I'm having problems with Google since the Firefox 4 upgrade.
Since upgrading to Firefox 4, when I try to do a search from the Google home page, and I click on "Google Search" I am taken to a blank page w/no results. However, if I search through Google's Advanced Search feature, I don't have any problems. Any advice on how to fix this?
Wifi issues are one of the common issues being reported by users. There is not much you can do at this point but wait and hope that th 10.8.1 update will address these issues.

You may have inadvertently installed adware. You do not need to download or install anything to fix it. It ought not to be related to any Apple security update.
For a description of how this may have occurred, how to avoid it in the future, and for Apple's recommended actions read How to install adware. Apple's instructions are linked in the Recovery Procedure near the end of that document. Read and follow them carefully. Pay particular attention to the easily overlooked passages directing you to restart your Mac when required. -
Seriously, what's the problem with Siri since the iOS 7 upgrade?
I don't know if it's just the fault of iOS 7 or not because I only have one Siri capable device and so I can't compare. But since upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 7, Siri has definitely gotten much much slower, and sometimes ends up with the "Sorry I can't take your request now" response, which I never saw in iOS 6.
I've heard other people complain too.
Is it an iOS 7 problem? Has Apple changed Siri since releasing iOS 7?
With all their money, why can't they add enough servers to handle the load?
I'm on high-speed wifi almost all the time, and the pauses, delays and non-responsiveness has gotten seriously annoying. I used to miss Siri when I went from my iPhone 5 to my iPad 2, and was thinking of upgrading to the next iPad because of Siri (for one thing). But as of late I would classify Siri as more annoying than useful.
Are other people also having problems with Siri?
Thanks,
dougI assume you are joking. Like why after a year would I suddenly start holding my iPhone 5 differently immediately after the iOS 7 upgrade?
Anyway, a quick Google search shows I'm not alone:
http://tidbits.com/article/14154
"Siri, Are You There? -- Less firm are the problems I’ve experienced with Siri in iOS 7. At times, Apple’s servers are clearly having trouble, since I’ll get a message back from Siri telling me to try again later. And other times, I’ll say something to Siri and just get no response back at all — or at least no response in the amount of time I’m willing to wait before I perform the action manually. All this started when I began using preview builds of iOS 7 — under iOS 6, I’d become quite fond of Siri."

Is anyone having problems using Facebook since the IOS 6 upgrade
MY husband and I have 2 iPhone 5's, an iPad and an iPad Mini. Since we downloaded the IOS 6 we are not able to get comments or photos on Facebook without shutting down and turning the device back on. Is there any way to fix this?
Having similar issues it seems here with Microsft Outlook and iphone connected via Exchange ActiveSync.
Seems when one user creates a meeting and invites multiple other users, one user in particular, when they respond to the meeting request from their iPhone (running iOS6) to either accept/decline the meeting, it ends up canceling the whole meeting and sending out notifications that the meeting has been cancelled and removing it from people's calendars.
Would love to know if someone has a fix for this type of issue. I'm going to try to disconnect the user from Exchange on their phone and reset the connection back up. -

I'm having problems with iPhoto and the facebook set-up. Every time I attempt to do so it says an error has occured and try again later. I have not seen a solution posted. Therefore, how does one contact Apple to solve the problem? I'm new to the world of iMac but I find it a bit frustrating trying to solve basic issues/problems:(
For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
Thanks for listening,
Melissa -
I have just got an iPhone 4s on vodafone. I'm having problems with 3G, at the top it says Vodafone E, usually it would say 3G wouldn't it? At the moment my 3G isn't working. Anyone know what to do?
Yeah it does have that on/off switch and it's turned on. Siri won't work for some reason, I don't know if it's to do with this E thing?

