I'm having a problem with my Itunes, when i plug in my ipad mini.
I just got a new ipad Mini for christmas and i wanted to sync it with my music on itunes from my computer. I just had to get a new computer because my other one had broke. So i downloaded just a few songs to my new computer that i wanted to put on my Ipad. But now when i plug in my Ipad mini to my c mac to sync it, Itunes begins to load it then crashes. I have tried updated my itunes, my ipad and my computer being new is already fully updated. So why can't i Sync my Ipad mini?
First question: You said: "I downloaded just a few songs to my computer ...". Have you placed them in iTunes on your computer?
These suggestions:
If iPad doesn't appear in iTunes or you can't sync iPad
Follow these steps, testing after each:
Disconnect other USB devices from your computer and connect iPad to a different USB 2.0 port on your computer (not on your keyboard).
Turn iPad off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds, until a red slider appears. Then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Restart your computer. Then reconnect iPad to your computer.

The first thing I would check is Do Not Disturb mode, as this will cause that behavior:

Before you do step 10, however, I recommend resetting all settings to see if that helps. To do that, choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

I am having problems with the new itunes set up ........
when i plug in my iphone or ipod touch it shows in the top right hand corner of itunes
BUT when i click on the shown iphone/ipod the icon its no longer there, i was useing this fine yesterday and it was showing yesterday what is on this ipod and would allow me to add/remove music, but now this option is no longer availlable - i have added a couple of albums to my itunes i can listen to the music from the laptop but cannot sync the ipods to trancefer these albums to the handheld devices -

Perhaps Bob will see this thread, he is the professor in these cases.
You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect. -

My iphone4 do not sync with my itunes when i plugged in the cable
my iphone 4 couldnt sync with my itunes even though my iphone is plugged in. it is charging and i can access the photos through windows folders but the itunes show nothing on the tab bars. i have no idea whats wrong with the itunes or my iphone. previously i could synced and stuff, but after i update my itunes to the latest update and it couldnt sync my iphone anymore. i checked my 'preferences', everything seems fine. 'prevent iphones from automatically sync' is unchecked. so please help me.

Suddenly having multiple problems with new iTunes
So my iTunes is all messed up and I don't know why.
I recently was given a new PC from my parents, and one of the first things I did was to import my old music library (about 12000 songs on an external hard drive.) When I added the files I kept receiving an error saying that iTunes could not save the library and, sure enough, the next time I opened iTunes there was nothing there. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of itunes in case that was the problem, and after that I couldn't even get it to open, it would always give me a message saying that required files were missing. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled about 5 more times and had no luck.
Most recently i decided to just plug in my iPod and see if my pc would recognize what files were missing on its own. Strangely enough, iTunes opened. Unfortunately it still is unable to save my library. It also says that it cannot read the files on my iPod and that I need to restore its settings, but I would hate to erase it (its a full 160G Classic) just to have itunes be unable to put any files back on it.
If anyone has any idea what is wrong I would greatly appreciate the feedback.I should add that as of this morning iTunes appears to opening fine and reading my iPod (which is inexplicable because I haven't done anything with it since my 1st post.) iTunes still, however, will not save my library. I keep getting error message {-1450}. Also, every time i open iTunes, I am asked to agree to the user agreement, as if i had just downloaded the program.

Whew... never buy an iMac or Laptop from Apple without the 3 year extended AppleCare... well 2 years extended... & I think they should be called on this, they should come with a 5 year Warranty, with more available if you want.

Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...
/sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

iMessage does not activate over Wi-Fi on a phone, it needs to send a hidden international SMS to the Apple servers for activation. Do you have cellular service on the phone? Do you have an SMS plan? Are you using an Apple supported carrier? If not, then the carrier could be blocking the activation SMS. ive had a problem syncing with itunes recently. when i delete a song on my iphone when i sync with my computer it still syncs but just greys out and is rendered useless. thats great unless i when i want to add new music or videos from my pc to my iphone it wont sync and will just grey out. i looked for solutions and one said that deleteing all your music from the usage in settings would fix it, well now when i sync all of my music is greyed out. ive tried adding all of my songs manually into my ipod instead of syncing entire library and nothing. (also when i select to sync music nothing shows up in the usage bar (normally 3 gigs) might help) could someone please help?

if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

i bought this 5th gen used i've tried to reset it to clear out the songs on there now, and when i connect it to my laptop to connect to itunes to sync my music nothing happens

Having a problem with eBooks in my iTunes library.
As the title says, I'm having some problems with the iTunes library not reflecting what's actually on the disk.
I add the ebook and it seems to add ok. The file gets consolidated into /mymusic/books under the author correctly, but the book is missing from the library. The book is in ePub format, and seems to have the right file extension and shows up as a file of "ePub" type in windows explorer.
Any ideas? Is there a way to re-build the library or a portion of it?Hi tony paine,
