I'm having a problem downloading ios6. I've tried numerous times and the same error comes up. It says "Software Update Failed, An error occurred downloading iOS 6." If anyone has a solution please share! Thanks
I've tried OTA and on iTunes and even in DFU mode and the same error shows. I'm sure it's just an overload of download requests.

You'd also see dozens of identical replies telling why. The servers are busy due to millions of people all trying to download at the same time. -

Are you updating under Settings > General > Software Update, or using iTunes on a computer?

This is a common issue and a solution could have been quickly found by doing a search.
Disable any Anti-Virus and Firewall software on the computer, then run the update. -

“SUCCESS!!! I took my iPod to a friend who is a computer programmer/genius. He turned off his wireless, hooked the ethernet cable directly into his computer, and the download went through without a hitch. YAY!”

It has the 2.1.2 ios on it, but after I paid for the upgrade to 3.1.1, I keep getting an error message (8288) saying there was a problem with the network connection. I have called customer service, and they suggested I try on a different computer, and if that didn't work, try connecting to a different network, and then trying the update. None of this has worked. It seems that tech support is clueless with this issue.
I have installed and unistalled iTunes 10.5, 10.3, 10.4, and now I am back with 10.5. I have tried looking up the issue from several search engines but no one seems to have a universal solution and I have tried several.
I really want to have this thing updated for himw hwne he opens it, but I am starting to worry that my purchase was a bust. I know this is the oldest version, but I don't want to buy a newer, more expensive iPod and him still not be mature enough to really take care of it. As I said, this one is a starter.
Can anyone help? Please?!

Now, there seem to be a lot of different ways to solve the 8288 error, none of which are universal. Best of luck getting yours upgraded!

Having a problem downloading previously downloaded Apps to iTune 11.0.2 on a MacBook with OS 10.6.8 with Snow Leopard. Any suggestions?
The Mac App Store is for apps/programs for your Mac i.e. they are for Mac OS X - if you've bought/downloaded any apps from within that, and they are still in that store, then they should show in the Purchases tab within it.
The app store within iTunes is for apps for iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches i.e. they are iOS apps
If you want iPhoto for your Mac then the version within the Mac App Store is where you need to look - but the version that is in there needs OS X 10.7.5+, so that won't work with your version. You might be able to download it via this page (whether it will then install I don't know) : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1462 -

I had already asked our gracious Hosts to move it to Using iPhone where it now resides and will likely get more prompt attention. In the meantime, you might consider browsing and/or searching Using iPhone for similar issues as your own.

iphoto will not import my photos from my digital camera because it says it is having a problem downloading my photos. I'm using the same digital camera I have always had and have the current version of iphoto and am using snowleapord 10.6.8. Any thoughts?
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -

ElizabethAdobe aren't much help either. What you have to do is open a web case with the Adobe support team.
I've been waiting since 25/09/09 for them to reset my account which is what you have to do to get it working again.
I know this isn't much help but its a start.

A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." what do I do? I need to download this otherwise I cant connect my ipod touch to itunes.
Try postings/searching in the iTunes forum since you have an iTunes problem not an iPod problem. Ther have been recent posts with your problem so you should be able to find an solution.

iPad mini with retina still having wifi problems with iOS 8.0.2 - slow or none. Resetting temporarily fixes problem it very annoying. Please fix Apple! Not up to scratch.
I Have followed these steps, and tried others, such as resetting all my network settings. At best these only temporarily fix the problem - wifi still becomes slow or stops. I have other Apple devices connecting fine to my airport express. why is my iPad mini not working? Is it related to the fact it is 3G and I don't have a sim card installed? It is the current top of the range model with iOS 8.0.2. I paid over the odds for the best, and it is almost completely redundant. Apple - I'm losing faith. You need to keep the public better informed and fix this problem fast, otherwise I will leave you for good.