Is anyone else having major performance problems with FMLE since the upgrade to Mavericks
OSX Mavericks seems to be having problems with streaming uploads in general, but in particular, I can not stream videos with FMLE at all. I tried it with my accounts at Ustream and Justin and they have the exact same results, with the stream pausing and going black after just a couple minutes. It doesn't seem to matter what my output settings are; this will happen even if it's set for extremely low bandwidth.
This did not happen when I was using Mountain Lion. I am almost certain the new OS is causing the issues, but I am not sure how or why, and am having trouble finding others with this problem.
Other programs I am using in conjunction with FMLE are CamTwist and SoundflowerI have problem streaming to twitch/justin.tv using Mavericks.
I've tried most of their FMS-servers without success. I get this loop:
Wed Oct 30 2013 01:53:58 : Primary - Re-establishing connection, attempt 1
Wed Oct 30 2013 01:53:59 : Primary - Reconnected to FMS/3,5,7,7009
Wed Oct 30 2013 01:54:04 : Primary - Network Status: NetConnection.Connect.Closed status
Wed Oct 30 2013 01:54:04 : Primary - Disconnected -
Hi, Im having problems with Google
Hello. Recently I' ve been having issues with Google. Whenever I try to open it, a Yahoo YQL window with random data comes up. Can somebody help me to solve this problem? Its really annoying me.
Thanks.Hi,
I'm not sure how many different IP addresses/subnets are involved with Google but if you can create a group of IP addresses/networks then you could
Create ACL rule and log hits to the rule in questions to your syslog server and monitor which hosts are connecting to the said IP addresses
Create a simple traffic capture on the ASA for the said destination IP addresses and look/parse through the capture file with Wireshark for example
Those are the first two that came to mind.

My notebook is set to update Firefox automatically which it did last night. Since the update, when i open the Firefox browser, it opens up several tabs after the home page. I am also unable to copy of the page, when i do try it opens up the very same page in another tab. Also i am experiencing problems with my Microsoft office programs, since the Firefox update was done. I am unable to open documents within the programs, when i do click to open a new document or try to open an old document, it automatically closes the program. My operating system is Windows 7 home Basic, 32-bit operating system.
Please help, thank you.
Regards, Kyle Campbell

