on my new computer with the new itunes and I go to play a few songs, it says I'm missing them I locate a few but it's still like 3,000 missing and again they are all on the computer and in one folder..Please Help !
I did that and nothing changed half my songs still have examination marks beside them
I also just tried dragging my folder of music int he playlist and it duplicated all of my songs? My playlist was at 5k now it's at 10k becuz of 3 duplicates of songs. Is there a way to delete multiple duplicate files?

It is a 3G and it shows rainbow colors. I've tried resetting it twice, but it stays the same. When I touch the screen, it shows original colors in some areas.
Sounds like a damaged or loose ribben cable or LCD screen. You'll need to have the iPod serviced either by Apple or a third party service center in order to resolve the issue.

I've got to agree with Allan. It sounds like the hard drive is corrupt at least. It's possible it might be physically failing. Without backups, it's possible your data is already gone. You need a professional to help you.
If you do not have an Apple Store near you or simply don't have the time to spare, there are some things you can try, but you must understand that it's possible these things could make the chances of recovering your data worse than they already are. Perform the instructions to follow at your own risk!
First, you can try repairing your hard drive with Disk Utility. If that works, see if you can start up the machine. If you can, the very first thing you need to do is back up any data you don't want to lose. You may still need to take other steps, as your system may be damaged as well, but getting the data is the important part.
If Disk Utility cannot repair the problems, you can try DiskWarrior. It can repair problems that Disk Utility cannot. However, it also increases the risk of destroying your data if it fails. If it works and you can start up the machine, do the same as I advised for following success with Disk Utility.
If repairs (with either) were successful, but the machine still won't start up, you can try reinstalling the system. Hold down command-R at startup and then just install right on top of the existing system. If all goes well, you'll be able to start up afterwards and can get your data backed up. If all goes badly, it'll further decrease the chances of getting your data back.
If neither can repair the damage, you're in bad shape. You will need a professional to help you, unless you are willing to lose all your data. -

i keep trying to restore my iphone 4s as there is some lag so i need to install 5.1.1 but it keeps telling me servers are temperarily down. according to me it permanent what can i do to fix this issue
Either your security software is blocking access to Apple's servers, or your computer was used at some time in the past to hack or jailbreak some iDevice (not necessarily the phone you are restoring), and your computer's network database has been corrupted. If you know this is the case edit your "hosts" file and remove all lines containing "gs.apple.com". If you are sure it is not the case temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall.

Hi, Firefox on my desktop keeps crashing at just random moments. Sometimes not very often at all, but other times it can happen a few times within an hour.
My Desktop Window Manager also crashes regularly and the dialogue box always pops up saying its stopped working. However, this doesn't seem to effect anything.
It could be realated though, as I just had this desktop built a few weeks ago and a few times it's crashed as well as programs.

I have already tried turning the power off and back on, holding the home and power button for ten seconds and shutting it off that way, and disconnecting from the wifi. None if those fixed the problem. However, resetting all of the settings did actually fix this issue, but then when I turn the ipod off and on again the issue is back. I don't want to have to keep resetting the settings on a daily basis, so what else can I do to fix this bug? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

And if none of that works try resetting the device with this process from iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hi, 2011 macbook pro 13.3". Every time I use facetime after about 5 minutes they can't hear me. They still see me moving and I see them moving and also hear them. Anyone have a reccommendation on how to fix this? thanks
Robsounds like third party drivers interfering. How do you connect your audio or are you using your computer speakers?
Have you tried going into system preferences audio midi setup and making sure your mic is selected?
This could be the people you are trying to reach's issue where they might have something running that cuts out the audio for them.
try hitting Video, internal mic, when you're on facetime. if it's selected, then you might want to try to connect with someone else and see if the issue persists. -
Java will not work on the computer all of a sudden. Now when I go to open a Pogo game room up i get a Mozilla red lego piece in the corner saying "Some plug ins have been De-activated for your safety, in the box will be "Java (TM) platform SE 6 U". I have removed Java7 and reloaded it, after that not working found Java6 and loaded and reloaded it and it is not working.
Now after 3 minutes of the room not loading Pogo will give me the error message of
Java Not Found or Not Working
Explanation:
This error means Java (one of the technologies built into most browsers) is not working correctly on your browser.
You must have Java installed on your computer in order to run Pogo games, and it must be functioning properly. Either you don't have Java installed yet, or the Web browser you're currently using doesn't support Java or you have Java (or Javascript) disabled in your browser.

I have done the click here in last sentence and all it wants me to do is download Java7 which was the first reason it was not working.
Hopefully I have explained this well enough, from Mozilla this is what I get BUT if I go to Internet Explorer (which I HATE) the Java6 and Java7 work perfectly fine. So apparently the Java is downloaded correctly I just can not get it to play nicely with Mozilla and that is my main goal.
EA games help page has gone through it all with me and have proven over and over (after 1 hour sessions, 45 waits for them) Java is working on my computer perfectly with IE just not on Firefox and with the rural situation I have become dependent on Mozilla because of the no fiber optics here it has been my best and only source of successfully using the internet here in the far out part of the country.Thank you so much, for once in my computer life I knew what the problem was, what caused it, why it was caused, what it did, what it made it do and most importantly how to fix it and to do it correctly and expeditiously. I can not Thank You all enough for all of the help! I also have Pogo mailed this to all on my friends list, where they have all learned as I have and have fixed theirs also. and the message is being spread. Thank You again, I just can not say it enough.

after installing mountain lion I lost pictures in iphoto, lost my musisc in itunes, my icluod is not working, internet its very slow and some other issues. There is a way how to fix these issues
Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Photo Stream then reselect it.
Now for your music. Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Preferences then select the Store tab.
Select: Music. (and Apps and Books) if you want.
Click OK.
iCloud syncs via your Wi-Fi network so give it a minute or two to reset your photos and music.
Slow internet ... try turning off the modem for a few minutes, then turn it back on. -

You won't lose your music - it isn't kept in iTunes, it's usually kept in (user)/Music/iTunes and you could back that up to be double secure.
Go to (user)/Preferences and delete every file which begins with com.apple.iTunes and com.apple.mobile.iTunes
Then open the ByHost folder in Preferences and again delete every file which begins with com.apple.iTunes
Then reboot. Doing this will not delete any of your music but obviously you will have to set up your Preferences from scratch. Don't open iTunes.
Then go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download iTunes and reinstall.
