I'm having problems downloading Office Mac on my Macbook Air

I've got my office mac program on my USB.
Now i have a MacBook Air and would like to install it on using it (As I have no Disk drive on this refurbished make)
Here is the folder, from there I double click the first item and it creates a program link on the desktop
From there i double click the installer and installation goes on
After inputting my User details for verification this shoes up.
I have tried full shut down, closing all programs, restarting; and have gone through the forums but have found no solution, I am lost.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

While they certainly don't make it clear, if you actually select the link on CNET, it's only an update file (Office2011-1434UpdateEN.dmg) which is listed on Microsoft's site:

Problems Downloading Office Mac 2011

Just purchased and downloaded office mac. I have downloaded it but it only appears as a document file and will only open with TextEdit. How do I fully install it?

Can you tell what the name of the file that you downloaded is? (specifically the type of file it is would be good to know)
How big is that file?
You say that when you double-click it, TextEdit opens. What does it display? Gabrled text/symbols? Or is it text you can actually read?

Having problems downloading latest Mac update 1-10-06

Been trying to download the latest ipod update SEVERAL times from two different computers.
I'm downloading the Mac version and it gets stuck at 99.9% in Speed Download 3. It quits well before that in Software Update and in Safari. No matter how I download it, it's not getting here.
Even tried downloading it on a PC. That didn't work, either.
I'm in India right now, and tried to download by saying I was in the US on the form you fill out. I tried to say I was in the UK, and also in India. None of them worked.
I'm at a total loss why the file isn't completing. Please help.

DO NOT download it.
A lot of people, myself included, have been having all sorts or problems with their iPod since they've downloaded this update.
My iPod currently sits in a desk drawer until Apple releases the next update that hopefully fixes all the problems.

Will I be able to completely remotely control and access my Office Mac from my Macbook Air at home?

I am in a bit of a dilemma and need some help from the community. I have a Mac Mini running 16GB Ram 2.3 I7 and 1 TB Fusion Drive at my office, it is in Parrallels Coherence mode 100% of the time. I have to run certain Windows apps from home. I am setting my routers at the office to accept NAT-PMP, or Plug and Play so that I can access them.
I have two questions:
1. Will I be able to use back to my mac, or screen share to completely operate and share my mac mini with a new mac book air?
2. I am buying a new MacBook Air, I am under the assumption that I can get the 13" 4gb, I5, with 256 GB and I should be able to quickly access and handle all basic remote access, iphoto stuff and some i movie stuff occassionally.
Am I correct in these assumptions? Any recommendations?
I do have IPAD apps that can also access two of the three windows apps that are critical to my company, but really need a traditional computer with mouse to run them effectively remotely.

Yes to both, as long as the Mini is running Mountain Lion or later OS you can use Back to My Mac and Screen Sharing. It will be as though you are seated at the remote Mac. Connections and speed will be determined by Internet conditions.

It's pretty seamless. Copying files for example is a simple matter of dragging them to or from the Screen Sharing window. If you have multiple users on the Mini you can log in remotely as any user for which you have access, or share the screen interactively with a user's consent.
The only uncertainties are your router, but according to Apple all that should be required is to enable NAT-PMP or UPnP.
I use Apple routers, to eliminate any uncertainty.

Via a network connection with a computer that has an optical drive. Be cloning the DVD to a USB flash drive. And by DVD or CD sharing- Using Remote Disc.

SP beat me to it...downloading the application is the easiest path to take...just be sure that you download the correct version (2008 Vs 2011) to match your key.
In the future you have a few of choices when it comes to using discs with your MacBook Air. If you think you'll need to use discs often you can purchase an external drive from Apple:

Note that the Apple USB Superdrive is proprietary and the only one that will work with the MacBook Air. In other words, you can't just buy any external CD/DVD drive.
The other, less expensive option is to "share" your iMac's Superdrive with your MacBook Air. Here are the instructions for doing that:

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data.
Quit the App Store application if it’s running.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Delete the following items from the Library folder (some may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.appstore
Leave the Library folder open. Try the App Store again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit again. Go back to the Finder and move the following item from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist
Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
Test. If the App Store now works, delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, quit again. Put back the files you moved, overwriting the newer ones that may have been created in their place, and continue.
Step 3
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

I am having problems downloading my 90GB playlist on iPad Air

I have the 128GB iPad Air and I am not able to download/sync my 90GB smart playlist. About half way through, it stops or acts like it completes the sync, but not all of the music is downloaded onto the iPad. I have tried from a fresh erase/re-set and after adding a couple of apps. Your Mac and iOS device both need bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on. You do not have to be connected to a specific Wi-Fi network.

Years ago I bought office:mac 2008 with 3 licenses, and I want to use one for this MacBook. The problem is that I can't use the disc 'cause it doesn't have CD/DVD driver.

If you have anti virus software installed, you need to disable that in order to download apps.
