I'm having a problem sending photos to some numbers via messages.
I'm having problems sending pictures via messages. Some numbers (where the people have IPhones ) they go though where others as soon as I hit send they comeback Not delivered. Help?
You may be transmitting to Apple users using iMessage. But to transmit to non-Apple users, you must rely on your cellular carrier's MMS.
First, you must have Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging set "On". Second, you must have an MMS arrangement with your cellular carrier.

When I first tried to email photos from the share facility of iPhoto 9.2.3 I received a message something along the lines of server didn't recognise your id and password. Read other peoples posts that suggested removing and reloading icloud in the iPhone account section. No icloud in my accounts just email and mobile me so I removed and reloaded mobile me. After that I sent a test email to myself. It arrived eventually but disappeared the instant I tried to open it. Shut down my Macbook completely and then switched it on again with exactly the same results. I am using OS X 10.7.4. Can anyone tell me how to get icloud as an option for my iPhoto emails? I use icloud for my normal emails.
I've resolved my problem now. It wasn't iphoto: preferences:@ that I needed but iphoto:preferences:general where there is the option to choose email for sending photos. Can't believe I missed that before.

Having problem sending photos by Email since I upgraded to iLife11.
I followed the instructions. I used to just select my photos and then a screen would come up to compose an email.
Now it comes up with templates and I had to set up what account to send them from. No matter what I do, it just
never goes thru.
What's the solution?Set Mail as your preferred email client in the iPhoto Preferences -> General

I'm having a problem sending a word doc via email. I have Mac for Office 08, and I'm using Mavericks OS. When I save the document as a .doc or .docx, and send it to someone, (doesn't matter if its safari, chrome or firefox or on my yahoo or gmail accounts) they receive it as a blank document. Yet, when I open it on my Mac, it has a "word" icon and I can read it. How do I fix?
I suggest you post on the Microsoft Mac forums since it's their software you're having issues with.

Sudden Problem Sending Photos by Email
Hi,
After being able to successfully send photos from my iPhone by email ever since I got it, I suddenly have a problem. The recipient does not receive the photo - only a small blue box with a question mark in it. The copy of the email in my Sent folder looks the same.
I've tried a reset and, for info, I use BT Yahoo for email.
Have hunted high and low for reference to this and only found one post but there was no real explanation or resolution.
Any help or advice gratefully received. Cheers!

If you are using Yosemite and have enabled up two-step verification for iCloud? Then you may need to create an application specific password for iPhoto. I had already entered my Email info under preferences.
The screen comes up with the photos I want to send.
I type my message and hit Send. The blue bar appears "Sending".
However, don't know where the photos go, they don't reach destination.
I tried sending to myself at another Email address - they didn't arrive, and they are not shown under Sent Emails either.
How to resolve?

what is an smpt password? I have problems sending photos using the stamp at the bottom because it asks for some smpt password and I have no clue to find out what it is, how to set one of find one if I somehow put one in and don't know what it it.
It's the password for your outgoing mail in your Mail account. You need to set it up in your Preferences.

Is there a fix for this?Anyone? I was hoping my problem would just 'fix itself'... but I still have some clients telling me they're not receiving any email from me. I've since deleted that account on my computers and re-added it. But still having the same issue.

I do not know what imap.gmail is. I have also lost data which was contained on my diary which I believe is linked to the problem. Does anyone recognise this problem?

imap.gmail is the Google mail server. It doesn't recognize the password that is stored in the iPhone. The problem is that the password or email address you have in Settings for the gmail account is wrong. If you changed the password somewhere else that is the reason. You need to go to Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, tap on the gmail account and enter the correct password. You also need to change it for outgoing mail in Settings. -

Confirm or change the photos you want to share by tapping an option.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Type the address of the recipient, add a message, and tap Send. -

Try closing the Photos app, as well as Messages by double tapping the home button, long pressing on one of these apps, then touching the minus sign above these two apps. It will also be a good idea to restart the phone. Then test your message again. Hope this helps.

After updating to IOS 8.1, I have problems sending photos in messages
I'm not at all sure how long after updating this started happening, and I'm fairly sure I just have a setting messed up someplace.
When I go into messages, contacts are listed in three different colors. Gray, green, & blue. I can send a message to any of them, but I can only send a photo to one that's listed in blue. Any of my contacts that are listed in gray or green the camera icon is grayed out and I can't send a photo to that person.
One of them is my wife and while it's been a 2-3 weeks since I've sent her a photo so I'm not sure when this changed. We both have an iPhone 6 w/ IOS 8.1. She can still send me photos.
The other side of this problem is one I've been having all along.
If I go to try and send a message in the 'Photos' app it never gives me an opportunity to select anyone from my contacts. It only comes up with a new message window and the send hotspot is also grayed out.On the off chance anyone is watching the thread ...
I seem to have resolved the issue of sending a photo to my wife through messages by turning off iMessage, then rebooting (not resetting) the phone.
I still have the issue in Photos. If I select the share icon, then select message, it brings up a message authoring window with the photo in it, but never offers an opportunity to select a contact to send it to. -
