I'm having problem networking a Yamaha home theatre amp with vTuner (net radio) with my 2nd gen Time Capule. I only occasionally connect.

Remember everything outside Apple uses SMB type network protocol, not AFP..
That means all your names have to be SMB compatible.. ie
TC name, wireless names, hard disk name..
They must be short, no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
Explain how the whole network is connected.. which is the main router.. ?
How is TC2 connected to TC1?
What mode is it running in?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Having problems opening firefox (vista) i have to goto task manager and close process all the time just to reopen?

hi i have just recentley started having problems opening firefox up (before update) i use vista, i can double click on icon and nothing happens but when i turn pc off it pops up as the screen is going off very strange? the only way i can get it to work is by going in to task manager and ending firefox process yet there isnt firefox running????

yea thanks thats the issue there is nothing in applications for firefox so i cant close anything there but in processes there is Firefox.exe useing 30,000k so i close that, but im even stuggling with that now to get firefox working now i just had to do that process around 10 times!!!!! and then only with right clicking firefox in start menu

HT1338 How do I update osx 10.4.8 if the network admin utility is not compatible with my apple airport extreme and I an't connect to the internet?

I was given an iMac desktop computer, operating system OSX 10.4.8 (2011). The network admin utility is not compatiable with my airport extreme router, and I am unable to connect to the internet to update the software. Can someone please tell me how to update the software or download a newer version on the network admin, or how to connect this computer to the internet?

This linksys bridge is the safest solution since it doesn't require any Mac OS drivers.
Airport ExpressAirport Express is an external unit and you can configure it as a bridge. 802.11n ( I bevieve you will need a more modern version of Mac OS X to configure. Sadly, Apple uses a configuration program to configure, not a web browser. )

Has anyone tried using the AirPort Express Base Station with a first generation Time Capsule and used it to extend their network, while still being able to use the Simultaneous dual-band 802.11n on their network?

The first generation Time Capsule was not a simultaneous dual band device.
If you add the "new" AirPort Express to the network and configure it to "Extend a wireless network", it will extend the one single band signal that it is receiving from the Time Capsule.
In other words, the AirPort Express will not extend simultaneous dual bands in this type of setup...since it can only "extend" what it receives. You would need a simultaneous dual band Time Capsule if you want that type of functionality.

Having problems: can't open an html file with textedit to change code

Hi. I have been trying to open up both my index.html and my Welcome.html files with textedit in order to change the HTML codes for them - but it doesn't seem to work. When I open them using text edit I still get a discomboblutaed form of the web page and no html codes. HOWEVER when I open them with Word I can get at the HTML code. Will changing the code in Word work or must I use textedit to do it? ULtimately does anyone know how to fix the fact that your web URL always gets redirected to the home page because of the index file. For Instance, my web site is www.zanzibarhotelbeach.com but when you type that in it redirects to the opening page www.zanzibarhotelbeach.com/Home.html which is a problem for when you want to submit your web site to be found on the net. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Cheers!

Give TextWrangler a try. It's a free editor by the makers of BBEdit and is very well suited for editing HTML.
But as far as your URL in the window, unless you have URL forwarding with masking you will always get the page name at the end of the URL in the browser's window. That's just how it works. With masking you will only get www.zanzibarhotelbeach.com in every window of the site. BUT visitors will only be able to bookmark the first page of your site. My tutorial site, http://toadstutorials.info/ is set up that way.

Is any one having trouble with audio books in WMA formatting converting with the new ios v5

Since updating to OS5 in my itouch I have lost all my library audio books. I have downloaded a couple of new library audio books. The books look like they are being loaded into my itouch but are not there. The only way I can access them is to make a playlist for each book and drag the numbered files into the playlist folder. There are a lot of problems with this method - book chapters are not in order (I have to tried to reorder them without success) and if I stop listening to a book, when it starts again it starts at the beginning of the chapter. Before OS5 I had no trouble with WMA files or anything for that matter. I hope there is a solution soon.

Don't be rude gdgmacguy. I am having the same problem since the update. It will not let me receive iMessages through my phone number, and when I enter my apple ID and password it says it can't be verified because it's already in use. I don't have any other devices using iMessage

ok, i read the help stuff but my questions arent being answered. Curently I have a jack that plugs into my card, (in the digital output - black) that then is connected to an rca cable via a connector. I plug the RCa cable in my digital input slot on the back of my reciever (5.). (I use this same slot to connect my hd reciever) I run the speaker settings for audigy, and then calibrate. Im only getting the front 2 channels during the speaker test. Why is this? i dont get rear 2, subwoofer, or center. I play a game where eax is enabled and still nothing. I know I have the right connections. Someone please help... It's kinda sad hat you buy a 80$ soundcard and dont get free phone support for it, they want you to pay an additional $20 which is rediclious... anyway somone help me, I need to get this working... Please respond to this as soon as possible since this is now in printing stage we need to send it immediately.
Adobe disabled attachment, I just made a screenshot and sending you the image as attachment for your reference.
The design has "Black" overlapping on "Blue" giving transparent on Blue color, see the pdf for reference.
Please not that there is no transparency in "Black" or any other color used in that page.
This is related to "preserve overprint" problem, when I switch off the preserve overprint in "distiller" setting I am getting the correct result but "Black" become "Knockout" instead of "overprint".
Is there is any way to solve this problem.
Please advice.

When you Knockout the colour it should cut a hole in the shapes below it -
Start by creating a New Black Swatch
Then Apply that swatch to your black frame
Below I have turned off the Black Separation, and you can see that it has knocked a hole right through the items below - I've also shown you the Attributes Panel - you can see in the Spearations panel to that the black is still 100%
Below is what happens when you have Black set to Overprint
YOu can clearly see that the values are added up - You now have a 284% ink coverage here - so anywhere the black goes over the green here the values are added together and that gives you a different shade of black, because the Black is PRINTING OVER the other colours and adding, as ink is transparent, not opaque.
If the black frame goes off into the white it will be 100% for whatever is touching the white, and then 284% when hitting the green here, so you get two distinct shades of black.
