I have recently download the maverick OS and my computer run slower than an 4 years old PC with tons of viruses. Someone knows why apple is making that mistakes? or how to fix the speed of my mac?

Very likely. Hard to believe the carrier in Mexico doesn't have a micro-SIM card available.

Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget.

i just upgraded my operating system from mountain lion to maverick. i did a clean install on a new hard drive.
anyways, my desktop mac mini computer using mountain lion is having no problems with my outgoing mail with my domain name.

password
using the exact same info on my laptop with maverick
no dice.
mail comes in but can't email out with my domain name
i tried - smtp.1and1.com:(email address)
any suggestions

Having problems with mavericks?

Hello everyone! i have a 13"inch retina MacBook Pro (late 2012) and i've noticed that since i've upgraded from mountain lion to mavericks, all the animations of the mac have slowed down a lot, it's not a serious problem, but i want to know if i am the only one having this issue, many blogs recommend a clean upgrade but i'm not sure about that, and i dont know why but even with mavericks installed everytime i go to the mac app store and i search for mavericks it says "Download" and appears a window that asks me if i want to download the full version.. is that going to erase everything i have, or should i try downloading that again? Also i have to mention that i haven't download any apps (except for iwork and office) and i dont have a lot of music or pictures, if you know something about this please let me know!!.

Try these in order:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
     Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
     COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
     after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
     Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Is anyone having problems with iCloud not properly working on their MAC?

it seems like iCloud works great between my iPhone 4S and my MACBOOK, particularly with Mail, they seem to sync perfectly however, the same does not happen with my iMac! With iCloud are all your systems suppose to sync the same? if so what should I be doing to make sure I'm using iCloud properly?

There may be a problem with the cookies that stores the "remember me" details. Try deleting cookies for live.com (including account.live.com and login.live.com cookies), for details on doing that see the [[Deleting cookies]] article.

Having problems with OS X 10.4 updates. System slows then crashes.

Got an older G4 400MHz and have done a clean install of Tiger OS X 10.4 from the DVD onto a new hard drive. Have done the software updates to 10.4.11 and, for some reason, after a while the cursor freezes. I do a restart and the same thing happens. I have done an Erase in Utilities and then reinstalled and only did partial updates to 10.3. But after a while the same thing happens. Panther 10.3.9 is on the the second hard drive and it runs as smooth as glass. It runs iTunes up to 7.5 but 7.6 only runs on 10.4x.
I cant figure this out. A local Apple dealer told me I should be able to do the 10.4.11 updates and he's done it on an older G4 with no problems. Could this be a system requirements problem? Does Tiger require a faster processor? 10.4 works but just. Or do I have to do a firmware update?
Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't get back last night because of a certain football game on TV. WOW is the only word for it. It wore me out. I'm not exactly a Giants fan but I love upsets and close games that end like that. I think the whole country (and world) saw a truly unforgettable Super Bowl, one for the ages and perhaps one of the ten best ever. Not only that but the 1972 Miami Dolphins perfect season of 17-0 shall be preserved, maybe for another 35 years. I disconnected my Firewire DVD burner. I have a printer and a scanner running off a USB port hub. I'll disconnect them on my next attempt to work in 10.4 on the other hard drive.

Oops, only 308MB of the 640MB allocated on the four slots seem to be working. Is that what you read? They are in 1 256MB and 3 128MB sets. I have some back up RAM in a drawer I took out of an old iMac G4. I'll replace some of it and run the test again.

That requires a CD which I don't have. My wife has a iMac G5 which she guards jealously and she may have Hardware Test CD. She may also have a OS 9 Classic Support CD which I need to install Classic on the 8GB partition I created before my latest Erase and clean install. Is 8GB enough for Classic on an 80GB hard drive? I don't think Classic will solve the kernel issue. I had Classic partitioned before on another hard drive, before I bought the new 80GB, and had the same OS X 10.4x update crashes. The cursor becomes unstable and then suddenly freezes usually about 5-7 minutes after booting.
NOTE: In the kernel panic doc, there is mention of resetting the PRAM. Could the problem be my PRAM battery? I think it needs replacing. I've been getting the message "your computer is set to the wrong date". It presets to Jan 1 1970. A date I remember well. Hung over and sick after a drunken New Year's Eve saying farewell to the 60s and hello to the 70s on a beach.
You may be right, this isn't a software issue, it's probably corrupt hardware that's easily replaceable.

I have been having issues with downloading and updating apps on my iPod 4th gen. How do I fix this? It's getting really old really fast.

So yeah, this has been going on the past week. When I tap to upload my apps, some update right away, but others won't. Sometimes they will dowload half way, sometimes they won't at all, what causes them to stop is this little message that pops up saying, "This app cannot be downloaded at this time." and it gives you options 'Done' or 'Retry." Instinctively I hit retry. Through the course of the day I did this, I kept hitting retry, and eventually all the apps that were updating, updated, but not very effieciently. All apps updated, except for one, Facebook. No matter how anytimes I hit retry, it wouldn't update. I got real sick and tired of it, so I deleted it. I decided to go through everything and delete old apps, pictures, music, thinking that I didn't have enough space. I go to download an app I've already had to test this theory out: Still doesn't work. The stupid thing won't even TRY to download. So, is there any way I can fix this without taking a sledgehammer to my iPod? Because, honestly, I am severly ticked off at how stubborn this is. Please help. Before my patience runs out and I break this thing.

Using Windows 7, 64 bit, Firefox 6...all plug-ins are up-to-date...I've checked flash, java, video display drivers, windows updates, run virus scans, checked for malware, cleaned temp files and profiles...all is up-to-date...still at random times on any website for about 30 seconds i get a not responding tab...if I wait it out then it will come back just fine. It happens with one tab open or several open and just happened as i was typing this. Add-ons i'm running: Adobe Acrobat 10.1.0.534, Java Platform SE 6 U26 6.0.260.3, Quake Live 0.1.0.433, Shockwave Flash 10.3.183.5, Silverlight Plug-In 4.0.60531.0........Extensions: Adblock Plus 1.3.9 and DownloadHelper 4.9.5. I was having problems with my iPhone 5s. Was able to get another 5s. In the process of setting it up, but it is taking forever ... and it seems to be frozen at one particular place.

I was having problems with my iPhone 5s (couldn't receive iMessages or emails). Cell company tried "fixing it" but to no avail. They ordered me a repacement 5s. Trying to set up, but it is taking forever. Seems to be stuck in one particular spot. It's at the stage with a black screen, white apple icon and a bar underneath. The bar is is just a fraction complete, and it has been stuck in this spot for almost an hour. Tried to restart it but it went to the same spot and froze again.

You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect.

What is the frame rate of the project? At what frame rate was the media recorded? What frame size?
What are the audio settings?
What are the specs of the machine, in particular how much RAM, how is the hard drive connected, etc.?
If possible, post screenshots of the inspector for the project.
It could be related to the audio frequency?