You should get the options to Save File or Cancel (not Open). Hopefully after saving you will be able to find the downloaded file in the location you specified.
One other note, before upgrading, you may want to back up your Firefox settings just in case. [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. -
Problems with google stuff on Firefox
Recently, My Firefox has problems with googling stuff. For example, when I try to access simple Google.com on the address bar, it gives unusual error:
Secure Connection Failed
www.google.ca uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate does not come from a trusted source. (Error code: sec_error_inadequate_key_usage)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could
not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command
found in the help menu to report this broken site.
Firefox gives me the same error message when I try to find information by entering the simple entries such "News", "Microsoft" and etc on the address bar. Apparently, I can't use Firefox to google.
Do anyone know what's wrong with my Firefox browser and how can I resolve the issue ?A few other thoughts:
(1) If you access Google in IE and click the padlock icon in the address bar to view the certificate, what do you find in the "Issued by" section as the issue? I have attached the info from Firefox for comparison; I don't have a modern version of IE on this PC.
(2) Do recall changing any encryption-related settings, either through the Options dialog or using the about:config preferences editor?
You could check for non-default settings as follows:
(A) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''ssl''' and pause while the list is filtered
If any of the preferences whose names start with network. or security. have been customized, they likely will be bolded and show "user set". Could you post those by right-click copying the preferences and then right-click pasting into a reply? -
Firefox is having problems with google and google calendars
Two things: can't keep two separate google accounts functioning, one being their calendar used by a client to which we have access (client A), and the other a gmail inbox (client B).
The two accounts are unrelated but accessed from the same computer. When trying to refresh after appt setting for client A, google defaults to client B's calendar and logs me out of their gmail account.
Second hassle, incoming messages to the gmail inbox activates the scroll bar and takes me to the bottom of whatever page I am viewing on the net, or if I'm typing an email hangs the machine so I can't use the keyboard or swap between tabs.
I also have trouble with plugins so wonder where the problem lies?Is it a safe assumption that website is your's? <br />
What difference does it make which browser '''''you''''' use? Isn't your website for client's or potential clients?
That said, I don't have a problem with that web page on Firefox 2.0.0.20, 3.0.19, 3.5.16, 3.6.13, or the 4.0b9 nightly - it looks the same as in IE8 on 32-bit WinXP SP3, with an AMD 64-bit processor.
The problem shown in your screenshot is with your own Firefox installation. It's like all the "styling" is turned off.
''''' "I infer Firefox needs a 64 bit version." ''''' <br />
What good is a 64-bit browser without 64-bit plugins? <br />
Adobe still hasn't released a 64-bit version of Flash, although they do have a "preview" version available. <br />
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html
''BTW, Mozilla does have a Windows 64-bit version of the Firefox 4.0 betas that is being tested now, but it is not going to be released in Jan / Feb when Firefox 4.0 is released. It will probably be released later in 2011 with one of the 4.# versions, I suspect right after Adobe has a 64-bit Flash release version.'' -
Having problems with ebay since upgrading to 10.0.1
can anyone help?, i upgraded from 3.6 to the latest 10.0.1 a wk ago, all seems fine except when it comes to ebay, i cannot send a message to anyone! and ebay bless them just said today that the problem lies with firefox?,
hope someone can offer any helpI picked a random game and looked at their forums and some people were having problems.
One solution was to trash the preferences folder. However, that deleted any save points.
As I don't have any of the games, take a look you your user/Library/Preferences folder for a folder for the game or for BigFishGames. If there is just a plist file, you can try moving that to the desktop and start the game. The plist will be recreated by the app. If that doesn't work, try moving the entire folder to the desktop and try again. If that does solve it, you can try moving items one-by-one into the newly created folder and see which one causes it to fail. -
I have recently purchased a Mac. I'm very dissapointed at the way Outlook 2011(the newest version, what?!?)interfaces with the Mac. I used the contacts feature all the time when I had a microsoft system. Now, I can't do that with Outlook for the Mac. Does anyone have any alternative Apps that they've used for Business contacts? Thanks much.
thank you both for your responses. I'm having trouble mostly with a way to handle my business contacts. I'm self employed and when I had Outlook for Microst(before I switched to Apple)I was so pleased with this softward. Esp the way it would keep track of any correspondense between me and my customer. I could also track billing thru Outlook contacts.
Now, I get my mail thru outllook and use ical and @contacts. I see that I can have a separate group of contacts thru @contacts, but, it's not the same or nearly as good as Outlook contacts for Microsoft.
So, right now I'm really disapointed with my Mac purchase and hoping to find an app that will help. I will investigate Thunderbird.
thanks again. -
I have been having problems with flash opening the Weight Watcher Plan Manager.
SInce the flash update on July 26th I have not been able to open the plan manager in Weight Watchers. I have uninstalled flash and reinstalled it a number of times. I even reinstalled an older version and it does not help. I have already done a clean install, deleted cookies, history and the cache. I have contacted WW and they are no help. I usually use Firefox, but it also does not work on Chrome, or IE9. Any ideas?
You have the latest version of Flash Player installed, and it seems to work (since you can see the Flash animation on the Adobe website).
A few things to try:
disable Hardware Acceleration; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337 (re-enable it if it does not resolve your problem)
disable Protected Mode; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071 towards the end (re-enable it if it does not resolve your problem)
try another browser, e.g. the 64-bit version of Firefox: Waterfox, or Internet Explorer

Blur Gallery masks, would love to be able to load them as the source for the effect.
How cool the Blur Gallery is, one of the best things Photoshop got in the last time. I see that when you use the Field Blur, you can save the mask to channels, which gives you a grayscale representation of how the effect was applied. It would be VERY
